This is a great company to work with. We called for an estimate and they came out at our convenience. The estimate was very quick. The gal was very professional and understood exactly what we were looking for in the cleaning. When the team of 2 came to the house, they were on time, smiling and very pleasant. They went straight to work and the whole house; livingroom, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, family room were all dusted, cleaned, vacuumed. The kitchen never looked so shiny. We will continue to use this company and will recommend to everyone.

Cleaning went fabulously! I had my whole home done in preparation for my husband’s big 30th b-day. All three of my bath rooms were cleaned from top to bottom which is a feat since I have tiled shower, tiled counter top and tile floors. My formal living room, dining room and family room were dusted and vacuumed. It was so nice to have carpet lines without having to do the vacuuming. The kitchen was spotless and counters were cleaner than they ever have been. I have tile counter and it seems like no matter how I clean them there are still crumbs in the grout. This was not the case with Maid for a Day my counters were spotless, no crumbs in sight (not even in the grout lines).

They provided top notch service. I have a cat and dog and sometimes the animal fur can get away from us. They came through and di top to bottom cleaning. My furniture was vac, my baseboards dusted, ceiling fans cleaned, just a wonderul service. My bathrooms were cleaned in a way that I have always wanted. They did not come in using heavy chemical products that left a lingering scent, but rather the bathrooms were cleaned and I was not left with a heavy bleach scent. The kitchen was cleaned from top to bottom. All of the cabinets were cleaned wonderfully and they looked great. Overall this service is what I was looking for and what I had hoped for. Many other services promise to deliver and then I am let down. With Maid For A Day House Cleaning, I was given everything I promised and them some.

We have been very busy with the start of school, work events, etc. We had Carolyn come out and give an estimate. She arrived on time and was very professional. She asked many questions about our house and our wants and expectations. We set a cleaning date and the crew arrived on time and went straight to work. They took care of everything that Carolyn went through with us. This is a very professional company to work with. They do a great job, with no surprises. They are in our phone directory and we will be using their services again. We are recommending their services to the neighbors who have been looking for a good cleaning service, this is definately it.

Carolyn came out and did the estimate. She arrived on time and was very professional. She asked questions about my house and needs and about any paraticular thinigs I wanted done. We set up a cleaning day and the crew arrived and went straight to work. I found this company to be very professional and a pleasure to work with. I was so pleased with their work that I am having them come out twice a month, indefinately.

I've been so thrilled with Maid For A Day Housecleaning, that I just had to write on Angie's List! My cleaning team is always punctual, enthusiastic and friendly! I've had such a tough time trying to clean my ceramic shower on my own, but they did the job! When I return, my home does NOT smell of harsh chemicals - just clean, fresh and shiney clean. What a relief - stress free and relaxing! I would highly recommend Maid For A Day to anyone!!

This company is inexpensive, and it's a classic example of, "You get what you pay for." The night before the scheduled cleaning with an arrival time of 9:00 a.m., I received a phone call asking if they could reschedule to 1:00 p.m. I agreed and the team of two arrived at 1:00 and left at 3:15. I could go on and on, but here are a few examples of their non-existent or poor cleaning: in the kitchen, handles to dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer were not as much as wiped with a damp cloth; kitchen table top not clean; tea drops left on kitchen counter (which I wiped off the next day with a damp cloth); floor not cleaned in a number of spots; drips down several cabinet fronts not wiped away; in the master bath, the inside of the shower doors were not cleaned at all; other rooms in the house--ceramic sink in laundry not cleaned, counters and washer and dryer not wiped down, two wastebaskets not emptied, glass table tops very streaked, two different areas of ceramic tile flooring not cleaned. I spent three hours cleaning my house today, expecting a call from one of the owners of Maid For A Day. When no one called, I called them, and was treated with extreme defensiveness and given directions on how I should have communicated with the less-than-stellar cleaning team so that I could have had a better experience. I was even told that I should have called earlier in the morning so that one of the owners could have come over to talk with me and "verify" (that was the word she actually used!) the lapses in cleaning. How could I have done that? I was cleaning my house. Others on this site have commented negatively about the management of this company and I agree with their criticism. The owners seem to be of the opinion that it is the customer's job to instruct their employees on how to do their work, and that I somehow am responsible for remedying what goes wrong with their employees' work. I note the same defensiveness in Maid For A Day's responses to criticism on this site, and I fully expect to be lambasted for having the temerity to write such a review of their company. I told the woman on the phone today that I would not be paying for yesterday's work, and of course the response was that she was just going to tell me that they weren't going to charge me. I've had cleaning help for very many years, and have never seen such poor work or dealt with such an unprofessional company.

