I met with the salesman and special ordered a new quality, 24 gauge, steel door. The price was lower than other bids for 26 gauge doors. A time was scheduled after the door came in. The experienced installation person was punctual and did a fine job installing the door. It works well. The only negative was the salesman trying to sell me a more expensive insulated door for my non-heated, detached garage.

Repairman was honest. Said our mechanism was much sturdier than the plastic sold now. He advised my husband to keep what we have!

I called Metro Door and within 24 hours they had scheduled an appointment to replace a broken spring. (I had told them that this was not an emergency repair--even with a broken spring, the door still operated). Technician Dana arrived early for the appointment and was waiting for me when I arrived home. Dana quickly replaced the spring and checked/lubricated both garage doors. He was efficient, friendly and professional. I felt that I was charged a fair price for the service. I had called another garage door company the day before and had a salesman show up who falsely claimed that repairing the spring would cost about the same as installing a whole new lift system. He then tried to sell me not only a new lift system but two new garage doors. While Dana did mention that I might want to eventually replace the aging system we have, he did not try to sell me on it at this time and instead cheerfully did the repairs that I wanted done. When I do eventually replace our aging system, I will definitely call Metro Door first.

I thought they did a good job, and I have no problems with the work.

The salesman was extremely knowledgable and did not over sell. The installer did a great job and left my garage clean. There was a small dent in the bottom panel of the door and the installer did not have the right color weather stripping with him. He came out the following week and replaced the panel but did not install the weather strippping. I called that same day and someone came out the next day and installed the weather stripping. The company was apologetic and extremely responsive in a very timely manner to my phone calls. I am very happy with my new garage door. It looks great! Thank you, Metro, for the great job!

Excellent - the company provided a professional who answered my questions, did a quality service as well as punctual and reasonable price.

He did fix my garage door and I was happy about that. He was also very knowledgeable. However, he did not have any WD40 handy so he told me how to apply it myself.

Service technician was terrific--diagnosed issues and resolved them with my large/heavy wooden garage door. Customer support (who scheduled the appointment) did not meet that same standard of excellence and as a result my overall score is good rather than excellent. (Initially my call to the vendor was directed to "after hours support" with whom I made an appointment for later that week. The next day I was contacted by "regular support" who informed me that I may need to wait longer (than my scheduled appt) b/c I was using the coupon and there were restrictions. This was a bit confusing and disappointing as I had already made arrangements to be available on the appointed time. In any event, I can understand that there may be a need to batch orders so that the work can be done efficiently; however, if that is the case, it would be beneficial for both the after hours and regular support rep's to be aware of what commitments they can make.) But, as I said at the beginning, for me the most important thing to me was that when the tech got to my house, he was professional, knowledgable and efficient--i.e., everything that you could ask from a service technician.

It was a pretty uneventful service call -- the best kind. They came out, explained what was going on with our door, and we had them repair it. They were prompt, courteous, and knowledgable. The door has worked beautifully ever since. (They offered an Angie's List discount, which we took advantage of, but the regular price was quite competitive as I recall.)

When the tech showed up, he diagnosed the issues and recommended we replace the garage door opener which was what I was sort of hoping would be the case due to the age of the opener (over 15 years old and not well cared for!). We were given the tune up cost as a credit against our install of the new unit and had everything up and running in a short time. We are very satisfied with the work and would definitely recommend them again as the price and service were excellent!

Metro Garage Door was on time and did the job as advertised. They called the day after the special was purchased and came the next day. We were very pleased.

Don't remember who was out there, but was helpful in answering questions about my wooden garage door. None of the scare tactics of it needs to be replaced now, or else.

All went well. I was offered the Angie's list discount on the spot and received great service plus excellent price!

From start to finish the technician diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed the door. He arrived at the beginning of the service window I was given, which I really appreciate. He answered all my questions about what caused the problem and described yearly maintenance that I could do to avoid further problems.

Prompt scheduling. Friendly and courteous technician. Opener works great. Should have done it years ago.

The provider was courteous, prompt and helped us find the right solution to our garage door problems. Our garage door hadn't lifted properly for two years despite repeated visits from other garage door repair vendors. This vendor got it right the first time.

Overall, service was good. Service tech seemed capable, but not very friendly. He also seemed aloof when he found out it was one of those "Angie's List" coupons. A few other questions I asked him were answered but not very helpfully, like he didn't want to be bothered with nuisance questions. Admittedly, this is my subjective opinion of his response/attitude. Other than somehow having an incorrect address (he parked at next door neighbor's garage to start work there for some reason), the service performed was good and I'm satisfied. I believe I would use them again in the future, but hope to have a more personable technician.

Technician called prior to arrival, came on time and did exactly what I expected. Very personable and acted professionally.

The service rep showed up about 5 minutes before the tail end of the time promised. He quickly stared on the joband completed the tune up in about 1/2 hour

Bought this deal as part of a promotion so the price was excellent. I was able to get an appointment quickly and conveniently. And he took care of the problem with the door.

I was happy with their service. They came out right away. With the broken garage spring we could not get out.

Garage door not working properly for about 3 weeks but could not afford to have it looked at right away.Called company on 8/29/12 approximately 11:30 AM and was told that someone could come out that day after noon and before5:00 pm. I was told that someone would call me before they came so that I could expect them which was fine with me as I have2 dogs that have to be contained prior to any visits.When I had heard from no one by 4:30 PM, I called company back to inquire as to status of service call and was told "our man is on a difficult job and would not be coming and could they reschedule for next day 8/29/12." I was told I would be the first callthat day and man would be here between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM. I was not happy that they had not called me to tell me there man would not be coming.Next day 8/29/12 their man, Jonathan, showed up at approximately 8:50 AM and immediately spotted the problem and told me what the problem was and gave me an estimate before any work was done. I okayed the estimate and he immediately got towork.It took him approximately 1/2 hour to replace gear and sprocket and his estimate was right on the button.He was very professional, wasted no time and did not complain as I stood and watched him the entire time. I paid him and he left..I was charged about what I expected and was satisfied with a job well done.My only complaint was that if their man was not going to make it to the job, someone should notify the customer so they are notleft sitting and waiting for someone to show who will not be there as expected.
