Overall they were very good. They did exactly what needed to be done to get the garage door working. There was one thing that I was not happy with. When I called they could not come and fix it until the next day because it would cost an extra surcharge. It was raining so we had to find a way to keep the rain out of our garage. Besides that issue, I think they did a good job and told my husband what to do if it happened in the future.

They were professional and on time. They explained some things I can do to maintain my garage door. They were pleasant and nice. They knew what they were doing and got the job done in a timely manner.

Showed up as scheduled, quoted price, performed work. Couldn't be happier. excellent service.

They were great, they were on time, they were professional, the fixed it quickly and they were very quick to respond, they also gave me a hint of where to get another remote.

Metro Garage was quick to come to an estimate for me of $1,267 for a double steel sided door. Was told by Larry that it would be 2 wks to receive the garage door and have it installed. After 2 wks, no phone calls and no garage door. I called and spoke with Metro Garage Doors again. They told me that my color of garage door happened to be on back order and that because of this it would be another 2 wks to get the garage door. Wow, no courtesy call back about a back order that was placed 2 wks ago?? After another 2 wks, no calls. I called them again. They stated that the garage door just came in and that it would be another week to come out and get it installed. I am usually a patient person but the lack of customer service was bothersome. I asked for some type of discount due to the extra 3 week delay. I was told that they don't give discounts for this problem, because it needed to be back ordered due to the color. The following week I called 2 days prior to the date that the garage door was to be installed. Metro garage said, "Didn't we call you with the date already?" I said, I haven't been contacted by anyone. After some discussion the door was scheduled. The installer Tim was nice and he did a good job. Not to be picky, but the top of the garage door slants back at the top, I think its because of the rubber seal at the bottom pushes the garage door up more off the pavement. My experience was not what appeared on Angie's List, I guess I can't say that I would recommend this company. My neighbor is going with another garage door company.

Darren showed up right on time to install the new garage door and did a great job. He was very pleasant and easy going, and did a wonderful job. New door looks fantastic. Hauled away every bit of the old door and was careful to be sure the new door was working properly. Just a couple of snags with the billing after estimate was approved the entire amount was debited from my bank account instead of only $800 to secure scheduling as indicated on the contract thus an overdraft to my bank account. Once the job was complete it was written up as less than the estimate, but upon checking that turned out to be a mistake and did end up paying the original estimated price, which was fine. Overall very satisfied and most importantly very pleased with the new garage door.

It went very good. The garage door is operating fine and they did what we asked them to do in terms on the design. They were able to stick with our budget and we liked the work that they did.

I had requested bids on line from 3 companies to replace my old garage door as well as the door opener. Two companies responded immediately and scheduled appointments to bid for the job. A large chain store never responded. I wanted to have three bids so I searched for another company. I had a friend recommend me to check on Angie's List, so I joined and found Metro Garage Door Co. I requested a bid from them as well. I received a call from them the following day. I must say I was disappointed with the caller; the reason was that the individual told me that there was a charge for sending somebody to extend a quote on site (none of the other companies who came to my house charged me to come and extend a quote) this person insisted there was a charge if I wanted to have someone come to my house to give me a quote and I didn't in the end place an order with them (even though their website says otherwise) after a lengthy conversation in which I explained to the caller, what his own website explained and also told him that I was a member of Angie's List, he finally agreed and sent someone over. A representative of the company arrived on June 10th and bid for the door. After some negotiation, lengthy discussion and based on Angie's List recommendations I decided to place an order with this company. They were not the cheapest, but after some finagling it came down to a comfortable price. We signed the agreement and he required a 50% deposit to place the order. It took a lot more than I had anticipated to get the door installed, I expected a couple of weeks and it took almost a month. The installer arrived on July 8th, very professional. He took down the old door, installed the new one, the door opener, explained everything we needed to know about the system and cleaned everything very nicely. We are very pleased with the new garage door and with the opener. Other that the initial call from the company and the length of time it took to be installed, I am very pleased with the job they did. I would definitively recommended them to anybody.

We tried to open the garage door last night, but it would go up a couple inches and fall back down. Testing it out a couple more times resulted in the garage opener emitting smoke and a foul smell. In addition, it looked like one of the springs had broken. That's when we decided to pull the plug and call a professional. I called early the next morning and was able to get an appointment for that day. Dana arrived at 1pm (nice and early in the 12-4pm window) and I walked him through what happened. He noted the broken spring and let us know that since our existing spring system was of an older style he would also need to replace some of the mounting pieces in addition to the springs. Once that was done, he would check the opener itself...it was possible the belt just got jammed up (which would explain the smell). If it was just the springs and mount pieces he said it would be probably around $250 or so. He set to work and by 2:05 he was done with the spring replacement and had the door fully functional! (The belt had, in fact, just fallen off a little and our opener was just fine.) This was a great experience all around!

