PRO-TECH AUTO REPAIR

My husband used Pro Tech and said they did a fantastic job! I decided to try them for a basic oil change and light repair. They were great at communicating what was going on, if there were any other service issues and loaned me a car for the day which was really helpful! Overall great service by a local, reputable auto repair company.

Great! Had gone to another place and they couldn’t figure out where the leak was coming from. Pro-Tech found the problem right away and had my vehicle back the same day I brought it in. I would highly recommend them. I will be bringing our vehicles back here.

Very well, clean, friendly, punctual, good follow up. Very competitive pricing and very honest. Took it to another shop and they said I needed several expensive maintenance repairs. I asked about all these items - These guys looked at everything and said not all of these things were necessary They did what was necessary and saved me a lot of money. Definitely will be going back.

Unsatisfactory workmanship

I wouldn't have gone if it was expensive, I would have paid attention. they send you tones of feed back afterwards but they don't thank you very much when they are there.

I was very happy with Pro-Tech's service. I was able to schedule my appointment within a couple days of calling, received a loner car while my car was in the shop, got a thorough explanation of everything related to my vehicle/situation, and certainly felt that Tom, Dan, and Alan genuinely cared about me and my motorhome. My coupon was honored, the price was fair, and their follow-up (thank you note, thank you / check-in call, mailing list flyer, etc.) were all appreciated and demonstrative of a responsible, professional shop. I will go back when I return to MN, undoubtedly (the service I received was to get my vehicle ready for a trip to TX for the winter) and will recommend their services to others in the area looking for a reliable garage. My only suggestion would be a little more responsiveness concerning the status of the job. After dropping my vehicle off in the morning, I thought the service would be completed by the end of the same day. As it turned out, it wasn't completed until the end of the following day, and I didn't hear anything until I called the shop and inquired about things. Perhaps it was a communication issue on my end (entirely possible), and it certainly wasn't a big deal since I had a loner car (which was awesome). Establishing when customers can expect to hear from the shop is important, however, and I would suggest setting that expectation clearly.

Fast, professional, and honest!

We needed a quick turnaround time on a rear brake job (pads and rotors replaced) for our college student's '06 Honda Accord.  A local dealership quoted $529 after doing a brake inspection, and when I told them I was going to take it home and confer with my husband before having the work done, the service advisor then mentioned that, BY THE WAY, there was a caliper bracket that was seized or stuck in place, and if it broke while having the brakes done, it would need to be replaced for approximately an additional $135.
 A friend spoke highly of and had recommended Protech, and after calling around to various dealerships and shops in the area, I finally called Protech and talked to Alan.  Alan was very knowledgeable about the different materials various shops use (semi-metallic vs ceramic pads, etc), he answered a plethora of questions, informed me that they only use premium parts for their brake jobs, gave me a great quote, and said they were very busy but understood our time crunch (we needed it done the next day) and would be able to work us in.  I also mentioned to Alan what the dealership had told me about the caliper bracket being stuck.  He said that because there are ways they have to get caliper brackets "unstuck", he felt confident that they would be able to get the bracket out and clean it up without having to replace the any of hardware.
It turns out, the caliper bracket had already broken off (the Protech mechanic could visually see that this was the case before he even tried working with it), so I'm assuming that the bracket had broken during the inspection at the dealership.  Alan was able to secure the appropriate parts in a timely manner and charged us about $40 less than the dealership's quote for that portion of the job, AND... (I think maybe because he felt bad that it needed replacing after all), he offered to apply an external $50 coupon to the job (a coupon that we had not received because we were not yet customers on their mailing list).  
We brought the car in at 9am and it was done by about 1:40pm - and we were given a free loaner to boot!  In the end, we paid $415 for what would have been about a $665 job at the dealership.  Alan took the time to answer all our questions (we are people that need lots of information so we can feel good about our decisions), gave us good, accurate input, and was very pleasant to work with.  We are VERY happy new customers!!

I've been looking for a car repair/service shop I could trust and have found it with these guys.  They're personable, professional, honest, and have fair prices.  Every time I take my car in for service they check it out and let me know what I can expect in the future.  They let me know what work is needed now and what can be deferred or monitored.  The free loaners are very helpful.  
This particular job was done on time at the quoted price.  I highly recommend them.

Work was performed as indicated on estimate
It was determined that the software malfunctioned on the factory scantool used to diagnose the canister malfunction so the canister was actually intact. The problem was a gas cap that needed replacing. ProTech was up front about the error and I was not charged for the canister as the replacement was completed before the error was discovered. Very impressed with their explanation of the issue and their honesty. Will definitely go there again.

Pro-Tech is good place and has been keeping my 2000 Tahoe with over 185,000 miles serviced since it was out of warranty.
The guys take the time to listen to me and always call me with updates and estimates on anything they find.
Another very good thing they offer is a free loaner car for service appointments which is great.
In summary a great place with honest hard working team that does things right. On my last trip I had a battery that was 2 months from being out of warranty and it did not pass battery test since they installed it they gave me a new battery at no charge.

We have been using them for years and I think they are a great shop.  I like the fact that they are very honest people.  They will do the service that needs to be done but they won't try to sell additional services.  They always have someone ready to do the job. I will highly recommend them.

Our van was done sooner than expected.  They always provide very good service and offer up all options to deal with any problem

Excellent. Their diagnosis was different from the unsolicited diagnosis received from another shop. Work was less than other shop and didn't require replacing the compressor like they said it would. Another great experience with Pro-Tech. They are extremely professional in everything they do for us.

They checked and repaired all the problems promptly and properly. We are happy with their service.
