We have had Metro do work on our garage doors before - I think they brought our old ones up to code a few years ago - and knew they did good work. I got the "Big Deal" offered to evaluate and tweak our garage doors. They did exactly that. It was a great price and great service.

I've used Metro Garage Door previously to fix a broken spring and was very satisfied. This time our garage door opener stopped working. I set up an appointment via email for the next morning and was called a few minutes later verifying the appointment. The serviceman came as expected the next morning. As our current garage door opener was over 10 years old, it was agreed upon it made sense to replace it rather than try to fix it. The serviceman completed the job in under an hour and went through the new features. The price was reasonable. I would have no problems recommending Metro Garage to anyone who needed garage door repairs.

The garage door broke down and they arrived the next day. Tech was personable and professional - certainly knew what to do when the problem was described. In addition to making the necessary repairs, did an inspection of all the moving parts and made recommendations.

They replaced the rollers on the garage door and fixed an unrelated problem all in less than 30 minutes. Runs great now.

Incredible! I thought my doors were quiet before. In between making the appt and the date of service our spring broke! They were there when promised, and in short order replaced the spring and did the reconditioning. Now I cannot hear this door open. I don't know what magic materials were used, but I will be scheduling the same for my other two doors shortly!!! WELL DONE! 10/2014 UPDATE: we recently had Metro return and recondition and replace springs on the remaining doors. Came when promised and executed flawlessly!!!!!

I purchased a package of service through Angies List. This covered almost all the service that was needed for repairing my two garage doors. A few extra repairs were needed that increased the total cost by about $50.

I paid for the coupon because we were having problems with our garage door. It appeared as if one of our neighbors had picked up our code for the opener and inadvertently opened it on their comings and goings. Bill came out and he was on time. I was a couple of minutes late. I produced the coupon and Bill went right to work. He examined the rollers and said that they needed replacement. He also showed me how to reprogram the garage door. Finally, he adjusted the garage door to help make it more level. He was very competent and I really appreciated his attitude. It was a "Can Do" attitude. I will gladly use them again.

I purchased a big deal from Angies List. I made an appointment the same day and a week later the work was performed. They did a great job. I was told at the time of the appoitnment that I would neeed the PO number on the day of the service. Of coarse I did not leave it at home. I called the company and they allowed me to fax over the original PO.

I purchased a coupon thru Angie's List for an overall maintenance check plus roller replacement. The garage door also had stopped working after the door became frozen to the ground. I contacted them to setup an appointment which they were happy to schedule. Everything went as expected.

The technician arrived right on time, he checked out the garage door, and discovered that the cables were rusting. He recommended that they be replaced in order to prevent a future problem. He was very quick, and efficient, and explained everything to me.

I had problems with my old garage door last winter. When it was cold, the door would only close half way, so I always had to get out of my car and push down on it to get it to close. Also, it had begun to screech quite a bit when opening and closing. The man that came to repair the door was professional and patiently answered all my questions, as well as looked at everything that concerned me. My garage door has worked as perfectly as an old garage door can ever since. It was a pleasure to deal with such a professional and worth the dollars spend.

Servceman was on time. Checked the operation of the door and supplied oil where needed. He also installed a light socket to replace the one to operate the door light. This was accomplished in a reasonable time. It was pleasant to deal with the serviceman and his company.

I called on a Thursday for garage door opener repair or replacement. They scheduled me for a Friday service call but no one showed or called. I ended up calling another company today (Saturday) and they will suggested a possible easy fix I could do myself. If that doesn't fix the issue they will be out next week.

Our experience with Metro was fantastic. Metro's technician quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem and resoresolved it with a much less expensive and simpler solution than proposed by the other company. The technician also provided me with useful advice for routine maintenance we can perform ourselves to keep the door running smoothly. I appreciated his friendliness, efficiency, professionalism, and knowledge. This was perhaps the most satisfying transaction I have had with a service provider in any field in several years.

Technician took the time to fix my problem (door didn't close properly) and performed general maintenance. He also went to some length explaining the problem to avoid re-occurrence.

If there was a grade higher than an A, that's what I would grade them. Called to see about replacing a broken spring because door would not open. Woman on phone quoted between $157-$198 to replace spring and also said they could get a service tech out to us same day. Within 2 hours, Tom arrived promptly, coached me a little on what the issue was and started working. Oh I should also note that my husband and I spend 3 hours on Sunday replacing a stripped gear in the garage door opener. Tom informed me that the reason why the gear stripped was because our spring was at the end of its life. Now it all makes sense! Tom had replaced the spring and inspected/lubricated/adjusted parts within 30 minutes and then spent a little time teaching me how to extend the life of our garage door "system" by lubricating, etc. I should also note that the cost was slightly higher than quoted because we needed some additional inspections/lubrications performed, which I was okay with. I will definitely use Metro Garage Door Co again! Also, we are considering purchasing a new garage door and door opener and Tom explained to me the best door properties that we would need for our heated, insulated garage (i.e. steel/polystyrene/steel door). We will definitely get a quote from Metro Garage Door for the new garage door and opener when we are ready!

I was very pleased with the effective and efficient way in which the job was completed.

The person who answered did not know what I was referring to, and was not very professional about it, replying (and this is verbatim) "Uhhhhh, and what coupon is that?" When I explained, she then immediately said "You have to buy that from them." I explained that I knew that, but I wanted to know their availability before I purchased it. She then gave me a helpful answer to that, but then added "but you know, the coupon ONLY covers door lubrication and rollers. Everything else is a standard full rate. If there's anything wrong with your door, parts, whatever, it would all be at the standard rate. The coupon ONLY covers the lubrication." She was going out of her way to hammer these points home, to the point where I felt like she was assuming I was trying to abuse the coupon. It was quite offputting. Finally, I asked if I schedule the appointment online after I buy the coupon or if I had to call back. She said, puzzlingly, "You'd have to call the office, but I don't know anything about it, you have to call Angie's List for that." I concluded that this company wasn't very professional in their communications, nor did they seem familiar with their own promotions, so I chose to take my business elsewhere. I'm only reviewing it because of the unusually unprofessional phone call.
