From start to finish, this was a great experience. Todd was prompt in calling back to make the initial appointment for an estimate, arrived on time, and gave me the estimate immediately. He and his crew arrived to do the work on time, went to work immediately, worked industriously the entire time they were here, and did a wonderful job. Todd estimated that the job would take about 2 1/2 days, but it only took two days. I especially liked the fact that they moved all the furniture, covered up everything with plastic, and even put down a covering on the front sidewalk. All in all, an "awesome" result!

sI requested an estimate and I believe it was Todd that came promptly and gave me one. The description of proposed work was not very detailed and i should have requested a little more detail on what was the proces. It would not have changed much but it would have helped me understand what i needed done. Approximately a month later at the agreed time the crew started the work as scheduled. they appointed enough people to finish the job a day ahead of time. During the process Dan who was the contractor in charge was open to discussing additions to the work and he gave me on the spot quotes and options that i found very fair and agreeable. We ended up repairing more locations that had water damage and painted the ceiling also. The only issue i have and it is the reason i did not gave a straight A is that they totally underestimated the amount of dust and debri the job generated. they did not cover the hardwood floors with material strong enough to withstand traffic without tearing and the result is that in several spots the floor was scratched a lot. Dan provided a scratch remover and asked one of the guys to try to fix the damage but in some locations the floor is still visibly scratched. If i had caught it earlier i would have asked them to use cloth instead of plastic for the floor. i'm sure they would have complied. I will still use them for upcoming jobs because they were punctual, very thorough in the skimming/painting work, and friendly to work with.

Todd was very available and met all of my needs. Definitely recommend him for any interior paint job.

Todd was wonderful during the estimate process in pointing out potential problem areas for me to consider. I never felt he was trying to increase the size of the job and I really appreciated being showed possible issues that I no longer noticed due to "house blindness" since I had been in the house 14 years. He really wanted to help me get the house into the best shape possible to aid in my sale potential. There were between 5-7 workers for each of 3 days and they were all professional, friendly and helpful. I needed some high windows cleaned and the response was "Do you have Windex ?". The worker went around to the high windows and removed the screens for me to wash, cleaned the glass, and re-mounted the screens. The work completed is excellent and the clean up was very thorough. I would highly recommend them.

Todd explained what and how they were going to do the repairs. With plaster walls and ceilings in an old house this can be challenging. We are pleased with the results.

I called Shelton Painting and Drywall and spoke with a lovely woman. I described my job and she transferred me to Todd who understood what I needed done. He gave me an estimate that day and we scheduled the work for the following Monday. They did the work as planned, removed the old peeling and falling down plaster from our ceiling. They patched the hole and skimmed it with new plaster. The craftsmanship is outstanding. They cleaned up after themselves and the left the work area looking as good as they found it. They were very conscientious. Todd made some suggestions as far as painting to get the job finished right. He really went above and beyond and we appreciate that. I'm very pleased with the job.

A crew of five arrived as scheduled and carefully prepared the work area by moving and covering all furniture, woodwork, counters, light fixtures, etc. We had four rooms that needed attention. They all worked long hours the first day. All work was completed in two and a half days. Quicker than promised. The workmen were capable and professional, efficient and polite. The walls and ceiling look like new. All details were carefully and openly considered. Quality products were used. Upon completion, everything was left clean. Shelton Painting was able to complete a variety of jobs in our home with lightning speed while still maintaining attention to detail. Up front with great communication on what was being done. All work was accomplished at quoted price. Complete courtesy and awareness of our comfort level. Thank you so very much!

After calling several contractors and not receiving calls back, Dan from Shelton Painting called me back the same day. We quickly set up an appointment to meet the next morning. Dan arrived on time and was promptly able to assess my situation and make recommendations. I have old, 3/8 inch, wavy sheetrock from 1948. The walls had been painted several times. There were peeling layers of paint, obvious seams and a lot of unattractive old drip marks/texture. Dan explained why they would have to paint a primer coat after re-mudding, to highlight any imperfections so they could be corrected. Shelton painting was my second quote for this work and was $500 under previous quote, making the project within my budget. Dan and his team showed up on time both days and were friendly, answering all my questions and those of my father's. Jim and Jaime taped off the whole room, including the large furniture I could not move out and the fireplace/windows/etc. I informed them they were welcome to listen to the radio. They respectfully listed to Cities 97, much to my father's surprise and pleasure. They allowed us to inspect on their progress and kept us informed step by step. Dan came back several times to check on the work and check in with me. Jim and Jaime also had the additional challenge of working around pre-painted crown molding, window and door trim. They did a great job protecting my hard work. They also caulked around the crown molding, something Dan strongly recommended for a finished look. He was right! It was a pleasant experience from start to finish and the work was done on time. I now have beautiful walls. I will also add that I am a very particular person. I would certainly recommend Shelton Painting and, if needed, I will use them again in the future.

