VIKING BLINDS

BUYER BEWARE - My entire experience with Viking Blinds has been extremely horrible. Once the blinds were installed, I immediately saw defects which should have been vetted during the inspection process. The reorder and reinstall of the blinds took another month and a half. Viking blinds then sent four foot wooden slates to replace a 36 inch window, which was measured twice by the same manager. After all of this I decided to reach out to the owner hoping that he would be able to resolve the issues. WRONG... He was completely rude, belligerent and unprofessional. I have decided to take my concerns to the Attorney General's Office.

Poor measuring; many had to be resized, poor installation requiring fixing binding draperies which still do not work properly, skimping on drapery material so they don't fall correctly. Wooden blinds included multiple stain colors in same window covering as well as the slats being cut in differing size. Many items were subsequently corrected but we are left with binding draperies in our bedroom, sliding glass door blinds on non-sliding windows (pull to one side only), and the problem of replacing living room draperies which Viking could not fix. The only reason I wrote this is because I was looking on Angies list for a suitable company to fix the issues and was surprised to see that Viking Blinds in Maple Grove was rated an A.

My experience with Robin was a treat! She was responsive to my inquiry and we promptly set a time for her to come to my home. Robin listened to my concerns & desires and carefully helped me select window treatments for every room. She helped me work within my budget and made several trips back to my home to make sure everything was perfect. She's got a great selection of Hunter Douglas products and even notified me of an applicable rebate (who does that??!!? Love it.) Robin was the perfect mix of interested to help & responsive, yet not at all pushy. After we decided to proceed with the order, a separate person came out for an additional measurement and then to install all the draperies approximately 3 weeks after ordering. Robin is knowledgeable and has a passion for her work. It really shows in her professionalism and attention to detail. I'm so happy with my purchase. Thank you Robin for everything, you are a gem!

They were fairly reasonable. Blinds aren’t cheap but they were reasonable. They came in and put them up real good. There was one little thing that they had forgotten and the lady that runs the place came back and fixed that later on. They did a good job. I guess they could improve upon their counting. They didn’t count the right brackets. The guy that came out tried to put it up, was missing a bracket on our patio door and so he couldn’t do it. The lady who runs the place came out later on and she put the bracket on for us. So it was okay. The price wasn’t cheap but it was okay. The blinds were nice. They did a good job and they came out with a good product. They did a fine job. They were quick and neat. They cleaned up after themselves. They took all the boxes and stuff with them. So they did a good job. I would use their services again in the future.

I thought their service was great. In fact, we were moving into a new home and did not have window treatments on any windows, he had pointed out a stash of window blinds and he mentioned I should go through those to see if they would work. They did and he saved us a bit of money.

Carlye came out to my house with samples, quickly narrowed down some choices that would work and provided thoughtful input to help me make a decision. The blinds were ready in 2 1/2 weeks. Steve, from TCI, did the installation in less than an hour. The blinds are beautiful. They perfectly finish out the new four season room we built last year. I couldn't be happier with the blinds or with the service I got from Carlye and Steve.
