I spoke with the provider, he got right back to me to set up the appointment. I have damage that I know I needed to have repaired, however they do not do repairs themselves. I would have to have another inspection in the spring when the repairs would be done. I was not interested in doing this so I chose to cancel the deal.

We needed our ducts cleaned out since it had been a while. After cleaning the ducts we reviewed the furnace state with the technician and agreed to also clean the furnace area. Overall very satisfied with the professionalism and work performed and will use again in the future.

ow I thought the level of professionalism was low with TC Furnace and they were just taking the opportunity of getting on Angie's List to push other costly services. They never did inspect the system because the tech couldn't get it running. I hope you take them off your list of recommended providers.
Description of Work: The tech from TC Furnace Cleaning saw our boiler called it a "beast" and said we should think seriously about getting a new one (ours is 19 years old and has been running fine) we just wanted to get it inspected and cleaned for winter. He talked me into getting the flue cleaned and somewhere in that process the electrical connections went awry because he was unable to get the boiler working again. He checked the connections and the circuit-breakers and couldn't find the problem. He made some calls and said one of the owners would be contacting us. When I got ahold of Dain (sp?) a couple hours later he said, "Well what do you want me to do about it?" This floored me and I said, "Well, don't you stand behind your product?" He then claimed that people tried to scam the company all the time. He eventually said that we were on our own and should get someone else to find out what the problem is. I got the Snelling Co. to come look at the boiler the next day and Dave, the tech for them, said that it was in the circuit-breakers; you have to individually click the newer ones back and forth, you can't just look for the colored strip like you can in the old ones. Anyway I'm sending the bill for $89 to TC Furnace Cleaning but have little hope they will reimburse me.

We are sorry to hear about this review. Unfortunately, for one reason or another the boiler wouldn't work after we were done cleaning it. As far as the furnace flue is concerned, we don't talk anyone into anything, rather we make recommendations on certain things that we believe our customers could benefit from, in fact, you should have your furnace flue cleaned from time to time. I also believe you took what I said out of context. I said "What would you like me to do?" which I feel was a fair response. I also said we stand behind our work, but we are not a repair company. I don't know if the boiler was working before we got out there and yes, from time to time we have customers that will try to blame our company for things completely unrelated to our services. Nevertheless, I have absolutely no problem re-reimbursing you for a repair company to come out for a service call even though I'm not convinced our technician had anything to do with causing the problem.

I thought my vent was plugged but found it was actually disconnected. I reconnected the duct work and the pipes were clean. I don't need a vent cleaning at this time. I asked Dane at Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning if I could get a refund and he said to contact you. He was very understanding and I would purchase from them in the future.

After showing us how dirty our ducts were we upgraded the service to a better cleaning. The reps were very quick, efficient and polite. They also included a free dryer vent cleaning and sanitizerwith the upgrade. All was over in about an hour.

When I called this morning to schedule, they informed me that they do not perform any repairs. They only clean and inspect furnaces and we are in need of repairs as our furnace has stopped blowing hot air. I have contacted Angie's List in order to get a refund of the Big Deal purchase.

Overall, the service went as expected. The provider showed up 1.5 hours early due to another canceled appointment and fortunately I was home. Not a lot of detail was given about what they were doing, and overall it seemed to go faster than expected.

They were fast, efficient and did an excellent job. Even with two dogs and a three year old, they weren't much of an intrusion. They even took the time to walk me through what they were doing, and show me how dirty the air ducts of the new home I purchased actually were, as well as making suggestions regarding furnace replacement in the future. I would definitely use them again! Especially with the coupon!

It went great! They actually arrived earlier than scheduled which was great. Ben was the Lead HVAC Techncian that handled the cleaning and inspection. He did have a colleague with him that assisted as well that was nice too. Ben was very courteous and polite. It didn't take him long to complete everything (maybe 25 minutes) and he was very willing to answer questions. He did a great job explaining what was wrong with the igniter and he had the correct replacement part on hand so he was able to take care of it right away for us. I would definitely recommend Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning to anyone.
