We liked everything about their service. We particularly liked the owner who actually came and did the work with his son. Another day he brought a worker with him who was very personable, very knowledgeable, did exactly what he says he's going to do and explain things every step of the way. Really stayed on schedule and he's just a craftsman. We were really impressed and I'm ashamed that I haven't written anything up but I have stayed in touch with him because he is going to be doing some more work for us.
Description of Work: I used their service last year starting up in September and finishing up in October. We had a sidewalk put in. We also had a mailbox built, 2 support pillars, and a back stoop.

Member, Well, Well...How sweet to receive your report. Thank You! There are many times that Levi and I will think of your wonderful donut holes and treats that went along perfectly with your Alde's German blend coffee. We have yet to have morning snacks that match up to yours! I hope I didn't drop the ball on your next project....garage floor and driveway. You know I would come out to your neck of the woods , as long as your plate is full of treats and coffee pot is steaming with the German aroma. Till Than....I hope, John Lecy

Member, Thanks for the review you left for Cornerstone Concrete! It was a pleasure working with you and your bride. More so, it's amazing the connections we make along lives path and the "small world" stories we are all apart of on this Earth. For that, your patio project became a little more sweeter. Hope you have enjoyed sitting on your patio and watching nature come to life on the river. Take Care! John Lecy

As we had a water leak coming through the front stoop, we need that stoop to be sealed. Decided to replace sidewalk & side stoop at the same time. After getting 4 other estimates, we we decided on using Cornerstone Concrete, and we are glad we did. His reference were solid & his pricing was very competitive. John took the time to insure he understood the design we had for the larger, curved stoop & sidewalk. John and his assistant did a wonderful job. Work was started as scheduled and completed in the estimated time. Clean up was impeccable. After completion, we found a small water leak in some plumbing under the front stoop. This appeared to be caused by framing required for the stoop. This was in a very tight space. John promptly had this fixed!Completed work is great. Job, from estimate to completion couldn't have been done more professionally. Follow up service (on the leak) was very prompt. We highly recommend this company & will use them again.
Description of Work: Removed & replaced front & side stoops, and side walks between them. Also shored underside of front stoop with rubber membrane over the entire block foundation dug down 2' (3 courses of block). Installed 1" re-bar. Side stoop was replaced with a larger (94" by 76") curved design we provided. Installed four post holes 42" deep required by new side stoop. Side walk was also curved. Part of driveway was cut as needed for new stop & sidewalk. Did minimal impact to existing landscape.

It was a great experience. He took time to explain every aspect of the job. The price was competative. We received a quote last year from another company and they would have charged twice as much to do the patio.
Description of Work: Removed and poured large concrete driveway and stamped concrete patio. The stamped patio looks awesome (so does the driveway, but it is not stamped). John was great to work with. He explained what to expect and what we could do to keep costs down. He was very professional. We are very happy with the outcome and have already recommended him to friends.

We found this company on Angies List. We got a total of 3 bids altogether. We ended up going this company because John was the most friendly and his cost was decent. Other bids in came way over what John quoted us. Our phone call was returned the next day after I left a message. John came out a couple hours later and gave us a bid on the spot. This was very convienent because the other two companies took another week before getting a bid out to us. We called John the next day and told him we wanted him to do the job. He was booked out for 3 weeks and asked us to call him to remind him. When the 3 weeks were up we called him and were told that he would be out the next week toward the end of the week. We did not hear from him towards the end of next week so we called him. He apoligized and told us he was running behind schedule and that he would call us on Sunday to let us know which day he would be out. We did not hear from him on Sunday so we called him. We were promised he would come out on Tuesday. He was there on Tuesday bright and early. Overall, we were very happy with the work that John did for us. We didn't get the work done as soon as we wanted and things got delayed even further because of the weather but we feel you won't find a better price for the work anywhere else. In the future if we need this type of work again we will definitely be calling John at Cornerstone Concrete. He is a nice guy. We would recommend him.
Description of Work: We recently purchased a home which had a sunken sidewalk directly in front of the steps leading up to our house. It was a city requirement to have it repaired. We were told by friends and family and it was reaffirmed to us from this contractor and others that if we wanted other work done it would be best to do it all at once because it cost $350 just to have the cement truck come out. As a result, we decided to replace the entire garage apron in addition to the sunken sidewalk. We also had the contractor extend the sidewalk another six feet to be flushed with the corner of the house. We did not have to do a thing. The contractor took care of moving bushes and rocks out of the way and even took the debris with him also. We did not have to do a thing to prep or clean up.

