It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They worked very well. He was very knowledgeable, pleasant to talk with and the service was quick.

I bought ant treatment special on Angie's list Tuesday night, and had a phone call from Larry at 7:30 AM Wednesday. He discussed the problem and treatment with me, advised that he had an opening at noon, showed up at ll:00, and was finished spraying before noon. This is probably the fastest service response I have ever had from any profession, with the exception of plumbing services that charge extra for emergency response. In addition to the ant treatment, Larry also sprayed 2 hornet nests of which I was unaware, at no additional charge. In addition to being prompt, Larry is courteous, well versed in the profession, and friendly---we found we had a personal common interest. This treatment comes with a 6-month warranty, and unlike some individuals in other trades that I have encountered over the years, did not suggest, or even hint, at selling me additional things that I didn't need. No one wants to see carpenter ants, wasps, or any other pests around the house. Larry provided the fastest possible professional remedy for the problem, and I highly recommend him. One little thing that was really thoughtful was that when he checked the traps, I told him I didn't want to see what was inside, but asked him to tell me what he saw. He did and was sensitive to my squeamishness in the process. Both he and his partner were generous in taking time to answer all my questions and then some! It is clear that they understand client sensitivity around pest issues. They came a little later to spray outside than they normally would have, but that was totally because of snow and rain that necessarily pushed back their service dates. Overall these guys provided a great service!

Larry was very professional and courteous. He did a terrific job of explaining potential problems as well as addressing existing problems. He was very thorough and I would recommend him to anyone!

I did see a few ants in the first week after the treatment which were dead and no ants since that week. Fabulous! I would call Larry again for any pest issues. Great guy! Very knowledgeable.

Recognized it wasn't an ant problem but a mold problem. These guys are very honest and trustworthy. I have used them before. I know I can trust them and would highly recommend their services.

We had a problem with ants coming in through a window in our master bedroom. I tried several home remedies but had no success. Larry came sprayed around the outside of the house and (knock on wood) we haven't seen one since! He guarantees his work as well. Awesome business owner and operator.

He was able to explain a bit about the ants, and then came out to spray that morning. He said the ants would be gone from inside the house in a week, and they were.

I called West Side on Monday (6/17/13) to discuss our serious ant infestation, both in our front yard and along the foundation of our 1950's home which we are remodeling. Larry Jr. (who owns the company with his father, Larry Sr. who was an Executive for Orkin for 25+ years before starting this business with Larry Jr.) and I had a very informative, educative, and funny conversation. He asked me what my issues/concerns were to determine if they could "honestly" assist us. I described in detail our numerous issues, (including the fact that I had taken a wet/dry vac to try to eliminate the sand mound nests in an area of cracked concrete foundation). He may be the "Jr." in this operation, but really knows his stuff! He asked all the right questions - more than I really could answer - to determine if they were a "fit" for our needs.. Larry came out promply the next morning, took his time to look at our foundation, including using a flashlight to check the entire foundation and stone patio, and the ant mounds in the front yard (which on the phone he didn't think he could treat, but did VERY successfully) . Larry showed me issues I wasn't even aware of - then treated them. He explained everything he was doing, why he was doing it, including the chemicals he was using - a special concern to me since we have a 7 lb Yorkie that I didn't want to become ill.. Larry told me to wait a week before all the ants would be gone, but within 2 days they were long gone (including the hard to treat ants in our wet yard). He also told me to contact them if in after a week we were still having problems so he could come back and address them. Larry was extremely professional, knowledgable, thorough, personable and a joy to do business with. As a former banker for 35 years, I'm so glad I called West Side and had them do our work. Having someone who is an owner of the company actually do the assessment and the treatment was refreshing. The "vested interest" in their reputation and the quality of work they do was obvious.. We already have them on our calendar for next spring to start an annual program to exterminate our home for ants and any other insects we discover as we continue to remodel our home. Great service, great value, and most importantly we are ant ridden - in less time than I expected or hoped for. What more can you ask for?? Use them...........you won't be disappointed!

