The Plumber was nice and did a nice job, but the estimate for just a clogged bathroom sink was $75-$150, when the plumber got here he said $300. Much more than anticipated. He ended up giving us $50 off for "new customer" discount when I complained about the high price for such a small job.

From scheduling to the guys sent, it was professional to the t. they diagnosed the problem with my boiler and my furnace condenser issue. I highly recommend them!

Brandon the tech identified the issue and presented us with 2 options. Brandon was educating me as he diagnosed the AC, I learned that very soon I would not be able to even recharge my system as the R22 refrigerant will no longer be used by law enacted by EPA. I was impressed by his environmental concerns. We decided against a band aid fix, so my wife met with Sean Traynor who again discussed 3 packages that we can consider as we replace this 17 yr. old system.

Hero staff were professional and friendly

They called me within minutes of sending my info to HomeAdvisor, they came out the next day (today). I was sent a picture of the technician prior to coming to my home so I knew who to expect. The technician was great! He was very knowledgeable, and thorough. I highly recommend using them.

Chad confirmed our scheduled appointment in advanced, he arrived on time and was extremely professional. He explained in detail what needed to be done and gave me an estimate for the work. I would definitely call on Chad again.

I felt like Tony, who worked with me on pricing, was very honest and listened to my needs. The city inspector did say he felt the heat gain/loss report wasn't accurate.

We had HERO when it was Uptown. We were in a jam/time crunch from moving. They did our job but we felt it was way over priced. We called recently, not knowing that HERO was Uptown. The whole procedure of getting a quote was way over-complicated with all kinds of confusing options, coupons, special offers.... Plus the quote was again high we thought. We found another plumber for about 2/3 the cost, very straightforward, simple. Free estimate on the phone as well.

They promised to give me a small discount; after I called them about the discount repeatedly. they are too dilatory with their discount AFTER THEY FINISHED THE WORK FOR ME...and kept telling me the discount check is on the way LOL

I had them come to fix a clogged sink/garbage disposal and to fix the slow drain in my bath tub. They came on time, and called prior to coming which was great. They gave me an estimate and I accepted, for $400.00 to repair both, I've never hired a plumber before and had assumed they would have to take all of my drains apart and the work would take 2-3 hours. He was in the house, working for all of 20 minutes. While I appreciate the work and the worker was very pleasant, I thought the price was extremely high. I feel taken advantage and will not be hiring them again. Lesson learned!! I now understand why they do not give an estimate over the phone.

I was not provided with a copy of the bill until I called in to get one and they emailed it to me. When seeing the bill it is not itemized, so you don't know what you are being charged for what part of the service. I was told to diagnose my AC unit it would be $69 diagnostic fee which would be applied to any repair I do, sounded great! Then the technician had to replace fuses to test my system because my fuses were bad and they blew again while he was diagnosing, my final bill for the diagnostic was $147 and that was with a $57 coupon, so how much did they charge me for fuses...no idea because their bill isn't itemized. I found out after the fact that fuses are only about $10 and they charged over $100. I called to inquire about the charge for the fuses, but I will never know because they don't itemize their bill and if you call they will not tell you line by line charges. Very bad business practice, very disappointed and they said my compressor is bad and system needs to be replaced, I don't even think I can trust their diagnosis now and their estimate for a new system was extremely high. I will not do business with them again, they are too "big business".

Plumber was efficient, replaced the water softener and checked the faucets around the house to clear them. Very pleasant to work with.

Arrived on time. Did a very thorough inspection of our water heater. Explained findings and answered my questions. Presented options.

Everything about Hero met and exceeded my expectations; from quality of work to my interaction with those who were working on the project.

The work was completed very well, they arrived on time and were very polite. The price seemed to be high and we had to wait for a water heater to be delivered and for the installers. So in all 4 different employees were here for a good part of the day. They email you ahead of time pictures & information about who is coming to your house which is nice as that way you can easily recognize who is at your front door.

What they did was fine in servicing my water heater, but tried to sell me a new one for $1900. I found a different company on HomeAdvisor for less than half the price.
