+ 1 moreI obtained 3 quotes and Plumb Right was the only one that came to the house to quote the job. One of the quotes was about the same as Plumb Rights and the other was lower. I went with Plumb Right because they took the time to come to the house and look at what had to be done. I didn’t want any surprises. As my old water heater was starting to leak they scheduled me right away. The plumber was prompt and did a good job. Only complaint was he was slow and it took most of the day.

+ -1 moreIt's a long story but let's just say we purchased a new stove and the company that was supposed to install it for us said they couldn't do the work leaving us without a stove. So, I called around and on the third call we were greeted with such a great attitude and a great way that Plumb Right answers the phone that it just brought a smile to my face. They were just excellent, understood our problem and were able to get a plumber out to do the actual install in less than 2 hours. All I can say is that it's very refreshing to find a company that still values customer service and will do what they can to help you out, they could be a model for how do treat your customers right to get that repeat business. Erik was our plumber, he showed up on time, bid the job, let me know how he was going to accomplish it and proceeded to do a quality job. Just outstanding! They even emailed a bio of the plumber so we know who were were getting before he came to the house. The next time we need a plumber, Plumb Right is going to get our business. Highly Recommended!

Our water heater broke after business hours and any calls had to wait until I got home from work. I contacted a few places through Angie's List and the first one to respond was Plumb Right. We're so happy they did! They came early the next morning, discussed our options, and went right to work removing the old and installing the new. He tightened everything and explained that no water was getting into the wall. Since no damage was being done, it was safe to not replace pipes

+ -1 moreFinally the job - part one of two. They just finished the changes to the industrial looking gas pipe banister rail and it looks AWESOME. No joke, it looks exactly the way I hoped it would, better even!! The job took a little longer than anticipated and was a little more complicated than expected but thankfully that didn't incur a higher bill. The job was performed for the quote provided and the results are perfect. Erik was the name of the gentleman who performed the work and I couldn't be happier with him. I'm looking forward to him returning next month to install the shower!! THANK YOU, ERIK! THANK YOU, PLUMB RIGHT!!
Description of Work: I've had two very good experiences with Plumb Right. I really love these guys and I'm generally a little skeptical and cynical of contractors due to having been burned a few times before. The customer service overall is excellent. It's easy to get in contact with them beyond calling (who likes calling anyone these days?!) via their website, email, Facebook or Angie's List. They're super responsive, getting back to you usually within an hour if not the same business day. They're friendly, polite and super helpful. Before getting any work done they get 3 stars. Soooo many contractors never get back to me, call and leave me long voicemails, tell me they're too busy... I know this is a basic expectation and should be easy to meet but time and time again, I'm surprised by how often others #epicfail at this but Plumb Right gets the #EPICWIN. Next is their approach to estimating and planning... I wanted a shower installing in our carriage house above our garage and an addition to an industrial looking bannister rail leading up the stair that is made from gas piping (installed by the previous owner). The guys from Plumb Right came out within 24 hours to look at the space and to provide me with a free estimate, no call out charge - another #Win and justification for the 3 stars. What put them up at 4 stars is HOW they performed the estimate. I'm baffled when contractors pull numbers from thin air after taking a quick 30-second look at a job. Frankly, that approach ****** me. I want to understand HOW an estimate is calculated, I want logical, rationale and transparency not a 'gut feel' or 'ball park' because you can't be bothered or aren't able to provide me a better idea: I want to understand dimensions, materials, the steps that will be performed to execute the job, the rough level of effort, benchmark cost data if possible... These guys had their tape measures out, got on their knees, on their tip toes, they created a sketch to talk me through several different ways of performing the job, several risks that might incur additional cost during the job, several different trim levels and how those would alter the cost... perfect!!! Their quote fell in the middle of several others I received beforehand but of all of them. It wasn't the most expensive and it wasn't the most expensive, but I was most confident in the estimate Plumb Right provided me.