A crew of three arrived on time as scheduled and prepare the work area by covering all woodwork, counters, light fixtures, etc. Todd, a foreman, arrived and made sure all workers were informed as to what exactly had to be done. He left and they worked for the next 7 hours on the job. Two workers (and Todd) returned the following morning and continued working another 6 hours to completiion. Two coats of paint were applied to all surfaces (not counting the spot primer). The job was done extremely well. All surfaces looked great and we really liked the overall work! I would heartily recommend Shelton Painting to anyone who asks. The quality of their work is exceptional. The crew we had not only did a fine job from start to finish but continued on with washing down all vertical surfaces on the cabinets and countertops to clean up sanding dust. They removed the plastic from the vinyl flooring when they finished the job and even washed the floor! All workers were polite and worked as a team. One other point: We had no idea as to what color to use. Prior to the job, Shelton Painting suggested we contact the Sherwin Williams Paint store in our area and have a color consultant come out to help us in choosing the right colors. We did that and were happy with their service. BTW, Shelton Painting is going to refund us the $75. fee we paid to the color consultant!

I was in attic on Sun. the 8th and my knee slipped off rafter and broke drywall on Kitchen ceiling. Had probably a 2 x 3 ft. hole. Monday morning first thing my wife found Sheldon Painting on Angies list, she callled and they said they could come out that afternoon for a look. Todd was here 20 min. early, most people are late it seems to me, anyway he looked over the damage and gave us a price and said they could start at 8:30 the next morning. The first person was here at 8:15 and at 8:30 they were all here and ready to start. On the first dayk they repaired the drywall in the kitchen and took the texture off the rest of the ceiling in kitchen, dinning room and hallway, going to a smooth finish rather than texture. Plus they painted the ceilings in the family room and living room. Wed. the workers here at the agreed time and they finished up, cleaned up and were out of here before 4:00 pm. They made a great effort at cleaning up also(anyone can tell you drywall dust is really hard to get it all in the first half dozen cleanings)!!!

Shelton Painting did a beautiful job. I am extremely happy with the work. It's a huge improvement to our townhouse. The workmen were professional, polite, on time, and really worked hard. I have had other companies do painting for me, and no one holds a candle to these people. The price tag seemed a bit steep at the outset, but given how hard they worked and their attention to every single detail, it was worth every penny. They cleaned up everything, started and finished on time. If I have any other painting done, Shelton is the only company I will use.

Todd responded right away to my request for an estimate. When he did the estimate, he was both friendly and professional. On the day that the work was scheduled, 3 men showed up exactly on time. I was a little bit worried because Todd was not with them, and I left for work right after I let them in. However, when I got home from work that night, everything looked great. They did a walk-through with me, and had great pride in what they had done. They filled in all the nail holes on the windows, sanded the steps before applying the poly, bleached the window sills to get rid of a couple water stains, and cleaned everything up so that I couldn't even tell that work had been done that day. Great attention to detail. I plan to use them again this summer when I paint my living room ceiling and walls.

I highly recommend Shelton Painting for anyone looking for help with a paint job. They are very responsive and punctual. They immediately returned my call when I inquired about getting an estimate, showed up on time to take a look at my condo and provided the estimate to me within two days. They were prompt about scheduling the job and when a earlier spot opened up on their calendar they called me right away to see if we would like to get the job done sooner. The painting crew was professional and did a great job in our home. They were extremely efficient and got the job done quickly while still maintaining the high quality of their work. They were up front about prices and I considered the cost of their services to be quite reasonable. I liked them so much that I recommended them to a family member, who was also very satisfied with their work.

