Colonial stone was wonderful to work with, the owner worked with me to find just the right stone to blend with the brick on the front of my house. The workers were "artists". They were always on time, they cleaned the area daily, were very professional and made my vision a reality. This company gets my highest recommendation. I would use them again absolutely!!!

We asked Colonial Stone to come and give an estimate for replacing concrete walks around our house. The estimator arrived on time, listened to our requests for bids for bluestone as well as concrete pavers. We asked that he chunk the project into three parts: front walk from the public sidewalk to the side gate on our property; from the side gate to the back door; and from the back door to the garage. He delivered the estimates precisely as we requested -- and delivered a very competitive bid. He also provided a referral for poured concrete -- if we wanted to go that route. But for the fact that our budget for the project suddenly shrank (and old furnace needs replacing and is a higher priority) and we had second thoughts about using bluestone (we're thinking it may be too fancy for our house and that concrete would be more appropriate), we would have used Colonial. We're still thinking of using bluestone for a backyard patio -- and will definitely call Colonial when we get to that project.

The whole experience was great. Steve gave me lots of ideas about what type of stone would look good, and we ended up following his suggestion, which was a combination of blue stone and another type of stone for contrast. He also saved me money by letting me know that I really didn't need concrete poured on the pad of the step; instead, they laid crushed rock underneath the blue stone, which will keep it from cracking. Our front step looks wonderful. I also had Colonial Stone repair one stone that was damaged by a errant dumpster. They came out immediately and fixed it immediately. Very nice. I also loved the fact that Colonial Stone's price was considerably less than the estimates I received from two other contractors, and Steve's solution was much more creative and attractive.

It was spectacularly good. They were on time and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. There was excellent quality in what they did.

They were very responsive and helpful from the beginning to end, very good company to work with in all aspects. They did a great job making suggestions for design options. Very good job cleaning up afterward. Their finished product is top notch! My new patio is much more attractive and functional than the former deck.

Great. Met with Steve West the owner, very nice man. I explained what our issues were, drainage/re-grade and possible patio. He explained how the retaining walls would be built, and we talked about the stone options. I felt confident with the answers he provided on drainage. Also looking through the photos of their work, I could tell it would look beautiful. He took time to measure everything out for precision on the estimate.

Everyone was wonderful to work with! Steve was out everyday to check on progress and Nick and Tim were both very professional and friendly. They had great ideas for changes. Our previous wall had almost all sand underneath it requiring about 3 times the gravel fill as originally estimated. Steve was diligent about getting us a quote for the additional cost, and when it went over that cost he stuck to his word and charged only what he had quoted. Tom was able to add some cedar siding to our house to cover an area that was left bare by changing the wall design. They did an excellent job cleaning up at the end of the job.

Steve returned my initial call with in 24 hours. He showed up on time for all appointments, and explained verbally and in our contract what work his company would provide. When the project was completed we were instructed to be careful of the patio edges for a couple of days. After several days my husband was walking near the edge of the patio, and one of the stones came loose. We called Steve, he said that that was not normal told us how he would fix the problem and did so within two days. We were both very happy with the results and look forward to enjoying our new patio.
