Scott arrived exactly on time. He assessed the job. Listening to what our input was concerning the problem we were experiencing. He explained everything clearly and was very professional. We were completely satisfied.

I purchased a garage door tune-up through the "Big Deal " on Angie's List (after putting off having the door serviced for quite some time). The garage door was slightly uneven and one of the rollers would occasionally pop out of the track. It also made a horrible squeaking noise when it was opened or closed - very annoying. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the service I received. I was able to get through to someone at the office on my first call and to have the service scheduled for the next day. My service time was scheduled for between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m, and I received a call from the technician shortly after 8:00 telling me that he was on his way. The technician, Scott, was friendly and professional. He thoroughly inspected my garage door, and the opener, and explained to me in layman terms what needed to be adjusted. Fortunately, the door only needed to have the cables adjusted and the hinges lubricated -- no repairs. Scott also lubricated the track on my garage door opener. I'm so glad I took advantage of the "Big Deal" because now I have one less thing to worry about.

I called and was helped in a friendly manner right away. The call was quick, efficient, and service was scheduled for the following Saturday (they were available sooner, but I work weekdays). When the gentleman arrived, exactly on time, I showed him the problem; I thought I needed new springs but I only needed new cables (less expense!). He could easily have recommended I get new springs AND cables, and I would have done it, but he was honest and I felt he was really looking out for me. He then recommended I service the door, which I have never done in 8 years of owning my home, and the door goes up and down so much more smoothly now. Everything was finished within 30 minutes.

We had our Garage Door spring broken with both the cars inside. Pretty much locked in on Friday evening. I called Metro Garage and they shared that the next availability would be Tuesday. However when I did share that we are unable to get out and would prefer some one come in sooner, they were very helpful and figured out to send some one on Saturday AM. The person who came in was prompt and got to work immediately and was done in about 30-45 minutes. He also offered to do a maintenance check for an additional $39, which I did take. In hindsight, post the work, I didn't see the value of that $39. however I was very happy with their ability to get in quickly and get the work done.. I would use them again if needed..

Metro called when they were headed to my house, and were right on time. After surveying the situation, the technician indicated he thought he could repair it and reinforce the bent guide rail. He worked very quickly. The bill was only $93, and I found a coupon for $10 on their website, so the net bill was only $83. The door works great, and I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED! Thanks again Metro!

The new door is brown steel and matches our home better. We also selected one with windows in it. It is steel on both sides with a foam core for better insulation. The new opener is belt drive and very quiet and we got keyless entry. This was a major upgrade to our home and lifestyle and will be an excellent money saver for my heated garage in the winter. Great job done and good price.

They were prompt in their response and very helpful. They immediately fixed a small scratch they caused. We were quite happy with their service and will use them again.

This service call stands out from any other garage door service call I ever experienced before. I have been a homeowner for over 35 years and have replaced my share of springs, garage doors, openers and adjustments. This call was professional, on time, reasonable, and the technician went beyond the call of duty. He completed items that made sense that were not part of the job per se, like stapling the wiring out of the way and moving back the laser beams so they were out of the way of entering the garage. The service was outstanding in every way!

They showed up on time. Fixed it quickly. And charged exactly what they said they would charge. He even didn't laugh at me that I couldn't get the door opened by myself when he had no trouble doing it with the help of the opener. ;) Seriously, it was very quick, same day service on time and right on pricing. I had a broken spring and a stuck garage door. My call to the office was quick and to the point. I got the same day service. Chad called me when he was on his way to my house. I had to come from work which took me some time. Chad called me when he arrived and started the work without me. He was very professional and pleasant. He was able to repare the optical sensor which my kid broke while pulling his bike out. It saved me more than $150 if I would need the sensors replaced. The whole service took only about an hour. I am very happy with the service and will definitely use them again.

