Repairman called ahead to let us know when he was coming. He assessed the problem and installed new sensors. We thought we were going to need all new equipment in general, but he fixed it with the new sensors. He also fixed the remotes and gave us a new one as well. All in all, it took less than an hour. He was helpful and efficient despite the fact that it was a low, low 6 degrees and required work outside without gloves! Wish we had called them months ago-

The overall experience was very good. The salesman was on-time and very professional, and had good knowledge of the products. We decided on a model and scheduled the installation. The installation was performed on the day requested and completed promptly. The only problem we ran into was that Metro did not offer all the features of the models we would have liked (we were interested in a battery-backup for the opener, which is available from the company that made the model we installed according to the brochures Metro gave us, but their salesman said it wasn't an option for us). This is reflected in the "B" rating for quality.

It was a good experience and I would do it again.

We just bought our first home this past summer and realized the garage door was literally rotting through. After looking at Angie's List for recommendations, we decided to try out Metro Garage Door as well as look into possibilities for doing it ourselves. After the initial consult and estimate (easy scheduling and right on time!), we realized the estimate they were giving us for a double-sided steel insulated door and installation was actually beating our doing it ourselves... and they backed it up with a lifetime warranty. Sold! Our door took a few weeks to order, but once it was in, Metro called us immediately, and they had it installed the next Monday. Our installer came on the morning after our biggest winter storm in December, on a morning when it was maybe 2 degrees outside.... and finished the job in a little under 2 hours. Their work is beautiful, and we are so happy every time we drive up to the house! No one pushed anything on us that we weren't already looking at doing, and there was professionalism and efficiency all around. We would do business with Metro again in a heartbeat; we are so glad we picked them.

Excellent work with the doer quiet and smoothly operating

After pulling my car out of the garage and lowering the garage door, I noticed that the door was tilted and came to rest in an awkward manner. I could not tell what went wrong but noticed that the door was off the track in several places, rollers had fallen off, a bracket was bent and the frame holding one of the rails pulled away from the wall. Steve from Metro Garage Door arrived within the stated time frame and upon examining the situation, concluded that a cable had snapped and the second one was frayed and about to snap. He quickly secured the door and began his repairs. He said that we were very lucky that there wasn't more damage and that the door did not fall. He replaced both cables, several rollers and brackets and then thoroughly inspected and lubricated everything. Steve took the time to adjust the door travel so the closed door would be snug against the floor. He explained everything that he was doing and why and gave recommendations on how to regularly lubricated the areas that need to be maintained on a regular bases. Steve was very professional, did not rush, freely explained everything and cleaned-up after he was done. I highly recommend Metro Garage Door.

I wasn’t here when he did the work and I assume everything was done properly. It was preventative maintenance. They were responsive and professional though.

They were great. Came during the window of time I was quoted. I explained that the door is janky when it is cold, often stalling and having to be raised and lowered several times until it actually goes all the way up. The service guy did his thing, and we haven't had a problem since with the door. I don't know exactly what he did, but whatever it was, it works great now... which is the bottom line for us. Yay.

It went great from the call through the service. And he helped me syn the outside door opener with the cars.

It went very well, as described above. The entire appointment took less then 2 hours. I had taken off from work to be home, so I appreciated his punctuality.

Technician explained issues, estimated cost and quickly repaired. Felt cost was a bit high considering it just needed some adjustments. No new parts.

This was the BIGGEST RIP OFF I have ever experienced. We bought the Big Deal to rehab the garage door He was very nice and all, but he was here 10 minutes and basically greased the wheels We have had trouble with the door bouncing open and of course it was not doing it that day so we were out of luck - a total loss as far as we were concerned

The service man showed up on time and did his work very quickly. I had some questions for him about the garage door operation, he answered them but seemed in a rush. My garage door has issues working in the cold and I asked him if this tune up would help. He said it should help but once it got cold this winter the door is acting up again. Hard for me to say if the tune up and replacement of the rollers did anything.

I bought the $59 "coupon" last year, long story short - house was under construction so access to garage was bad, so I was not able to use the coupon until this year, and found it had expired. I set up an appointment with someone after hours, mentioned the coupon, then the next morning they called to clarify that they WOULD NOT do the work for the coupon value ($59), but that they would apply the coupon against their regular rate of about $150. I decided that was OK. They came out the next day which I thought was pretty quick, I was not there but they lubricated the rollers, maybe they made some adjustments- I don't know, indicated that they went thru a checklist for both of my doors, put a couple of screws thru a loose metal part, left a note that I needed "struts" (don't know what those are) and left. The doors don't seem to squeak as much and seem to work a bit better. So I'm satisfied at this time, didn't seem spectacular but then I didn't really have a particular problem either. I might use them again if I have an issue.

Very well. Everything was done as promised.

Tom Miller came out to tune up our garage door. He on-time to the minute. We couldn't have asked for anyone to be as polite and courteous as this man was. He did the job very well.

Good. Technician arrived in the stated time frame and called in advance like he said he would. He explained the problem clearly, gave me repair options, and a time frame for the repair. Repair was finished well within the time and gave me advice for future care to avoid future problems.

The installation went very well, and I was surprised there was only 1 person to do all the work. Everything works great. New springs, tracks, door, everything except a motor for the one door which I had replaced about 18 - 24 months ago. I informed him of the need for the exterior handles, and it was arranged for someone to come the next day (or 2 days later). Everything works great, looks great. I'm very pleased.

The technician arrived on time and went right to work. He gave me a list of the 23 items that he checked and recommended that I purchase a new opener because of the age of my current opener. I did not purchase a new opener but he did an excellent job on my garage door and it's been opening and closing perfectly.

Called for appt--easily made. Dana showed up as scheduled--calling first, as promised. He did a quick assessment--made a couple of recommendations, one of which I accepted. He did the work. Door is much quieter and operates much more smoothly. Very polite and easy to work with.
