I had a new ipod (a few months old) that developed a small crack at the bottom of the screen. One day I was closing it in a drawer, and the drawer completely shattered the entire screen. I looked around online to see how to go about repairing it. I considered buying a scren kit, and some friends said they knew someone who would do it for $50. I finally called the Apple store to see what the cost would be. They said I could make an appointment and they would take a look at it, but they couldn't make any estimates without seeing it. When I arrived for the appointment, the store was full, and the wait was longer than I expected after check-in. It was a Saturday, so I should probably have expected it. When it was my turn, the guy asked me what happened to the ipod. I told the truth--that it had been smashed in the drawer (even though the drawer wasn't slammed). He looked over the ipod, typed some things in, and then said that Apple would replace the ipod this time for free. He said he couldn't guarantee what would happen next time, but this time it was covered. I was so excited because I didn't expect to walk out with a brand new ipod! The service experience was pleasant, so I would visit this store again. And I would recommend to anyone with a cracked ipod screen to check with Apple before paying someone else to fix your device.
Description of Work: Ipod repair, ipod replacement
At the point of transaction they said I could not have the phone because it was not in their system. I asked them to check again at which point the representative became angry, agitated, and rude. I pushed through my request but would be reluctant to go back to the store for further services.
Description of Work: I went to pick up a new phone which I had reserved.

It was an incredible experience to be able to call about a computer repair and within a 3 hour time period have the computer repaired and returned to use.
Description of Work: My computer broke and I went through their national tech support and since they could not solve the problem over the phone they made an appointment for me to see someone at the Apple store within 2 hours. They looked at it and found that there was mechanical failure and my computer was out of warranty by 3 months. They fixed the computer within 30 minutes and did not charge me anything since I was so close to the warranty and it had recently expired.

After some on-line research and reading some articles I had a basic knowledge of what I wanted. The sales rep in the Apple Store walked me through some of my options and was good at giving information and sometimes advice without putting on pressure. Within a couple of minutes we had nailed down the details of the purchase and off he went to gather the items. He brought them out to the sales floor to review with me and was able to scan the items in via a handheld scanner and then charge my credit card standing right in the middle of store. A few minutes later he brought the items out to the back dock for loading in my car. Only thing that slowed me down was the store was busy as it was a Saturday and iPhone sales were really hot. Sale crew did a good job of keeping things moving with all those people in the store.
Description of Work: Purchase of new Mac computer, software and some accessories.
