From Susan Lynx, Sunflowers Massage: Effective May 1, 2017 I am once again taking new clients after a hiatus due to illness in the family. In addition to over many years of experience in therapeutic massage, I am now a Reiki Level II practitioner. My practice is shaped by the beliefs that body, mind and spirit are one, and that a healing relationship is essential to therapeutic effectiveness. Quiet home office in creekside residential neighborhood. PRICE: Office appointments = $80 per hour plus tax. PLEASE NOTE: My practice is in a dedicated home office. Home office provides a quiet environment, abundant free parking on the street. Dog and cat on premises.

At first, I felt awkward going to an in home massage, but quickly changed my mind. The atmosphere was professional, the massage was GREAT and felt like I was free to talk or not. Very comfortable environment. I felt that I was being heard when asking for more or less pressure in various places of tension in my back.
Description of Work: I have a job that's quite physical. I was looking for some massage to unwind my muscles and relax my body.

Susan provides excellent traditional and cranio-sacral massage techniques. She is friendly, professional, and provides a comfortable environment, always inquiring as to my comfort level and preferences.
Description of Work: I have been going to Susan for massage on a regular basis for over three years. She is friendly, professional, and considerate. She asks me what I need, but also provides suggestions if I want them, and often spends extra time with me to discuss general health concerns, options, and exercises. She has extended her weekday hours to accommodate some later appointments, so that I'm able to schedule after work as well as on some Saturdays, which are usually necessary to schedule several weeks in advance.

Her office is in the basement of her home, so not quite as relaxing as a dedicated space, but was a fantastic massage.

I was surprised the massage was in a private home, in the basement. It was appointed like a normal massage room. However, as a conservative voter, I was uncomfortable with the liberal display. The massage was a normal massage. Nothing stands out in my memory in a positive way to encourage me to return. One has to be able to walk down basement stairs.
Description of Work: I bought a discounted massage because it was located conveniently. The provider was punctual.

Susan is great. She's knowledgable about the body and very thorough. In addition to traditional massage, she did some energy work that was so completely relaxing it surprised me. If I lived closer, I'd go there as often as possible.

I bought an Angie's List coupon for her message services. When I went to use it, I called to make an appointment three weeks out from the date I wanted. I got the appointment time and date I wanted. When I arrived at her home/office for the appointment, she had doubled booked herself and couldn't fit me in. When we tried to find another day, I found out that she rarely does evening and only some weekend appointments. When I did finally get in for the message, she was good and friendly. However, I would not see her again. I prefer to see someone that doesn't do it out of their home and has more appointment slots open.

Regarding the double booking: I am very sorry that I was double-booked. This should not have happened and it won't happen again. I would be glad to give you a free half hour to compensate you for your inconvenience. Regarding my hours of availability: My hours are Tues-Sat 8am - 5 pm and are included in my Angie's List business profile. I encourage all other Angie's List members to read the business profiles before buying a coupon. However, I can understand that might not happen when people are looking at online coupons. I would be happy to provide you with an additional free half hour, bringing your total free massage to one hour. Please let me know if you wish to schedule your free massage.

I have a very complicated schedule with kids, graduate school, and work, but Susan was able to find a spot for me! I arrived and was immediately impressed with the restful environment. I didn't have to wait, and Susan talked with me first about what I was looking for that day. My neck and back were so tense (I've had various injuries over the years) so we focused on those. Susan helped me to adjust and get comfortable on the table, and even changed the music for me--she offers relaxing music, no music, whatever. Very accomodating! When we were done, Susan showed me a few stretches that I could do to help keep the problem areas from getting tight again, and let me know about any specials or holiday deals coming up. I highly recommend Sunflowers Massage for anyone--give it a try! :) Eileen Peterson
Description of Work: Susan is a registered nurse and a FANTASTIC massage therapist. Because she understands the body so well, Susan was able to pinpoint trouble spots for me as well as recommend stretching exercises that have really helped me. Plus, she was so accomodating to my schedule. The office is clean and has a relaxed atmosphere that was very calming. I would recommend Sunflowers Massage to ANYONE! :)

Susan gave me one of the best massages I have ever had. She was very solicitous, kind and professional. She adjusted her pressure in a very intuitive way and ended with some lovely craniosacral work. I came away feeling incredibly relaxed and loose (like liquid, rather than muscles and bones). I would describe her work as restorative to body and soul. A very spiritual experience.

Great massage, professional provider, comfortable in-home office setting. I will definitely return and I recommend her to others.
Description of Work: Sunflower massage consists of one owner/operator female massage therapist who works out of a home office. I went for a therapeutic massage for some chronic back and neck pain, but also wanted a relaxing massage experience. Her massage area was well set up on the lower level of the house, with a restroom, in-room heater, and clean space away from the house proper. Given that is was her house, parking was easy and free! The provider was very personable, yet professional. Of all the massage therapists I've had over the years, she is one of the best as far as technique. She adjusts the pressure as requested and stays in touch with how the client is doing. Some massage therapists talk too much while giving a massage; she doesn't do that, which helps the client relax and experience the full benefits of the massage. She also included some cranial sacral therapy at the end of the massage (after checking to make sure that was ok with me).

Saw the deal come in on daily deals and took advantage of it. Was able to get in fairly quickly. The therapist works out of her office located on the lower level of her home, so it had a very relaxed, homey feel to it. I have had a fair number of massages and numerous places, but I can honestly say, this was one of the best I have received! The therapist was thorough about asking if I had any areas i wanted to focus on (for me it was lower back and hamstrings). She wasn't afraid to explain what she was doing with the massage and included some stretching that really helped with the tightness and soreness I was feeling. I would highly recommend this service.

Susan is a PHENOMENAL masseuse and a lovely person. She is SO intuitive about the needs of your body and mind! She is extremely collaborative and is interested in giving you the massage YOU want. If you don't know what you want, she will give it to you anyway! I've been to many masseuses and she is the TOP!

Susan is terrific. She is a lovely person and her massages are simply the best. She works our of a very comfortable studio in her home. She is a very well trained and also intuitive massage therapist. She is generous with her time. She has a nursing background which is very beneficial to her work as well.

She was very welcoming and I felt comfortable in her home office. She explained her massage philosophy and even gave some recommendations for some other health issues I've been having. She did a wonderful job and the whole experience was very relaxing and helped with my pain. Highly recommend!