I needed emergency service because both springs on my garage door had broken. There was no way for me to get my car out of the garage. I had made two other calls to find someone to fix it today with no luck. I then looked on Angie's List and found Metro Garage Door Co. with A ratings, an award, and a coupon to replace 2 torsion springs for $169. They could come between the time I called (just after 1:00 P.M.) and 4:00 P.M. He showed up just after 3:00. Said he could replace the springs easily. Asked if I wanted a 23 point inspection for $39 and I agreed. I asked how long it would take and was told about 35 minutes. He was finished in about 30. The garage door opener track had bent from my attempts to open the door before I realized I had broken springs. He was able to straighten this out. The door is fixed, the track is straight, and the track is well lubricated. The opener works great and I am very happy.

Came on time. Repaired the problem. No muss, no fuss.

Our spring on the double door broke on a Saturday. I gave them a call and left a message. On Monday morning they were in my driveway ready to fix the spring. He was very nice and he offered money saving equipment packages. He did the work and was gone.

They were very professional and they put a lot of effort in. But they promised me a faster opening garage door when it got installed and it was just the same.

They did a very good job. They were very friendly. They got the job done in time. It was very easy to get them to come out. They stuck with the estimate that they had given me. I was real pleased. I would recommend to friends and family. I would use them again in the future. Prices were good.

The door broke late on a Friday afternoon. I called their phone # and asked them if a Saturday call would be charged extra as an emergency call, and I was told no. Service was scheduled for Saturday, and they said they would send someone out between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM (they couldn't narrow that window for some reason). They said they would call my cell phone when they were on their way over if I needed to run any short errands, however. On Saturday, I stayed home all morning and did chores. Around 1:30, I became worried, so I called. They said "something came up" and they wouldn't be able to come. No apology offered. They said they could send someone out Monday morning between 8:00 and 10:00 however, so I gave them another chance (it was already Saturday afternoon, and even if I could get a hold of someone else, there'd be no guarantee of a Monday morning appointment.) Monday morning, about 9:45, I called them again since no one had showed up and I had received no phone calls. They said they were finishing up another job and I was next on their schedule. At 11:00, I called again and they said they were on their way over. Their technician finally arrived at about 11:45. He bordered on rude and seemed put out by the fact I had an Angie's list coupon for service. He did fix the door and honored the coupon. The door works fine, but never did they apologize or offer compensation for my wasting most of a Saturday and half a Monday for what ultimately took them 20 minutes to fix. Next time I need any garage door work done, I will probably give another outfit a shot...

My garage door had one broken spring and was making a lot of noise when opening and closing. I contacted Metro and they were able to make the appointment to come out the next morning. After talking with the technician and considering the cost and value, I elected to have both springs replaced and the inspection completed. The technician worked quickly, explained things to me and my door now works better than ever.

Estimate was right on, work was done the next week on schedule and very professional, quality workmanship.

Tom the service person arrived promptly early in the morning. He asked some questions about the old garage door opener to see if perhaps there was another problem within the system (i.e. electric eye sensors), but finally agreed that the unit probably had a short and should be replaced. Work was completed within one hour.

Our door opener/springs/cables are 14 or 15 years old, so when one of the springs broke I assumed we'd be pressured into replacing it all. That didn't happen. Kevin recommended considering replacing the cables, as we could see that they were stretched. I decided to go ahead with that since it seemed like a wise preventive measure (a broken cable could cause one side of the door to drop causing all kinds of problems). He said the chain and opener were just fine. The job was done in less that 30 minutes and he was able to come out the same day I called! The coupon (pair of springs for $169) was an incentive to use this company, though the integrity and trustworthiness reflected in their Angies List reviews were even more important.

The installation went relatively well. I had to call to have adjustments made-these were done well. However, when I called ten months after installation to report the door not opening with hand control the company sent someone to try to fix free. A new circuit board was installed to no avail. They told me that there was something blocking the signal from getting to the opener and did try to fix it. It was when I called to see what else I could do that I was not treated very well and was called a liar by their company rep. called Todd. They said I would have to pay $45.00 plus time to have them evaluate where the signal blocking was coming from. There was nothing they could do other than that! It was this angry response that offended me. Then I called several other companies and they said that this situation generally disappears after a short while. One said that I could install an antenna outside the door to pick up the signal. Another said there is a 400 series LiftMaster which could help the problem-At least I was given some options and I felt better. Why didn't Metro do this? I would not recommend this company due to their customer service representatives treatment of customers.

I chose them due to the high ratings they received on Angies' List. They were able to work this job in the next day. I thought they were efficient and professional and live up to their Angies' List ratings.

They were great. They were prompt and gave me good advice about my long term situation. They took care of the problem.

The representatives on the phone were very pleasant and helpful and sent someone out the morning after I called (I called rather late in the day). The first technician replaced the old springs on my garage door. Unfortunately that didn't take care of the problem. Not really his fault because it was temperamental and sometimes worked, as it did when the second technician came out a couple of weeks later. Of course, it worked just fine when he arrived. So I told him what had been happening and he said it sounded like an electrical problem in the machine, which was old, in fact, not manufactured anymore. I chose the option of just replacing it. He also did some maintenance on some rusted cables and informed me how to avoid future problems with them. Both men were friendly and capable.

The tech came out during the time frame they said he would. They called to tell me when he was done with his previous appointment and he was at my garage within 20 min and could have charged me for a broken cable, but he just put it back on and did some maintenance. He gave me great tips to keep the door in shape.