Great, they came out and replaced our broken garage door opener quickly, and this new one works better than the old one did, by far. Several months later, the door wouldn't open, I called and the gal over the phone asked me questions and determined a the torsion spring on the door itself was broken. I confirmed that the spring was in two peices, I guess the springs don't last forever, and we have had the door for 14 years, so par for the course. They came the next day to replace the springs, and we were back in business.

I had one of two springs break on my double garage door. I replaced both as it is often recommended to do so and a reasonable cost to do so. The process went very quickly, approx. 30 mins., and the repair men suggested that he conduct a multi-point service on the door to ensure all was working properly, lubricated and safe. I asked him to do the same service on my single door garage as well.

This company had installed our garage door and opener a number of years ago, so I called them when we started having some problems with our opener. We could get the door open and closed albeit with some hassle, so we were not in an emergency situation. Nevertheless, they were able to offer times the same day and the next day for a service tech to come out. The tech did a safety check, tightened and re-aligned a number of parts, and left us with the garage door opener once again working like new.

A great experience from start to finish. Friendly, professional and reasonably priced - I would not hesitate to use again in the future or to recommend to others.

Our double garage door malfunctioned and was damaged. On Jan. 28, 2011 Metro did a minor repair on the single garage door and gave us an estimate on the double door. We needed to have the door painted, so the salesperson told us we needed to supply our own paint. I went to their office to deliver the paint and received terrible customer service. At first I was ignored for awhile. I finally spoke to a woman, who then called across the office to Todd. In a condescending tone, Todd informed me that they couldn't take paint that had been opened (I had leftover paint the painters used when we built the house 6 years ago). On Feb. 11 I dropped off "new" paint. I asked Todd for the ETA. He told me the door should be in by the following Friday (2/18) and then they would get it painted. My husband called Todd today to check on the status. Todd was extremely, extremely rude. And, Todd still couldn't tell us when the door will be received at Metro and installed. If I were Doug Robinson (the owner), I sure wouldn't want an employee like Todd damaging the reputation of my company. As an executive in healthcare, I know how very, very important customer service is. The service we received (from all 3 people we encountered at Metro) is unacceptable. The story of the poor service we received at Metro will be told over and over again. The timeliness is also unacceptable. It will be approx. 2 months from the date we ordered the door to the day it gets installed.

I got them off the list. I was charged $100 for a visit for them to come out and trip charge my garage door. I personally think that they forgot about this project. The guy came and took all the measurements to replace the old garage door from the 30?s and it would take about 3 weeks, but I never heard from them. I called them and they told me that I was supposed to call them and follow-up with garage door. The guy was in my house and I had told him to order the garage door and it was almost 6 weeks that we did not have a garage door and in Minneapolis, with a lot of snow that could not get my car in and out.

Their service tag is a good way of promoting their business because it shows the date of their last service and has their phone number. This was the third time I've used them and they have always been prompt and they have always been able to repair it fairly quickly. They are professional. I?m happy.

They came out the next day to inspect the broken unit and sold us a new unit. The sales person was very nice cna friendly and explained the options well. The only item i didn't like was the request for prepayment and then they would instal the unit the next day. This seemed strange. We did do this and they came out on time the next day to instal the new unit. They did however not ahve the unit they sold us. The installer said they do not carry the model sold us. They did install a more expensive unit at the price we paid. The installation went well and the unit is working fine. We were offered a number of other services while they were out on the call which we did not accept. We are very happy with the unit and pleased on the timely service.

Had both a bad spring (which broke on New Years day, I was able to get someone to come out but they could only clamp the spring that day, not replace it) that I had not yet been able to have replaced when my opener failed as well. Called around 10 AM on Saturday, the tech, Randy, was here by 11:15. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the opener, replaced the springs, repaired the opener, lubricated and adjusted the door, all done in less than an hour. Good experience all around. Would definitely use again.

We had a faulty door-close sensor. The agents said they could replace either the sensors only or the sensors AND a new door opener. We opted for the latter. Everything went smoothly.