He came out pretty fast as we had a big storm and he was supposed to go and do somebody else and that person cancelled and we had to reschedule which was fine. We didn't meet the gentleman in person, but he was nice on phone and he said he would come back out if we saw wasps again. We haven't seen wasps since then.

This was a big deal special for a "Winter Home Mouse Control Package." I purchased and utilized this service in December of 2012. Larry & Larry Junior, two extremely polite young gents, inspected my home (indoors and outdoors) for signs of rodent activity, potential entry points, etc. They set up several traps, and were very helpful in walking me through the reason for placements and safety for discarding the used traps/mice. They advised me of several potential access points, none of which could be sealed properly due to the cold weather, so it was agreed they would come back in the Spring, which they did when I called and asked them to do so. Meanwhile, the traps were all full within days, so we went ahead and replaced them ourselves, but never caught another mouse. It seemed to be under control, but we eventually heard occasional scurrying. Still, none of the new traps were triggered. I opted to wait until it was warm enough they could finish the job, and called back in March to fill them in on our situation. They laid new traps, sealed up a hole out back, and that was that. The new traps still never triggered, and we still hear the occasional mouse in the wall. I have since called them to come about bug intrusions. They had another big deal posted for it on the site, but I figured I would call and schedule something directly since they are a nice, family-owned company. I made a rough appointment (they were meant to call me on a certain date "around lunch time," once they were on their way out to my house, and I was going to leave work to meet them there) but I never heard from them again. I thought about calling them back, but figure it must be out of the way or something. We have had some success with our own insect control, but still haven't caught a mouse in any of our traps.

Everything turned out great! They did exactly what the deal described and we've hired them a couple times since.

They came out almost right away, within a week of us calling them. They've done an outstanding job. We had annual problems for years with Asian beetles and boxelders and they virtually eliminated them. We used to have thousands and now we have one or 2. The level of success is outstanding. They tremendously exceeded our expectations. The value was outstanding for them. I would recommend them to anybody. Without a doubt, they've got to be one of the best pest control companies in the Twin Cities.

He is excellent. I was really happy. I did not have any problems for the remainder of this season, and at the very early part of the season, he called back to check to see if everything was fine or if he needed to come back out to follow-up. I was really impressed by that. I would definitely recommend him. It did not cost me more than the $79 big deal. I knew I had some ants, but I did not realize that it was carpenter ants. We had some old oak trees, and he said that I could lose those trees if I did not treat them. He was really knowledgeable.

We have a recurring problem with box elders. We were told to expect it to take up to two weeks for the problem to subside. However, it was only a few days and we were virtually box elder free. It was wonderful.

It was a very positive experience. Larry arrived promptly at the time he said he would be here. He discussed what he was going to do an how the treatment would kill ant inside and outside the house. He was very professional and very personable.

Westside Pest was easy to get ahold of and promptly scheduled the service we asked for. We also had some carpenter ants, which were taken care of with no problems. Westside Pest is a very professional company that's easy to work with. I would definitely use them again!

It was a wonderful experience. We live in a townhouse and he had to go around it twice. He was very knowledgeable and very interesting to speak too. I will use him again. I am waiting for him to put up another big deal. His big deal went up early and he called us right away and asked if we needed him right away. He was wonderful. I told him that I did not want to use it until September. I wanted to wait until everything was fresh and the ants would try to come in again. He was very accommodating. It was a wonderful experience with Angie’s List. We have a common wall, so we are not going to be able to get rid of all of them. He did get the multitudes and brought it down to do able. I would use them again.

As other reviewers have stated this is a father/son team and they know their stuff. We had used plunketts in the past and did not see a change in our mouse problem. One call to west side and we haven't seen a mouse since. They did a thorough look through our attics, basement perimeter of the house to rule out any other problems that could have caused or noise and

Box elder bugs decreased immediately, and the treatment lasted throughout the winter and spring.

No service was performed, but this guy was fantastic. He gave me a ton of free advice. We are just a bit too far away to provide good service.

The technician was very courteous and knowledgeable about the wasp nest and how to get rid of it. He was friendly and it was obvious how passionate he was about his work. He thoroughly explained the whole process and made me feel comfortable that we had chosen the right company. I will definitely use West Side Pest Solutions in the future.
