Showed up on time. Made pretty quick work of things. Kept things clean. Only problem was that he did not reconnect our drier vent correctly, and it fell off. Easy fix so no big deal.

I think it went really well, the man that came was very friendly and we chatted quite a bit. He removed alot of cresote from both our chimneys. He also cleaned our air ducts, but I didn't see a whole lot of stuff in his vacuum so I don't really know how effective the job was. But I'm willing to bet they are pretty clean, he seemed to know what he was doing.

It was great. The guy that helped was very knowledgeable and friendly. He provided some advice so I know how to maintain it in the future. My damper wasn't closing properly, and he fixed that for free. My only complaint would be that I presumed it came it with a cleaning of the fireplace, which it did not.

It turned out fine. They gave us a deal when they clean the vents. They were concerned about how well they did. They were cautious about protecting the space and they were just really respectful.

We needed a number of things taken care of in our older home. Jim was friendly, professional, punctual, and effective in his work. I was especially pleased to note that although this company provides other services/repairs, I was charged the exact amount quoted and Jim indicated that everything was in good working order when he completed the job and did not suggest additional repairs/work to be done. We considered the price to be very reasonable, as the last time we had our ducts cleaned by Sears it was over $300 just for that service - this company checked our furnace, cleaned the dryer vent, cleaned the air ducts and swept three chimneys for $441. The fireplaces, which had not been cleaned in at least a decade, were spotless when he was done and Jim managed to do this leaving no mess at all. Would definitely recommend this company and would use in the future. Also, the company owner called shortly afterward to make sure we were satisfied with the service, and we appreciated that detail.

I was incredibly happy. The guy who was going to do the work called well in advance of the time he was going to arrive to say he was running late because he had more business to do than he could, but he'd still be there and, in fact, he'd be there in about 25 minutes. 25 minutes later he called me and said he was sorry because he'd been caught in a traffic jam in Bloomington. He said he was still coming and asked if I still wanted him to, or if I wanted to reschedule. I told him to come. He did, and in an hour and ten minutes he did a fabulous job. He was very knowledgeable, he left the place very clean and did a good job of inspecting, from my standpoint. He showed me what he was doing and gave me some advice on how to build a better fire and gave me some advice on how to keep the draft working better.

He was on-time, efficient, friendly and professional. We will hire him again.

The technician had car problems that morning, and he promptly called us to say that he would not be able to make the 8-10 am window he had given us - that he would be there somewhat later - he showed up at 10:30 and got the job done. I did not interact with him, but my wife said that he was pleasant to work with, and did a good job..

They were supposed to come a particular day so I left work early to get home and then at the last minute they called and mentioned they couldn't come because they were on the opposite side of the cities. They blamed it on a scheduling conflict. This ticked me off as I left work early to get home for when they arrived. After I paid, they called back the next day and they didn't include the right sales tax so they called and wanted me to pay $6.40 via my visa! Now that's poor customer service. The guy that did the work was actually pretty good but the scheduling and sales tax issue was very tacky.

After scheduling once and having that appointment cancelled by the provider, we were able to set up another time. Provider was 1/2 hour late for the rescheduled appointment. He cleaned the chimney from inside the house, and seemed to do a decent job and cleaned up well. I couldn't tell if there was an inspection of the exterior chimney or caps, but I know he did not go up on a ladder. He might have walked around the house when I didn't see, but I'm not sure how comprehensive an inspection could be if it's from the ground while the chimney is above the 2nd story on the house. On the plus side, we were signed up for a furnace inspection (we have a boiler), and we fired it up and he said it sounded good, so there was no charge for that. Thanks! All that being said, I would use TC Furnance again.

Used a specialized tool to scrub the interior walls of my stainless steel liner. The amount of creosote he was able to extract was impressive. He also entertained me with tales of bear hunting and family strife.

On time, clean, informative and friendly. No sales push.

We purchased the $89.00 chimney cleaning service and on the same day we purchased it we received a call to set up an appointment for the cleaning. The gentleman who did our cleaning, James Mayer, did a fine job, gave us some useful maintenance tips, and we were quite satisfied with the service.

