Ryan installed a nice looking floor. We changed a few details as the project moved forward (we leveled the floor and talked about the materials cost of that change, but that was the only discussion we had about costs going up) However, When it came time to pay the invoice it was about $700 more than we had spoken about (even on top of the floor leveling). He added on a bunch of labor and materials that I never approved and was unaware that the meter was running. He itemized well over $700 in materials, but his initial bid had materials cost at $400. He was regularly late to the job site and on 2 days, never showed up. When I would call or text, he would answer and give me his excuse for not being there, but he was a poor communicator. He forgot tools on the job after he left. He left my house unlocked after leaving one day. on top of that he was very uncomfortable discussing the fact that he had a job laying tile at a gay bar. I don't think it would be called overt homophobia, but it wasn't cool. I would not recommend Rockwell tile, and I will not use them again.