Erik identified that actually it was just the dishwasher leaking, no plumbing issues involved. He was prompt, efficient, friendly and answered some miscellaneous plumbing questions I had unrelated to this incident. If I run into plumbing issues in the future, I will be calling them back.

+ -1 moreThe plumber was polite and listened to my concerns. He did warn me that he was not sure the replacement of parts in the toilet would resolve the hammering problem. I appreciated his honesty, but, as things go, the toilet fix did not entirely resolve the noise. I wish the plumber had been more imaginative/creative with his approach, but I believe he tried and was sincere. Wish I had been given more options and he had not discounted potential causes. I landed up calling another plumber who made more progress with the problem. I'm told that these hammering problems can be difficult to resolve. As to the laundry tub drain, plumber sold me a liquid, natural drain cleaner.

+ 0 morePerfectly. Costs were reasonable, cleanup easy, work performed flawlessly, honored the coupon. Work lasted 4.5 hours, he had a difficult time getting through the roots as they were spread out throughout my line and it hadn’t been cleaned properly in 20 years. He worked fast and efficiently. Inspected the sewer line with a camera to ensure it was totally cleaned out.
Description of Work: Initially we needed a clog cleared. After discussion of clog history, they encouraged me to clean out to the street and we found several roots that they eradicated. They then went the extra step of contacting the city to get the map of where the sewer line runs as I live in the middle of a short block and my sewer apparently runs through my neighbors back yard. They assured me we went the entire length of 155 feet and my sewer should be good for two years.

+ 0 moreThey looked at the old water heater and provided me with several options and an estimate for each. I decided to use them and selected a replacement system. They had difficultly getting the house water to turn off completely because one of the two valves had failed, so they also replaced the valve with a more reliable ball-valve. They did a nice professional looking job and cleaned-up afterwards. I will use them again for future plumbing needs.

+ 0 moreThey came the same day I called and determined 2 things: 1 - a leaking pipe above & dust/cobwebs could cause the pilot light to not stay lit 2 - I will need a new water heater soon. They fixed the pipe right then, which would have to be done anyway, and made sure my water heater stayed lit. This allowed me time to save for a new water heater. I will definitely use them for future service. I selected this company because they are local, family-owned (like the one I work for), had good reviews, and the owner's last name just happens to be the same as mine! (No relation.)
Description of Work: My water heater pilot light wouldn't stay lit. I used the Angie's List coupon for $25 off any service.

He quickly solved the issue I asked him to address to my complete satisfaction, coached me on how to finish the vanity install, and then offered to walk around my house and evaluate the plumbing since we just purchased it and were getting ready to move in. During the walk around, he provided great advice on the toilets, water heater, and kitchen drain assembly. And none of it was a sales pitch or an effort to get another project out of the visit. He was genuinely helpful. Also a really nice guy. At the end, he charged for the service trip, and that was it. Couldn't be more pleased.

+ -1 moreI have to say I wish I could write 2 reviews. One on the work and another on the price. The tech that came was actually early, very nice, identified the problem quickly and had it fixed in short order. It was same day service. The problem comes in with the pricing. The tech arrived at 2:30pm and the work was finished by 3pm. Very nice. However he then proceeded to charge me $427! I asked how much of that was parts and how much was labor. He was unable to tell me. I asked again, and again he couldn't say for sure but he "thought" the part was "around a hundred dollars". So I said $59 to drive to house, $100 for the part (he thinks) that means I am paying $268 for a half hour of labor. What kind of company can't tell you how much a part costs and how much the labor costs are for your particular job? He told me I could call the office but that they don't usually itemize the costs. He said that some of that is overhead, truck and so on. I said isn't that what the $59 fee for simply driving to my house is for. He went on later to say that that is how flat rate pricing works. I would have paid the same if my job would have taken 3 hours to do. I said "Well that makes me feel just great. Because I am lucky enough to have a job that was quick and easy I get screwed on cost so someone who has a more difficult and time consuming job gets a great deal" Bottom line my job was very overpriced. If you have a small job I would not recommend this company. However, if you have a large job, you will get an awesome price.
