Riverside Construction of Elk River Inc

I have been renting apartments/houses for about ten years and this is the most unprofessional company I have every worked with. The actual house is a dump, the rent is EXTREMELY high for the area and they refuse to make safety repairs when requested. When I would bring a concern to the company, it would take several days to process (usually between 3 and 5) and then my request would be refused or it would be deemed "tenant responsibility". The final straw with this company was their REFUSAL to remove rodents from the basement and maintain a safe., clean property by removing moldy boxes in the basement left from previous tenants. The actually experience in the house was one disaster to the next. The water heater was not working or maintained, the gutters needed to be repaired and cleaned, and the property was not cleaned after the previous tenants left. Upon arrival there were boxes of trash, moldy food, cigarette butts in every room. When I spoke to the company about the overall cleanliness of the house, I was told it was clean, when I produced pictures I was given a $100 rebate to clean the house myself. The cleaning took my five hours. When I would speak with someone at the company over the phone about additional concerns or repairs I was accused of being "over dramatic" or asked to "just deal with it". Three months after i moved in I was sent an e-mail that said the company would no longer be providing repairs unless it was a "safety hazard". When I asked for a clarification as to what a "safety hazard" I never received a response but was told was continually told that all of my repairs were not "safety hazards". This is only one of the properties that this company manages, but if this property is ANY indication I would avoid this unprofessional company at all cost.
