My aide is really good; some of them really suck but I got lucky and got a good one. It’s a mixed bag; you stick your hand in and see what you get. They do everything from bathing to setting up my medication. I also have a lady that sweeps, mops, and does laundry. My overall experience is an A but that is because of who I have. I have had people in the past that I had to call the agency and tell them to not send them back again. The punctuality depends on the person; mine is very punctual. I have Medicare and Medicaid and they pay for it.
Description of Work: I am disabled and in a wheelchair and Help at Home comes in to help me with chores.

They are about as good as anyone else. It is paid by Medicaid or Medicare. If the person they send doesn't do what I want them to do, I have to advocate for myself. I call the company and tell them what my complaints are. I negotiate with them and they either get it straightened out or they assign someone else. I generally have the same person over and over so I develop a relationship with them. My person is pretty good on punctuality. Not everybody is as good as my person. They do not always communicate when people can't make it or schedules change. They have to be trained if they do any medical treatments and I don't have any medical treatments done for me. My nurse is good.
Description of Work: I use Help At Home because I am disabled. They send homemakers and nurses to help me so I can stay in my home and live independently. The nurse was here yesterday and the homemaker was here Tuesday. She sweeps and mops. She goes grocery shopping and goes to the food bank for me. She does my foot care because I am disabled.