They were scheduled to arrive at 2:30pm. They actually arrived at 1:30 pm! They did not attempt to contact me about their change of the appointment time. They simply stated that they finished their previous appointment early. The bed linens were still in the washer. They said they would put them on the bed if they were still here when the were dried. If they had come at the correct time, they would have been dried. In order to assure that they would be dry, I had to separate my wash load and dry them alone. I realize this sounds petty but I am an older woman with limited mobility. Going up and down stairs is uncomfortable for me. I did not appreciate having to make an unnecessary trip and having to do 2 separate dryer loads because of their early arrival. Although their work was satisfactory I would not use them again. I'd never know when to expect them!!

I contacted them for an estimate for their services. The lady came on time and was very professional. Some of the tasks I wanted performed, her company did not provide. She very generously gave me the name and phone number of a different company that she knew could provide the services I wanted. I was very impressed with this. I wish we could have created a contract.

We used Maid For A Day for several weeks this winter while I was recovering from an injury. We were very happy with the their work. They were very professional and on schedule. It was nice to come home to a clean house.

I was very impressed with the service Maid For A Day performed. In the past, I have helped my mother clean her house, but this year I did not have much time. My brother recommended that I give Maid For A Day a call. I did and I was very satisfied with the customer service they provided and the final result of having a clean home for our family celebration. I will definetely use Maid For A Day again!

Everything went smoothly and wonderfully. As I said I have never had a cleaning service clean for me before, but I am very pleased with the results and it is nice to have a fresh start before the busy and hectic holidays. The employees in the office were extremely friendly. I spoke with Carolyn and she was very responsive. They were also accommodating with my schedule which can be very busy at times. They did an overall excellent job. This will reduce a lot of the stress for me with the upcoming holidays.

I like to shop around and get the best price and I was able to do that with this company. I was able to get all my questions and concerns answered. All my phone calls were returned by either Holly or Carolyn Maset. They were really friendly and made you feel at ease. I had no issues with the cleaning and loved the outcome. I will continue to use them!

My experience with Maid For A Day House Cleaning was great from start to finish. From the moment I called the office and they answered all my questions. The office was not judgemental at all when I told them the house was in need of some good scrubbing. When the person came to do the estimate she was very professional about the cleaning that needed to be done. I was worried because we still had boxes in the house and she was able to look past that and see the empty house. When the team arrived for cleaning they came right in and went straight to work. There was not a single word said about the condition of my house, just another day for the cleaners. The amount of work that they did in the 2 1/2 hours they were here would have taken me and my roommates all day to do. They were polite, courtesous and most of all efficient in the work that they did. I would highly reccomend using Maid For A Day for any and all your needs.

The management of Maid for a Day is very responsive - when I leave a message, I always hear back within an hour or two and am usually able to schedule an appointment within several days. The team (of two) has never been late in the 3 years that we have utilized Maid for a Day - in fact, they are often early. I like that it is the same team almost every time - I feel more comfortable if I can't be in the house the whole time that they are cleaning. The team is very professional checking in to see if there are any changes to the cleaning plan (that is initially set up with management when they walk through your house). This is one of the reasons that I prefer this company over several others that I tried prior. With previous companies, some cleaners would show up in their bikini under a tank top or hurrying through the cleaning at a speed that did not leave acceptable cleanliness. With Maid for a Day I get consistent results in a professional manner. The team is efficient and gets the job done to my liking.

They were great! They are pretty available for scheduling, and I’m usually able to get an appointment within a week of calling them.

I pay them every time they come out. They offered discounts on the first two visits, so I have had the discounted rate and that was approximately $95. My ongoing price I believe is going to be about $125. I think that they are thorough, efficient and they tackle the big jobs. They are very friendly, professional, and timely and just very focused on getting the work done.

