We have NO complaints. I thought I would try to offset the one negative review found here. As a member of the board for 6 years here - there are some occasions where no one will be pleased with the outcome. We would also have asked the party to remove their bird houses. But . . . we would have been a bit more polite about it. AND - you should be aware that the board likely set up the "no questions" rule- not CD. But . . be that as it may. We have dealt with property encroachments where we threatened foreclosure and legal action with a better outcome than the one described there.
I am here looking at all of these companies to determine whether we want to pursue other options. Based on the information here - I think we are fortunate and will likely stay with Community Development for the long term. There are OTHER options out there - but I do not want to run the risk of the service levels described here.
We recently changed managers, and we were a bit bent about that as the manager we had was just stellar. We had worked with her to get a solid working relationship. She was assigned to another group of properties that they deemed "more difficult" than ours. Understandable, but still disappointing for us.
The new manager assigned is very capable, and I am comfortable we will be able to work well with her. There were some problems in the transition. We had worked out details on the reporting and work assignments, that were not communicate to our new manager. As we have discovered those, we have ironed them out.
It is my recommendation to the management of CD that they formalize their hand off procedure and make sure that things do not fall through the cracks in this way. And it would please me no end that this review and recommendation is communicated to the company in question. Thank you, Angie's List!
