Description of Work: This is a tough one. I had an old Mitsubishi big screen bottom projection screen. The convergence went out. I knew from searching that Mitsubishi had quit manufacturing these types of TVs entirely and parts were getting scarce. | |Also, The Service Center was in the middle of being bought by another firm (possibly the Sound Room but I do not remember), so my direct line to my tech was removed. Information did not flow well after that. | |The tech had to come out twice because the first time he came (after a several day delay) he had the wrong parts (said they were mislabeled in their storage system). After waiting several more weeks for the correct parts to come in (with no communication from the Service Center and at least 2 voice mails unanswered), the tech calls to set up an appointment. While here he fiddled around inside the TV for a long time and never was able to get the TV to turn back on. He said perhaps the 4 ICs he had to soldier in were bad. He could try to get them from another source. | |At this time I had lost faith in him and with what I knew about parts and technology, I decided it was time to buy a new TV. | |There is a small possibility I would use them again, but probably not. Now that I no longer have a TV that required in home service, I will probably take it somewhere else if the new one needs repair.

We wanted it repaired by the w/e and they came the day after I called. Price was on the low side of the companies I had called in the area. TV is still working great.
Description of Work: Came to my house and repaired color separation on large TV.

Description of Work: We were having trouble with our TV/cable connection. The Service Center sent someone who was not familiar with our set up ie cable box going through an AV receiver even though I had clearly explained the set up on the phone. The very nice tech came out and fooled with a few connections. He confessed that he really wasn't versed in using AV connections and promised to check on it with his boss nad call me. I never received a call.

Mr. Ruyle asked questions about the type of problems I was having with my TV. He then offered some ideas and sugestions as to what could potentially be causing the problem with the color/tint. As a result of my phone conversation with him, I was able to fix the TV without having to pay for a service call, etc. Mr. Ruyle solved my problem over the phone and did not charge me a penny for the service! I will definitely use The Service Center in the future with any TV problems I might have. I was very impressed!
Description of Work: I called Tom Ruyle at The Service Center due to problems with the color/tint on my 55" Pioneer TV.

An over all excellent job. The same technician that told us what part needed to be replaced installed the new part. He was very punctual, considerate and knowledgeable. The TV works fine and I would call them again for a repair without hesitation.
Description of Work: The picture went out on our 4 year old Panasonic Plasma TV. The Service Center came out and after a few minutes decided the Power Board needed to be replaced. As soon as the Service Center got the Power Board the technician came out and installed it.

Based on this result and my discussions with them, they clearly have the capability to do wide range of repair and calibration of all types of audio and video equipment. I have other planned speaker electronics/ control-crossover systems work that I am certain I will have done by this firm based on my experience this year.
Description of Work: Repaired, replaced all belts, lubed, and fully checked out and made functional, a 25 year old Onkyo Cassette Tape Deck. They were recommended by Onkyo web site. They were polite and informative on phone. They did an excellent job of updating and fully restoring this unit. They completed the work in one week which was faster than promised. Unit came back to me fully protected in plastic wrap with no cosmetic damage as a result of their rebuild work.
