Excellent work done.

We didn't go with them but they were really nice. They cost more than the other service provider we got an estimate from. They were very knowledgeable about lead paint and professional. We trusted him with the lead because we have little kids. We would have probably been more comfortable with them but their price was higher than the company we went with. They even gave us a little booklet on lead paint information. They really knew what they were doing.

I used this company before for a very small job (they repaired damage to a cieling and matched perfectly the popcorn texture), This was a much larger job. His estimate was the middle of 3 I received. He performed a walkthrough with his supervisor prior to starting to make sure expectations were clearly outlined. The crew spent a significant amount of time preping the walls, something previous painters had not done. They spackled or sanded every bump, hole or blemish to the point that the walls look like new. The crew was professional and courteous. I don't usually allow workers in my home when I'm not there but I felt very comfortable with them being in my home unsupervised. When I called Jerry to express some concerns he was out to meet me the following morning and satisfactorily addressed every point. For my money, you won't find a better craftsman.

I love this crew! They are meticulous and actually left the house cleaner than how they found it. The work is so wonderful I would give them better than an A if I could. My house looks better than new. They give me updates and explain the work that is required to do a quality job. My husband keeps looking for a paint smear on woodwork but there just is none. I will hire this crew again and soon!

They did a great job. They were very careful, fixed all they problems the ran into. They were on time and worked very hard.

I was really, really impressed with Jerry. He spent nearly an hour here and provided a written estimate that was very thorough. Unfortunately, his estimate was almost 3 times (!) higher than the others we received. I have no doubt that his company's work would have been fabulous, but in the end, after a lot of deliberation, we just decided it was more than we wanted to spend.

Response to my estimate call was prompt and we were able to set up an appointment within a week. Jerry Wind came out for the estimate, arriving slightly late but very apologetic-- no problem, given the estimate was during afternoon rush hour. He listened well to what I wanted done and examined the areas where we wanted painting and ceiling repair with a practiced eye; he was very good at pointing out what was done presently and what he'd do differently. He mentioned the products and techniques he used. His company doesn't appear to skimp to cut costs or corners. He suggested full repairs for the basement ceiling and full priming and repainting of the three bedroom ceilings, and giving an "interior look" to the front entry trim. We declined the proposal because of price and my wife's slightly better "vibe" for another highly rated Angie's List painter.

They worked for 6 days on this. I would absolutely hire them again. If there were 10 +s I would use them!

The initial preparation went well. The walls and ceiling were skim coated and sanded perfectly. When it came to the ceiling texture, we learned that all ceiling knock-down textures are not the same in that the method of applying the texture can change the look entirely. Since we were expecting the look to closely match a knock-down texture in another room, we were disappointed with the first results. However, Jerry Wind agreed to match the look as closely as possible by renting a different texture spaying machine and redoing the work. Marlon, who did the actual work for us, was very conscientious and ultimately did an excellent job matching the texture in the other room even though the first machine that had been rented did not work correctly. A second texture machine had to be rented in order to finish the project. If you expect to match a texture somewhere else in your home, be sure to let Jerry know before hand so he can show you samples of what can be done. That way there will be less risk of a surprise later.

He has a terrific crew of painters. It was excellent all around. It was great service. He was really on top of things. He was great at communicating with us, about what was going on and what they were going to do that day. His crew was great at communicating. I have a really nice garden and they did a great job at not damaging it.

Can't say enough about how great the experience was. Jerry, Marlon, and Jose did an excellent job at making me feel confident in their abilities from the very beginning. Jerry and Marlon came initially to look at the project and scope out the work. Marlon did color matching and had me review a few different areas. The matching was tricky because the surrounding framework was 80 years old and looked very different everywhere you looked. He found a base that would work in all areas and then tweaked here and there with different stain colors. Once I approved the base, Marlon and Jose went to work on all the windows. Both Marlon and Jose are nice, honest, and incredibly respectful guys. I enjoyed talking to them and felt comfortable with them in the house while I was working (I have a home office). Yes, they were more expensive than other bids but I trusted his expertise and the cost reflects the extra time spent on color matching. Jerry and I discussed this in detail up front.

They gave us an estimate and came in with their estimate. It was a very professional group who did really nice quality work. My wife felt really comfortable dealing with them.

They did such a good job. They treated me and my family very professionally but at the same time they were very kind and honest. They were prompt and on time.

This company is meticulous, they are very accommodating. The employees are very considerate while they are in your home working. There's nothing I don't like. They did a really fine job.

Very good overall quality of work. Contractor contacted us 2 weeks in advance to set start date for job that was rough scheduled two months ahead. They did some small extras at no charge. Workers were courteous, punctual & efficient. Job went several days longer than projected due to illness of one worker and workers overlooking a large area until pointed out to them when they said they were done. Contractor agreed with our assessment when he came to do a (supposedly) final review of the project with us. Job then took a few days to complete, mostly with only one person working. Contractor was pushing to be paid before some re-painting of peeling areas painted by them 2 years ago was completed (this was itemized in the contract as work to be done at no charge, he asserted that since all paid work specified in the contract was completed, they should be paid). However, they still had keys to our garage & basement, and one of our ladders. Watch contract language for pitfalls like this!

It went very well. Craig, Jerry's Foreman, performed the work and was always courteous and prompt. He and Jerry understood the products they were using and were willing to explain exactly what they were doing, and what the differences in the paint would mean to the finished product.

Jerry returned initial call promptly and estimated job. His wallpaper estimates were right on. His crew, especially Marlon and Craig, were professional, pleasant, and excellent craftsmen. Their work ethic was remarkable and they clearly take pride in their work. They cleaned up daily and showed great respect for our home. They worked every day from start to finish and met the completion goal exactly. Jerry and his crew kept every promise made. The results are terrific - our home looks beautiful. I can recommend Painting by Jerry Wind without reservation.

24'' section of kitchen ceiling was damaged due to a leak. Sheetrock was repaired by homeowner. Painting by Jerry Wind taped, spackled, and re-popcorned the area. Did a fantastic job. Cannot tell there was a repair. Showed up on time, reviewed scope of job, took care to put down drop cloths and section off area to minimize dust. Absolutely fantastic.

The foreman Marland went above and beyond in service and providing us with updates that he came across in our old house. The outcome was beautiful!

I HAD BOOKED THE WORK 6 WEEKS OUT, THEN SUDDENLY NEEDED IT DONE RIGHT AWAY, AND THEY WERE SO ACCOMMODATING. I FELT VERY SAFE HAVING THEM IN MY HOME DURING THE DAY. EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN AND NEAT AS A PIN WHEN THEY WERE DONE. IF I EVER NEED PAINTING DONE AGAIN, I'D HAVE THEM BACK IN A HEARTBEAT. I WON'T EVEN CALL ANYONE ELSE!

JERRY WIND IS THE TYPE OF OWNER THAT YOU WISH THEY ALL WERE. HE IS VERY RESPONSIVE, HONEST, POLITE, AND ATTENTIVE. THE GENTLEMEN WHO ACTUALLY PERFORMED THE JOB WAS COURTEOUS AND CLEAN. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HOME TRADITIONS.
