Torsion spring broke on a Sunday (of course). That evening, I was able to schedule a service call for Monday morning. Technician was a bit early, polite and professional. Cost was as promised, and the "additional" repair item ran only a few dollars. The company honored the "$189 for Two Torsion Springs" Angie's List coupon.

I called Metro because my door would not open. I authorized up to $100 since I would not be home when they came. They came promptly the same day and then called to tell me they had repaired a roller, oiled the track and made some adjustments for $99 (if I had authorized $200 would they have found $199 in repairs?) Meanwhile, the door still did not open and they quoted $150 to fix the old opener or $300 for a new one. I opted for a new one which they promptly installed, and they also replaced the rubber strip at the bottom of the door, per my request. After $500, I noticed the strip didn't seem to be as heavy as the old one and was creasing. I called and asked if they could come out again and look at it with me. The office woman who called back was firm to the point of being rude in telling me the strip was the manufacturer's specified product ,and if they came out and determined there was no problem in their workmanship, I would be charged for another service call. I'm two miles from their business, and for $500 they couldn't come back and inspect it with me. I will not use them again. I wished I had used a smaller, more flexible company.

Great -- the guy came out the next day, and got the garage door working again. We really probably need to replace the whole garage door system, but didn't really have the money to do that at this time. The guy was very reasonable in helping us getting it back into working order, so that it will last us a little while longer. When we do decide to replace the whole door, we'll definitely have this company do it!

The service tech arrived within a few hours of my call. He diagnosed the problem after dismantling the existing motor and explained why the existing motor could not be repaired (too old - circuit board no longer made). He installed the new motor and also installed a new key-less entry. He was an excellent communicator and worked very efficiently. I was impressed with the level of service.

I went to their place of business to select the door. Later I called to set up an appointment. They came out to measure and then scheduled a day to install the new door. They came in and installed the door, in and out, everything went fine.

I called and they sent someone out the next day. The installer was polite and professional. The door works well. We were disappointed to find advertising for the same installation from another company for a lower price.

Very quick and easy to have him come out and fix it, he even lubed the mechanism after and the garage door now opens more smoothly and quietly too.

They did really good. They provided fast service and performed the work very quickly.

I have always had next day service and have always had quality work done.

A two man crew showed up. I told them the story of how my opener made this horrific sound, how I called another company and got taken. They explained the problem with the door, told me what they were going to do, and did it swiftly. I don't remember the details but I do remember both guys being very professional and friendly about the job performed.

When he tried it, it worked. I expected him to ask for the trip charge and leave. He checked several things. Said the button in the garage door was a Stanley and the opener is a Craftsman-they apparently are incompatible and can cause intermittent problems. He installed a compatible button that has additional features: locking, and a light button. Also explained a few other things that I can watch for if there's a problem in the future. Also purchased an additional transmitter.

They responded very quickly, showed up promptly, did the work, and there have been no problems since. For the garage door opener, he walked me through the settings changes, and even programmed my wife's built-in HomeLink receiver in her car to work with the new opener. We would definitely use them again for any other garage door problems. I'm unsure of the total cost of the 2 repairs together, but did not feel like either had an excessive charge.

These guys are fantastic; quick, good follow-up! The Sales guy was really no nonsense, and when we asked about some "higher end" doors, he even discouraged us by saying, "This is a pretty short door, the doors with windows aren't made for this size, and because of how small (vertically) it is, I'd just go really basic if I was you." When the installation guy came out (who did the install by himself, which shocked me), he came into the house to even have me look at it when he was done. He had cut a piece of wood too short, and promised me he'd be back the next week to re-do it. He gave me the "customer feedback card" and said, "this will hold me accountable because my company REALLY wants you to fill this out, give me a couple days to get back here and put that last piece of wood up, and if I don't, feel free to write that I didn't finish on that card!" He was super nice and the garage door looks fantastic!

They were very responsive and out within two hours of my call. I was very happy!

Person called to tell me he's almost there. Arrived. Pulled out tools after seeing the broken spring. Started the repair work. Very pleasant while I asked questions, but didn't slow him down. Made repair in a relatively short period of time. Tested door opener only to find out that the door didn't move. He thought that the gears were stripped inside the motor, and after opening up the casing of the motor, verified that they were indeed stripped. He had the gear replacement assembly if I wanted him to fix it. I did, and he did it in no time at all. He gave me an estimate on the additional cost before he did the work. I gave him my O.K and he completed the work.

Great. When I called I got the after hours service, who were very helpful. The main office called first thing the next morning to confirm details. Repairman showed up on time, communicated well, did a great job. Highly recommended.

A Ridge Door technician came out to check on our garage door opener that wasn't working and within a couple minutes had the garage door opener working again; the sensor wasn't connecting. The technician said "you are set to go" but I had concerns because of the age of the opener. We found the opener we had is no longer supported with parts and felt the 'length of life' is more than likely limited, we opted to have it removed and a new opener installed.

Our garage door broke and they sent someone out the next morning to fix it. The service man knew what was wrong right away and had the parts he needed on his truck.

The garage door would not open when I came home from working the night shift. Called Metro Garage after checking on Angie's List. They said someone could be out there between 12 and 4 that same day. The technician arrived about 12:15, and was finished around 1. He seemed to do a good job. I have absolutely no complaints about the service and appreciated the quick service, in that I couldn't get my car into the garage.

It went very good, working with them. They came on time to do the work for me. They cleaned up well when they were done with the work. This was the first time I had used their services. They took time to explain the new opener to me.

As always, their response time was quite good. I called their 24-hour number Sunday night (late) and they were out on Monday morning (no emergency charge). The estimate they gave me for the 2" double-sided steel door was reasonable, so I went ahead and ordered it. There were only two disappointments. First, the door took 4 weeks to arrive rather than the 3 that they originally estimated, and we had to make a couple of calls to see what was going on. Second, they suggested that I remove the old weather seal and re-paint the garage door trim so that there would be no bare wood or mis-matched colors once the new door was installed. We took their advice and painted and primed the whole thing. Unfortunately, what they didn't tell me is that the entire "door stop" would be removed... so now I have bare wood around the new door stop (because it's not quite the same size as the old one), and I'll have to paint again. I'm still giving them a B because I trust them, but the painting thing is kind of annoying.

The installation went fine. But the garage door had a defective window in the top panel so I called them and they said they would send some one out to check it. They didn't send anyone out for three weeks. When they did finally send someone out they ordered it from the factory but did not get it installed for two more months. They also charged my credit card for the balance of payment and I told them not to.

It went very well. The day I called them they were willing to come out that same say. They are very punctual and responsive. They cleaned up everything and they charged exactly what they said they were going to charge.

Overall they did a great job, we we're very pleased with the job they did, they we're very prompt and professional. We have no complaints, and the whole unit works very fine.
