West Side Pest Solutions

The owner and his son both came to our house (on time). They were friendly and courteous. They checked the perimeter of the house, found several wasp nests. They explained the procedure to us, answered questions, and then started to process. They sprayed both an immediate insecticide and a long-term insecticide (in case wasps from other yards tried to come in at a later time). They finished the work quickly and efficiently, including dealing with a nest that had gotten into a vent. They reminded us of their guarantee, told us that the wasps should be gone within two weeks, and that if they were not, that they would come back and spray again. We saw an occasional wasp (which we had been told we might, from neighboring yards), but have not seen any for more than two weeks now. We are very happy with our results and would hire this company again if we experience the same problem next year.

The day I purchased the big deal, Larry called to set up the appoinment because he was already going to be in the area the next day. He was on-time and thoroughly professional. He spray treated the outside of the house, going around it 2-3 times. He also walked around the perimeter with us to show us watch areas. We were able to enjoy a wonderful summer outside with hardly a wasp in sight - and hardly a spider in sight inside the house. We will definitely use West Side Pest Solutions again next summer. We are also considering their fall/winter package.

He set up a time to come out and looked at the entire property. We had two separate ant species that needed control. this was accomplished quickly. He was very knowledgeable. He came back for a second treatment of the bathroom ants (no additional charge), which took care of it. We haven't seen any ants since then. We also asked him about mosquito control, and he was very forthcoming about its limitations - didn't try to push a product.

Went very well, offered to come back if there was a problem, but there was no need. Friendly and professional.

It went well. They were kid friendly and new their stuff. They sprayed for aunts and then inspected for possible mouse entry. They found a hole under the eaves and plugged it as a part of the service.

I called after coming upon a ground hornet/wasp nest in my yard and being stung about 15 times. It was a week-end, and I left a message assuming I would not hear from them until Monday. They came out about an hour later. Got rid of the nest. Were very professional. And in fact, made some suggestions on how to reduce the wasp sting pain!

Found the source of my problem and took corrective action. Very professional.

I gave this company everything A plus. Our appointment was 9:00am. They (Larry and his father) show up 10 mins before 9. They took care of our problem very quickly. Larry told us that we won't see them by the lastest tomorrow morning 10am. The next morning, I went to look, as he told us, no wasps there. (completely gone). They are not only professional, but also very friendly. They walked around outside of my house to check if there is any other wasps nest, (luckily we do not have). I would definately hire them again if I have any pest issue. I would also recommonded this company to anyone.

Larry Rufledt, Jr., took on this task. I had already been stung by these wasps and was not about to attack the nest myself. So, I looked for a well regarded pest control firm on Angie's List and found Westside as one which had a lerge number of A grades. I called to set up an appoinment, and they were able to take on this job within two days. Larry was a couple of minutes early to the appontment. He explained each step of his process, and I watched from afar. Larry was very brave! He applied his materials into the hole and assured me that all the wasps would be dead within 24 hours. Btw, Westside was $50 less expensive that a much better known (i.e., a more highly advertised) firm.

I was visiting at my daughter's house when our group received 2 yellow jacket stings while on a low outside deck area. I called West Side for help, even though I called a few minutes after their listed closing time. Larry came out very promptly, eliminated the problem, was extremely professional, & even gave us advice on the best way to treat the yellow jacket sting. Highly recommend!

Excellent. Larry located nest, sprayed and educated us on future steps to take. We had purchased his "Angie's List Big Deal"....so glad we did...we can now turn our outside water on without be harassed by wasps.

It was great, they found the nest outside quickly and treated that as well as inside, and we haven't had an issue since. They were quick and helpful and used pet-safe pesticides, which was very important to us.

He sprayed around the perimeter of the house, inside and out. I need to call him because I still have some bugs. He was helpful and a nice guy but I was going to call him and see if he can come back out because I got more pests in the house. He was very friendly and informative, he explains some things to me as we are walking around the house. One thing that I didn't necessarily care for is he arrived in my place before I got there and he's already done spraying and I guess I like to talk it through before anything's done to make sure there's nothing that's toxic for my family or things like that. He already done the whole yard so that would be one thing I guess that I would, to make sure your there before they get there.

Quick and complete -- it went great!

I called West Side Pest Solutions on a Wednesday morning after I had a mouse run by me while I was working from home. To my relief they were able to come out that same day, a few hours after I called, AND they told me about their coupon on Angie's List which I was able to use. They did a thorough inspection inside and outside of the house and filled in about 7 holes that they thought the mice were coming in. We had just seen a mouse run into our bedroom so they went in and looked for it and set up traps to catch it. They also set up multiple traps in the basement out of reach from our pets which was very helpful. We ended up catching a total of 5 or 6 mice in the next few days and we have not seen one since. I highly recommend these guys! Not only do they know what they are doing but they are super friendly too.

Not much to say came on time as scheduled, went to work done in very short time and treated other plase the might build another nest, included in service price no extra charge

Larry showed up on one of the hotest days and was such a nice gentleman. I showed him the areas that I knew where the Bees/Wasps were and he said, " NO PROBLEM", "I can take care of these for you". He came back with a sprayer on his back and sprayed everywhere that he possibly could. We even found a couple more areas that they were really thick and he took care of them also. I am so excited to be able to go out and enjoy my deck and Barbaque without being scared to death of getting stung!.He was so kind to even open my deck umbrella and check inside! He also told me that the Box Elder Bugs that I have evey year would be much less if any at all! That really made my day. He was so through and just and overall nice person! He found a couple of nests and sprayed where we usually see bees. We have not seen any bees all summer.

We were finding 70-80 dead bees in our house every day and couldn't figure out where they were coming from. We finally noticed bees flying in and out of a vent in the chimney outside. I called West Side before I purchased the coupon on Angie's list to make sure they could actually help us. I was told by another company that they couldn't spray in any vents and if they did it would cost more. I spoke with Larry Jr and he assured me that it wouldn't be a problem and to go ahead and purchase the coupon and he would be out the next day to take care of it. Within a few hours of making my purchase on Angie's list I received an email from Larry Sr letting me know that they would be out the next day and make sure the pests were gone. We didn't even have to be there or leave work for this. Larry Jr came out the next day, sprayed and left us a note that he had been there and to contact him if we still had any issues. Within a day we had no more dead bees in our house and haven't seen any since then. I also had questions about mosquito fogging and if they had those services. Larry let me know they didn't do that but that we could really do that ourselves with a little investment up front and it would be better in the long run than paying someone else to do it. It was nice of him to share that with me. We will definitely use West Side again if we need to!

Larry responded to my phone call within an hour and discussed the problem and what he could do to fix it. I purchased a Big Deal for $111 to cover the wasp spraying and he planned to come out later that same day. He arrived and gave us an education on what was going on and how he would fix it. He sprayed the nest and we are now totally pest free. He recommended that we leave the hole open for a few weeks to allow any hatching wasps to leave and then seal the hole. I was also impressed that he sent me a message (through Angie's list) to check in and remind us what to do. Great guy!!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. The customer service was friendly.

We were pleased with the services and recommended them to a neighbor. Our experience with them was very positive.

I found Westside last year on Angies List, and used them to find where mice were entering my root cellar and house. They found a number of cracks in the foundation and places where the phone and television cables were large enough for mice to get through. They plugged them all. I was mouse-free until this month, and called again. Larry came out and found a spot in my garage where they had tunneled through. He plugged it and then filled with sand. He set traps in the basement just in case. No more mice! They guarantee their work for six months too! And in my area of town, that's a great deal.
