Overall everything turned out fine, however our Sales Person Gina failed to disclose at time of rental contract that there was an additional delivery fee to have delivery within a 2 hour window.  Gina should have disclosed this to us at time of contract signing (we would have paid the fee) instead of us finding out about the fee two days before the event.  Also, 6 tables we ordered were "unavailable" at time of delivery according to the delivery people.  We had reserved and paid for these so saying the tables were "unavailable" was not the best way to treat a customer.  They were delivered later that day but the unprofessionalism bothered me.

We needed a poker table for a small tournament. Looked around at other rental places closer to the West side but all they offered was small, fold-up tables. Midway offered a large, 10 person table that fit the bill perfectly! I was even able to go look at the table before I rented it. A good experience from the staff in the showroom to the guys in the warehouse.

It all went very well indeed. I was pleased--and even better--my guests had a great time.

I had a signed agreement from Midway Party Rental to set up two large tents in our yard and our neighbor's yard on Thursday between the hours of 8-5 pm two days before our wedding. They called several times during the day to say they were running late, that it was a busy weekend. They finally arrived at 8 PM TO SET UP TWO HUGE TENTS requiring staking, poles, etc. At MIDNIGHT, they were still pounding stakes...and not done yet. I told them they had to leave, it was a work night for people, the sounds of them pounding stakes were reverberating across the Lake. I reminded them that there were noise ordinances. One assembler agreed to come back in the morning. He did come back and finished with the tents by 3 pm on Friday, we had problems with lights not working, had to pay for an electrician to fix Midway's lights in order for the fire marshall to sign off on using them...it was a nightmare.THE WORST PART is that it EVERYTHING got behind because they didn't finish the tents on Thursday. We were decorating late into the evening (after the rehearsal dinner) and even on Saturday, the day of the wedding. I would NEVER use Midway Party Rental again. They were overscheduled, they should NEVER have started tent installation on Thursday at 8 PM. They promise more than they can deliver.

I went to the Midway Party Rental offices in St. Paul. I was able to look around at the actual items like tables and chairs. I met with a knowledgeable person who listened closely to what my needs were and showed me the various choices and prices. He wrote up an estimate and told me that he would stop by to actually look at our backyard and make sure that what we had chosen would fit appropriately in the space, which he later did. He was careful and thorough. All the items were delivered exactly as we ordered, the estimate was accurate, and the items were all really nice, not shabby or worn-out like you sometimes see with rentals. This was one of their busiest weekends (June 2-3) and I got a slight price break because I was flexible on the date of delivery/pickup. The consultant's recommendations were just right for the number of guests - everyone was comfortable, and the tent was the perfect size. Midway Party Rental proved to be efficient, reliable and high-quality, and I would definitely recommend them.

Found the both our sales rep AND the dock workers to be very pleasant, informative and helpful. Our sales rep was very kind and helped us to determine how to best keep costs in line, and the guys that helped us load our truck were careful and analyzed the load so as to allow us to make just one trip. I will definitely utilize their service again!

I am pleased with Midway Party Rental. They called me an hour ahead of time before delivering the tables, so I didn't have to take unnecessary time off of work. They delivered two banquet tables and covers to my address. The tables were much longer than I expected, so I really could put them to good use. When it came time to pick up the tables, I just left the porch door open and they picked them up. From looking at the bill, it appears that renting the tables is inexpensive. Most of the cost is in the pickup and delivery, which was about $70. But, I didn't have a way to pick up the items, so I was happy to pay it. The tables were also heavy, so I didn't have to worry about them blowing over in the wind. They really try to work with you to meet your needs.

Delivery and pick up were both handled poorly - instructions to call us prior to arrival were ignored. Staff did not seem to care too much and provided inaccurate information on several items. Upon arrival one of the items was not correct, but we did not want to deal with the hassle of exchange (based on delivery experience). My voicemail regarding delivery (left during business hours) was ignored, and when I tried to call the office to reach a live person to make sure they could reach the driver to avoid problems with pickup, I was put on hold a lengthy time and finally gave up.

It was easy to order the stuff and they delivered it. Everything was just as they said that it would be.

Every time I dealt with the sales rep. every thing went fine. However, on the day we picked up our items, they forgot to give us several things, as well as a microphone and speaker that didn't actually work together. They had an emergency phone number, but we didn't realize the problems until 20 minutes before the wedding. Upon returning the equipment, the sales rep. was very understanding and helpful, but the warehouse guys were very aggressive, condescending, and accusatory. They obviously didn't know what was leaving their warehouse...and implied that I was the problem by loosing/breaking/stealing their equipment. It took awhile to get a refund from management...but I'd gladly trade that to have had a working microphone for my wedding.

The person who helped take the order was prompt, friendly, helpful, professional. We opted for the 12-hour delivery / pick-up window. The drivers called a half-hour before they arrived. The items were delivered in perfect shape. The delivery folks were efficient and friendly. The guys working pick-up were less professional (e.g. taking a somewhat lengthy personal cell-phone call while we were inventory the items to be returned.) We were so pleased with the many options they offer, the website where you can see things, the overall good service. We will use them again!!

The party went well. All of the stuff was delivered on time and picked up the following Monday. There was a problem where they were not going to be able to deliver on Friday as contracted because of a large party they were doing elsewhere (the party was on Saturday). They wanted to come set up during the day on Thursday, but this would not work for me. I told them they could come in the evening on Thursday. They never did show up on Thursday, and never called. They did come on Friday and everything worked out.

Both the phone representative and I failed to realize that my pick-up date was on a holiday, so when I got there it was closed. However, the people in the office were more than happy to open up the warehouse and help me with my order.

I shopped around and found that Midway had the best prices. All of the items were in excellent condition and well packaged. They have an extensive range of colors/styles available as well. They dropped off and picked up my items while I was at work, making it very convenient. I have used Midway for two parties now and I wouldn't rent from anywhere else.

I COMPARED PRICES AT A FEW RENTAL PLACES AND MIDWAY'S PRICES WERE THE BEST. THE EQUIPMENT WAS IN GREAT SHAPE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THAT THE DELIVERY WAS SUPPOSED TO OCCUR BEFORE 5 P.M. (THE NIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT) BUT THE TRUCK DIDN'T SHOW UP UNTIL AFTER 8 P.M. (ON A VERY BUSY WEEKEND IN JUNE FOR THEM).