Their service was horrendous. They broke my shower head and they keep calling me back asking me why I don’t use their services. They did replace it, but I wasn’t happy. She said that they would charge a certain rate and they would come back three times at least, but they only worked once. The shower head wasn’t mine, but it belonged to my landlady. She didn’t say that she was sorry for what happened. I didn’t like that at all. I paid $100 for the job done by them. She didn’t respond correctly to the situation. The way she handled it was not okay. They came when they said they were going to come. I wouldn’t use their services again because they ripped the shower head off the wall.

The initial visit, estimate and first cleaning were excellent. I requested every other Friday and was told I would get a call and/or e-mail with a confirmation of this. This was 10/27/10. I did NOT get confirmation of the next scheduled cleaning, so I called, more than once, to clarify. When I did hear from the company, the cleaning had NOT been scheduled, but they said they would send someone to clean, which they did. I was assured that I would get a schedule soon. I never got a schedule. The next few weeks I kept calling, trying to get a schedule so I could make plans and the responses I got were vague at best. I finally got a call and was able to confirm that cleaning were scheduled for 12/10/10, 12/22/10 and 1/7/11. On 12/22/10, no one showed up. Two people came on 12/23/10 at 12:30pm and said they were there to clean the house. When I said that I had expected them on the 22nd, they said they just showed up where and when they were told. They cleaned. They did an adequate job, but spent only a little over an hour on the cleaning. They also broke something. I have stopped doing business with this company. With the exception of the first two cleanings, the service was only adequate. I had significant difficult getting a cleaning scheduled, getting a response to my phone calls, and feeling like I could count on the company to do what they said they would do. If there was a rotation that began in November, I didn't hear about it. I got the confirmation of every other Friday in early December IN RESPONSE TO my call. The discussion of a regular schedule did not occur until then. We did discuss not being able to schedule a cleaning for Christmas Eve, which was fine, but clearly our dates were not the same. The first team, a husband and wife, did an excellent job, as I have already mentioned. The other teams were not as good. I did not appreciate the change in teams. I'm sorry that this arrangement did not work. I disagree with the provider response. I believe that their actual cleaning services range from adequate to excellent, but also believe that this company would benefit from improving their communication skills.

The two girls arrived ontime and we walked through the house and I covered a few things that I wanted. I was able to work while they cleaned. . The girls were very nice and accomodating to my requests. I only noticed a few things that could have been better - the vacuuming on the stairs and the stainless steel appliances were still streaky, which I noticed after they left. But, I have no doubt they would clean it better the next time. Overall the cleaning they did was well done and would recommend them and plan to use again in the future.

I know many Angie's list users have great things to say about this company, but my wife and I had a disappointing experience. We called them for an estimate, and they came out quickly to give one. We then called to start service, and eventually they called us back (we got their answering machine every time). They came out to clean our 3100 sq ft home for a "deep cleaning" and two people spent approximately 90 minutes in our house. They asked for payment and said that someone would call us to schedule our next appointment. The cleaning left something to be desired, and no one called to ask about our experience. Surprisingly, no one called to schedule a second appointment. However, after leaving our initial review on Angie's List, someone did call offering to refund our payment for the cleaning, which is a very upstanding thing to do.

They are very thorough and pleasant. They listen to my directions. If I ask them to use a certain product, they will without any problems. They show up within the hour they are supposed to be here since we like them to come in the afternoon. They are cleaning other houses prior to coming to us.

Not only did a different team appear each month (April, May & June) but the quality of work declined. I found several chores poorly done or skipped altogether. The teams were in and out so quickly that they could not have possibly performed adequately. Plus, they did not even remove their street shoes on the porch, but walked right onto my light-colored living room carpet. I discussed the situation with Holly Maset. At this point, I was feeling resentful toward the team individuals involved. I asked Holly not to send these same individuals any more, and to let me know as soon as she could accommodate me with a fresh team. That was last June. Early in September, I phoned Holly to let her know I was still interested in their services and find out if she could accommodate me with a fresh team. Several weeks later I left a voice message for Holly but, so far, I have not heard back from this service. I suspect they are not interested in my business an I have decided to seek help elsewhere.

I have used this company a number of times over the past year. I am always pleased with their work. They are responsive, reliable, consistent easy to work with and thorough.

Very well. I would definitely recommend the service. I am not accustomed to paying for this type of help, so it seemed expensive to me, where in reality it is probably very reasonable.