Mr. Lecy responded to my request for a bid. We spoke over the phone, and via e-mail. I accepted his bid, as I could not connect with the competing contractor. The work was completed as agreed. The quality seems excellent. Mr. Lecy gave instructions on care of the new sidewalk. He was friendly, timely, efficient, and answered my questions politely and thoroughly. I am happy with the job. Note: I gave a grade of "NA" for price, as I only had one bid, and have nothing to compare to that of Cornerstone Concrete. That being said, the price did seem fair considering the time, equipment, materials, and labor.
Description of Work: Remove old concrete sidewalk, and replace with new concrete. The sidewalk measures 4'x25'. The original bid was for $1,250; Once the old sidewalk was removed, Mr. Lecy called the cement company for an additional 1/3 yard of cement; the old sidewalk was quite thick. He was prepared to "eat" the additional expense. He never asked for more money; but I offered to cover the expense, thus the discrepancy in the bid and amount paid.

Cornerstone Concrete did an excellent job with the replacement of our front steps, including textured stamping and coloration along with a unique layout. Our goal was to replace our front door steps and side door steps with a two-step patio connecting the two entrances to the house ? this involved matching up two perpendicular arcs using a fairly tight S-curve, along with a bull nose on both steps to get the look we were searching for. John Lecy, the owner, was knowledgeable and professional throughout; offering great advice and suggestions as we worked through the intricacies of this project. He used a very creative approach in laying out the forms that matched up the new arcs of the front steps to corresponding arcs on our house and driveway. John was willing to work through multiple rounds of color concrete samples with us to identify the color we wanted, unlike most other contractors we spoke with who expected us to simply pick a color out of a vendor brochure (!#@~!). This was just one example where John partnered with us to ensure that we arrived exactly where we wanted to be. And while it took a couple iterations to get the color just right, John was very patient and understanding in our pursuit of matching the new concrete steps with the paint and stone colors we planned to use in renovating the exterior of our home. The results turned out beautifully ? the textured surface, the marbleized coloration and how it dovetails with the house is exactly what we envisioned. We highly recommend John and his crew for any decorative concrete project you may have; John can do it all!

Overall, we did not give him a chance but he seemed too busy this fall to assist.
Description of Work: We did not choose Cornerstone. His price was comparable to other estimates we received but since we had to call him twice to get him to come out, we decided it was not a good start to our driveway project. No other complaints, other than that. He seemed professional enough but very busy.

John, and his son, Kyle, were extremely easy to work with. John kept me informed every step of the way. When we encountered rain delays, he was clear about when the work could resume. I appreciated that he gave careful regard to the weather and did not try to hurry through the project even though it meant he had to extend how long he was at my house by several days. I never felt he tried to hurry any step of the process along, even when it took longer than expected for my concrete sidewalk to set up on the last day given the cool, wet weather. John patiently waited it out until the concrete was "just right" to finish the project. The work site was cleaned up at the end of each day and the debry hauled away. The finished job exceeded my expectations and clearly shows the expertise and experience John brings to his work. I would not hesitate to recommend Cornerstone Concrete, and I will DEFINITELY use them again for future concrete needs. It was truly a pleasant experience.
Description of Work: Foundation repair: scrape out cracks and fill with a concrete crack filler. Front stoop and steps: Demolish and dispose of existing front steps. DIg and pour footings. Pour a new 7'4" Long x 5" deep stoop that sits flush with the front door as well as 4 steps leading down to the sidewalk. Sidewalk: Tear out and dispose of existing sidewalk. Replace with a new wider sidewalk with a new configuration to accomodate the new stoop and steps.

