Description of Work: Annual boiler check , install shut off valve for outdoor faucet

Description of Work: Duplex unit would not heat; heat turned off before it was 68 degrees, the legal requirement for rental property in St. Paul. I installed a new Honeywell thermostat, but it made no difference-problem continued. Mark Berg, 36 years experience, checked the baseboard heating system. He also bled the expansion tank which had too much water-"waterlogged". The heat at the rental unit was then inspected by Mark Berg. He took the new Honeywell thermostat's front face off and studied it. He diagnosed the problem as one of two tiny on the back of the face not being set correctly. He reset the switch to work correctly for a h9ot water/warm water heating system.swithcesthe Heating system checked in rental unit of duplex. Temperature going up when he left and was at 64 degrees. However, problem persisted. I had renters use a heater I supplied them to get it to 68 degrees. The City inspector removed the Condemned placard-the notice if problem was not fixed, no one could live there. I called Rascher Plumbing and Heating again, stating problem continued according to tenants. I double-checked temperature with two independent thermometers I bought at Menards and both thermometers read 64 degrees at 5 feet off the floor, so they matched the new Honeywell thermostat reading that the room temperature was 64 degrees I scheduled Rascher Plumbing to come out and replace the thermocouple because Mark Berg told me it was corroded and to clean the main furnace burners because they were dirty. When I called one of the tenants about the appointment time, , I found out from him that he had installed a new Honeywell thermostat himself one year ago. That thermostat was identical to the new one I had just installed in the past week. I had studied the back of that thermostat the night before and had set the tiny switch just as Mark Berg had done. Whend Mark Berg arrives, I will tell him that the "old" i year thermostat had been set incorrectly by the tenant when he put it in in the past year, probably in March, 2017 at the end of the heating season. End of review for right now until Mark Berg shows up this afternoon to do the above additional work.

Description of Work: Have hired them many times in the past. This time the job was to install a garbage disposal and two in-counter soap dispensers for the kitchen sink plus tighten the faucet and replace the intake hose. They have been one of the few companies that could work on our hot water heating system in the past.

Description of Work: Had a leaking hose on kitchen sink, and called them to replace and service sink. Got me in touch with Kohler customer service to get a replacement part for free. Took 30 days to get from Kohler. We decided to do some remodeling on our kitchen, which will include replacing entire sink and fixtures so we decided we didn't need to repair the sink for a few weeks. That we would just wait until kitchen remodel starts. Would have absolutely called Rascher back for the service. They were so helpful and so responsive to our needs.

Description of Work: Had many problems due to furnace failure while away and all pipes froze. Mark, Jason and Kip were extremely responsive, very personable and did thorough clean work. Many faucets and piping needed replacing and done quickly and for a fair rate. Service dates were in Jan. , Feb., and June 2017.

Description of Work: We had a water leak that We thought was coming from the upstairs bathrooms. The water was pooling on the main floor next to the wall enclosing the pvc waste stack. Jason and Jake QUICKLY found the leak that was caused by a tiny nail hole in the waste stack that occurred when the baseboard was naked to the wall in the main floor. They replaced that section of the waste stack with minimal invasion to the wallboard. They also replaced the upstairs bathtub overflow drain and floor drain system. The overflow drain rubber gasket had worn out and the plate screws had rested in the holes of the PVC tube and I could not get them out I had put duct tape over the overflow drain because that's where I had thought the water leak was coming from. They also checked my kitchen sink faucet which is loose. Jason advised me that it is wearing out but is not leaking and does not need to be replaced immediately. I will pick out a new faucet and they can install it for me.