The whole experience was great! They came out right away and do a quote. Their price was very competitive and they took the time to explain what they would be doing at the best way to approach my ceiling given they were coating multiple surface types. They recommended an oil based primer and then two coats of paint. They were able to coordinate with my schedule on when to do the project as I had some other things to get done before they started. They showed up on time and knocked the project out in a day. The crew was great and personable. They kept me informed of the progress along the way and asked me to look at it to make sure my expectations were being met after each coat. The result was amazing and the ceiling looks great. They definitely exceeded my expectations. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Professional, high-quality work. Work crew was terrific and very good at what they do. The project manager was very responsive whenever I called or had a question. I'm very happy with the results and process.

When I called Shelton Painting, I got a same-day call back and set up a day for the estimate. Todd arrived promptly on that day, walked through the house and told us what they would do and gave us the estimate, which we accepted. He was very friendly, easy to talk to. They moved the furniture, covered everything in plastic, and repaired all the cracks and dents and holes before painting. They put on two coats of paint. The crew arrived on time, were professional and friendly. After each day, they cleaned up, and moved the furniture back. We are extremely pleased with the job that was done. They finished in two days. Very speedy, yet quality work. I rated them a B for cost only because I think everything should be less expensive, but really, for the work they did, it was reasonable. We will definitely be calling them again next time we need something done.

Forget the story, let me just cut to the chase: Four guys came to the house and meticulously sanded every piece of wood on the house. Thirty years of built up layers of poor paint jobs were leveled to perfection in a matter of two days. The crew showed up over the next many days and with the concentration of a Swiss watchmaker they painted the three colors we chose for trim, soffits, windows, walls and garage doors. They worked diligently and yet they were very pleasant to talk to. We couldn't decide whether to use one color or another for the garage doors,. We came home from work one evening and they had painted each garage door completely one of each color so we could decide which one looked better. This was just crazy stuff. They knew they'd have to repaint one of the garage doors but they did it like it was business as usual. They were genuinely interested in us being satisfied with their work. The clean up was fantastic. Yes, you will probably need to wash your windows because painting prep generates a lot of dust. They masked off glass pretty well for when they sprayed the soffits. A little sprays got on the glass but no big deal. The first time I talked to Todd Shelton I remarked on the high ratings they get on Angies List. He said to me: "It's really pretty easy. You just do what you say you're going to do." Well, they definitiely do it and do it well.

Called for estimate on 9-19-11 and did not get a call back.

If I could give a rating above "A" I would. When I solicited bids, Sheldon was competitive. I had to wait a few weeks for the job to be completed, it was worth the wait. The painting crew were top notch. The attention to detail was just outstanding. I was employed in the customer service field for over 34 years. Sheldon provides what I call "legendary service". "You are our customer, you tell us how you would like this done" was the attitude from each and every painter I had dialog with. For example, a painter was in the middle of our rose trellis painting. I asked if I could trim away some of those vines with those very nasty thorns. His attitude was, "look, I know how people enjoy their plants, I am being careful, no need to trim, I will work around your roses." This is what I call customer service. All I can say is when I need any painting done, I will call on Sheldon. IMOH, It is worth the wait.

We used Shelton Painting for the exterior of our home so we didn't consider anyone else to do our interior. Todd and Dan are great to work with. If you every have any issues they will make sure it is taken care of. We had a issue with timing on our part and they were so accomodating. We were so thankful to them! Our designer picked out all the paint colors and they did their thing. The crew was very nice to work with and did a great job. They were here 3 days and everything looks amazing! We will never hire anyone else and have recommended them to a lot of people already.

My wife and I are pretty good interior painters but these rooms were just too difficult to cut in and beyond our expertise. When these rooms were initially finished off, they sprayed the ceilings and walls in one fell swoop with a drywall type mud, then pressed it in. The side effect was the right angle created by the wall and ceiling is not smooth at all, but full of little bumps. We tried using a straight edge to cut, we tried Frog Tape, but the paint just kept creeping up onto the ceiling and looked horrible. I don't know how they do it free hand, but Shelton painting was able to come in and cut in these rooms with no problems (even did the 3 window wells). Years of experience, a good brush and a steady hand made all the difference versus our crappy attempt, and the rooms look just great in the new color (we rolled and taped off the woodwork the day after) I felt the fee was very reasonable given the time it took to complete the cutting in, as well as the VERY professional job performed. Would certainly use again, as well as refer.
