Halvorsen Sewer and Drain Cleaning

Arrival was punctual, as promised. He took shortest and least disruptive rout to the basement location. He made sure there was adequate coverage to cover any work related moisture issues. He worked quickly and did a very good job of cleaning up. I expect him back in approximately two years to do it again. A side note - We have been using Halvorsen Sewer Services since before w moved into our home in 1996 and have always been happy with their service. Another note - I think we get what we pay for in service, courtesy and workmanship.

Third visit here over the past few years by Eric for a variety of drain problems in our quirky 90 yr old house, SW Mpls. He's always prompt, clean, fairly priced and things work again after he leaves. Figured out exactly what's wrong (not always easy in our house) and fixes it. Never had to come back for a re-do. Highly recommended.

Floor drain was backing up onto the basement floor after doing a load of laundry. Eric came a few days after being called. Was not an emergency so no problem waiting. Eric showed up exactly when he said he would. He did the job quickly and cleanly and made sure the drain was working before he left. Eric is a very personable. Would definitely call him again when the need arises.

Eric and his assistant were awesome! They arrived right on time, performed the cleaning quickly, and were very neat. They laid down newspaper to make sure they didn't splatter water anywhere, and even cleaned up the mess that the backed up drain had caused with hot soap and water! I was very happy with their service and plan to have them back annually.

I have used Steve Halvorsen Sewer Service for drain clearing many times during the 30+ years we have owned our home and would never use anyone else! Steve and his assistant, Eric, arrived right on time, were very efficient and effective, and did a fantastic clean-up job after the mess that I had created. They also fixed a leaky pipe and told me how to keep my laundry tub from draining too fast.Their work was fabulous and the price extremely reasonable! Steve has rescued many of us in our south Minneapolis neighborhood over the years. Highly recommended!

Came over same-day to roto my sewer. Steve showed up exactly on time, explained the problem to me in detail, cleared out a spot in my floor where a previous owner had covered a drain with concrete, and cleaned up completely when they were done. He even fixed a leaky faucet in my basement while they were clearing the sewer! I'd highly recommend.

Steve has maintained the drains in this house for decades, starting back when it belonged to my parents. He has always provided excellent, courteous service. He arrives on time, completes the job efficiently, and cleans up when finished. His work is guaranteed, but I've never had any trouble with the drains he's serviced. He is very thorough and has fixed small drain problems uncovered while cleaning. I give him my highest recommendation.

This was an emergency and Steve responded quickly.

Provider arrived on time however I was late. He left his card on the door and I phoned him up when I returned. He rescheduled the same day over the lunch break after finishing another customer. He is careful to prepare the drain area from splashing on to the wall and the washer and dryer that are near the drain. This time an assistant accompanied the Provider. The assistant was courteous and stayed on task performing the cleaning, running the snake several times and cleaning up. Work is guarantees for 90 days. I have never had to call back with a problem. I have used Provider many times. We are an active family with sports gear and loads of laundry, 2 bathrooms.

Steve was great. The line had a fair number of roots, and Steve did a totally professional job clearing out the line. He was on time, took care with my house and carpet. I trust him and will let no one else take care of this important household maintenance job.

Drains at both houses had begun backing up. Contacted Steve on 1/18/2010 and made an appointment to have the work done on 1/22/2010. Steve and his helper showed up on time at both places, did the job, and cleaned up. The work was done quickly and efficiently. There was a blockage in the pipe at the relative's house that was difficult to remove, but it's gone now. Water drains freely at both houses. Steve has always been pleasant and easy to deal with.

We noticed that our basement had a really foul smell and were concerned that dangerous sewer gas was leaking from the main sewer line. We called Steve Halvorsen and within minutes he was at our house replacing the cap on the main sewer line. It was great that Steve came over so quickly and we were glad to have the reassurance that we were not in danger. We are existing customers, so he did not charge us. Great service!

We've hired Steve for the past 6 years on the recommendation of our home's previous owners. Every year we get the main sewer line cleaned for tree roots & the laundry drain lines cleaned for yearly maintenance. Steve is always on time & professional. Great guy!

In November Steve arrived promptly, did his usual excellent work. Nice guy to talk with as well. Was able to do the job within a day of my call.

I called Steve on a Monday for an annual sewer cleaning. He and his apprentice came out two days later, arrived on time, and was careful not to make a mess in our finished basement. I am very pleased with the experience and will definitely use Steve in the future. After a bad experience with a national chain, it is nice to work with an experienced local company that cares about customer service.

Great job! I called Steve on a Saturday (not an emergency) and he came promptly on Monday morning, did the job thoroughly and finished quickly. He's a funny guy with a wry sense of humor. I'd happily use him again in the future.