I used Corner Stone Concrete llc. to pour a concrete floor and cover the new drain tile installed in my basement. They came out and gave a free estimate. I didn’t have to wait around for him to show up; he arrived on time at the time we agreed to meet. Corner Stone Concrete LLC’s rates were very reasonable. The finished product was professionally done and there was not a big mess when he left. I think that the main reason I used company was because of John Lecy (the owner) and how down to earth he was. He seemed very trustworthy the first time we meet and lived up to that. I WILL use him for future projects. Highly recommended! E. House MLS Mortgage Group (612) 789-5626 www.MLSMortgageGroup.com

When I placed the call to Cornerstone Concrete that I wanted an estimate on a concrete slab for a shed to be built on, they were able to come out very promptly. When they got to our backyard, they told us clearly what the plan was going to be. He measured the area and wrote up a bid on the spot. The bid clearly stated all that would be done including clean up. When the day came to pour the cement, we requested that the cement truck not go on our lawn. The workers knew that meant a lot more back and forth with wheel barrels, but they never complained and the job was completed when they stated it would be done. Cornerstone Concrete is easy to work with and I will use them again when I need more work done.

This was a large project that contained both functional and creative design components. Cornerstone provided practical and affordable alternatives, while incorporating creative design ideas that gave the project a unique and distinctive flair. They were very patient as we asked many questions, and posed many alternative ideas - ultimately reaching a compromise between budget and scope. The project was completed on time and within budget. The estimate was precisely what we paid, and no changes were required, (more importantly no surprises or hidden costs.) As the project progressed, all questions were answered professionally and to our satisfaction. Cornerstone went to great lengths to insure the project was completed to our requirements and consistently went ?above and beyond? to make sure we were a satisfied customer. We?ve encountered many contractors over the years, as we built this house, finished basements, replaced the roof, siding, furnace/AC, etc. This is absolutely the best experience we?ve had.
Description of Work: Replaced asphalt driveway with concrete (including colored, stamped boarder). Replaced concrete sidewalk (matching color and stamp of driveway boarder). Overlayed front stoop (with matching color and stamp of sidewalk). Installed/poured concrete 40x20 backyard patio/basketball court and sidewalk (including matching stamp and boarder).

I was pleased that everything went as planned.John came out to give me a bid and spent plenty of time helping me decide what my options were. Once decided, he gave me an estimate and promised to provide a firm quote in short order. i received the quote--with no surprises--the next day. The work was scheduled and completed as planned without any concerns. I was more than happy with the finished product and i would not hesitate to recommend John to any of my several hundred clients. He is a hard and proficient worker and a man of integrity. You can take John at his word--what you see is what you get!
Description of Work: I was just completing a substantial renovation to my home, and thought it appropriate to consider an upgrade of my 38 year old concrete driveway along with new steps to our front porch. I contacted John and he provided some great insight on my options from overlay, decorative stamping, color, tear out and new pour, along with an added sidewalk. I ultimately decided on the sidewalk, front steps, and the tear out with a new pour. The added color to the front steps provided some extra class. John had also done some work previously on my father's home built in 1906 providing excellent foundation repair.

Cornerstone Concrete was extremely professional and polite. Finished the job exactly on time and I could not be happier with the results. The work was first rate and as I said even the framers who came later noted how square and true the foundation for the garage was when they constructed the walls and roof. Excellent value for quality work.
Description of Work: Cornerstone concrete did two jobs for me. They poured a large concrete apron in front of my house for parking and use as a basketball court. The concrete has held up well and still looks great. They even setup a basketball hoop I had purchased and placed it in concrete even though it wasn't part of the job - at exactly 10 feet I might add! The other job they did was pouring a floor and constructing a concrete block foundation for an external garage. The floor was perfectly smooth and the block foundation was so square that the garage framers commented on how perfectly square and true the foundation was. They even moved the excess dirt for me to a nearby area I had pointed out and smoothed it out for me.