They came out to clean our chimney, but saw that it was already clean. However it needs a cap and a damper. The owner said we could use the $89 we paid towards the cap, but they don't install dampers. We contacted another company through Angie's List to get an estimate on a damper. It turns out that because our home is so old there is no way to get a damper to put in so we need to go with a cap and damper combo. I contacted the owner of Twin Cities Furnace, Dane, and asked if that was something they could do. He said they can't, so we canceled the appointment with him and he said we should contact you for a refund of the $89 we paid for the cleaning.

They did a Chimney sweep for us as well as a dryer vent cleaning. Gave me a couple of tips to use on the fireplace. They did a great job for us.

They did a great job, they were on time, and they were very clean. I was happy with their deal and I would use them again. They even helped me with another issue I was having with my chimney.

It was a little difficult to find a time that I would be home and the rep could come out, but once we decided on that, it went great!! The gentleman who came out was very nice and cleaned up after himself.

I had Twin City Furnace come out to clean my chimney, airducts and dryer vent. Jim arrived and explained what he was going to be doing and went right to work. Within the first 10 minutes he told me that the air filter in my furnace wasn't properly inserted. He told me wanted to get it back in place and suggested holding off on the duct cleaning as maybe this was causing dust problems. I was impressed with his honesty and his suggestion. He went ahead and performed the service on the chimney and dryer. When he was finished, he reviewed what he had done and asked me again to watch the dust levels in my house. If I wanted them to come back in the next week or so, they would honor the special price they had quoted me on the phone. I am extremely impressed with their timeliness, speed of work and integrity of their service. Two thumbs up!

We had a groupon for this company's services. When I set up the appointment I wasn't sure what we would need as far as cleaning our duct work. The person scheduling said we could decide when the cleaners got here since they would need to evaluate our system. Since we cannot see the inside or our vents, I can't say for sure if they are totally cleaned out but we did hear a lot of junk going through the tubing out to the truck so I'm hopeful that most of the dust and debris was cleaned out. They were on time, professional and explained what they were doing. They asked several times if we had questions and before they left they made sure we were satisfied with the service.

I purchased the service through a Living Social deal. Scheduling was easy and Jim was wonderful. The service provider Jim was very personable and did a great job cleaning my chimney and telling me what to watch out for in the future. The grate was also vacuumed and there was no mess in the house when he left. I was a little surprised that I was asked to pay an additional $6.80 for tax though. Not a large amount certainly but I have never been asked to pay tax on any service in addition to the contracted rate.

What a great experience. I received a call from Dane, the owner within 24 hours of my inquiry. He scheduled our appointment for today, one of the only days I am available this month. He squeezed me into an already busy day as he stated this is the start of his busy season. Jim, who swept our chimney arrived after calling to let me know the approximate time of arrival (which was well within the two hour window). He was the best! He was kind, professional, and efficient. He mentioned that we had a broken damper and that he would talk with his boss to about what my options were. He also told me about a chimney cap that we should consider and why it would be a good idea to get one. Made perfect sense to me. I was in the other room engaged in paperwork, but would hear Jim pleasantly whistling or humming while he worked. The poor guy was pretty black from soot as I admit, our fireplace hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. I was surprised when I saw his van leave the driveway, but he called and clarified that his boss would be calling me to collect the sales tax on the project and didn't want to take the chance of tracking the soot into our home. This was fantastic service from beginning to end! I'd recommend Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning to anyone. I will be holding on to your number for another cleaning in two more years. The gentleman who came to sweep the chimney, came on time, explained everything he would do and did the work in a timely manner. He cleaned up the fireplace nicely and I was happy to see there was no mess left in our living room. My only complaint is that I paid for the service ahead of time through Angie's List, as it was a special deal, but the owner did not include the tax. So I had to go through the extra step of paying them the tax over the phone. That was irritating. Better planning by the owner would be my recommendation for future customers.
