I knew the tie rods were failing - lots of rattling in the front end.  I'm a woman who knows a bit about cars, because my dad is a mechanic, so I appreciate it when mechanics don't "mansplain" things to me and try to overcharge me or sell me things I don't need.  This shop examined my car, and then the ticket writer came out to tell me about what was wrong with my car.  He began by trying to explain what a tie-rod was, and I just told him to skip it, because I knew what a tie-rod was and I had told him they were going bad on the car when I came in.  This seemed to throw him off of his routine a bit, but he recovered and told me they were going to replace one tie-rod.  I asked him to re-check the second tie-rod, because I had heard noise coming from that side, too.  He reluctantly went back out to the car, checked it, and said that it was starting to fail, too.  They replaced both tie-rods for me and did a great job.  It didn't take that long, and there are nearby coffee places and restaurants where I could wait.
The one thing that bothered me was that they didn't identify the second tie-rod problem with the first examination.  Did they "miss" it on purpose, so I would have to come back in a few weeks, and pay a little more for the two visits instead of one?  Did they assume i couldn't possibly know what was wrong with my own car because I'm a woman?  It's hard to tell.  The important thing is that I advocated for myself and they didn't belittle me or insult me -- they did good work on my car and treated me with respect, and that's sometimes difficult to find in the automotive repair industry.

They have been good. It's usually where I go locally. It's been pretty good. I have been going there for a couple of years. They are generally great, friendly and courteous. They seem to know what they are doing. They are honest with you. The personality.

The staff at Goodyear is always professional and helpful, whenever I enter their doors!

I was initially very happy with the service I had received on this service. The salesman was very conservative with me and told me that this kind of service was only needed if I was going to keep my car for a few more years. I had the shocks and struts replaced and as soon as I drove my minivan out of the parking lot there was a problem. The back of my van was rattling so much and so loud that you could barely have a conversation. I brought it back to be checked out when I had my next oil change and was told that everything was fine and that the new parts were stiff and the rest of my van was old and that was why I heard the rattling. I was not happy with that response, but continued to drive it for 5 more months. I then took it into their Eden Prairie location for an oil change and they listened to my concerns about the rattling. They found that both rear shocks were defective and that is why I had a problem from the day I drove it home! I am not happy with the way I was treated at Chanhassen. It is obvious that they either did not check out the problem for me or they are incompetent. I will continue to go elsewhere from now on.

I came in on a drop-in as my serpentine belt was smoking from wear since the A/C compressor had seized up. They got me in right away and their communication was great. They went to the efforts to call around to find reconditioned parts for me , to save me some money. They replaced my A/C compressor and serpentine belt at a very reasonable price. They were professional and courteous.

I stopped in without an appointment and they were able to help me immediately. They installed the new wipers for me and I was on my way within 20 minutes!

I am new to Minnesota and needed new tires. I went to Youngstedt's because Midas in Eden Prairie quoted me a very high estimate for tires, shocks, struts and a new tire rod. I was pleased because the manager there thought that tires and a new tire rod were all that I really needed immediately. He advised me to wait and think about the other things because they were not a necessity. I love my new tires and loved that they did not try to upsell me.

Always done on time and very cost aware, calling before they do any major or minor work. They are very friendly and believe in building a long term customer relationship. In 2011 we spent over $5000 with this business.

Power window switch went. Window was stuck wide open in December. Brought it in and they manually got the window up. Took them a couple days to get the replacement switch. When I went back in they replaced the switch in about 20 minutes. The price was fair. Good service. I will continue using them.

I like the location. They are great, courteous and helpful. They are friendly and efficient. They keep in touch on what they are doing. They let me know what is going on. They have a comfortable waiting room with TV, drinks and they know my name. They get things done quickly.

Brought my vehicle in the night before in hopes of getting it back by Noon the next day. They end up not finishing the job until 5pm the next day. Total hours billed was less than 3 hrs. You do the math. After calling me around 10am to tell me the scope of work and confirm their estimates, they said it would take a couple more hours. Was going out around noon so I called to see if they would be done. They said they were not finished and it would be a couple more hours. Was still out running around town at 3pm. They hadn't called so we swung by to see if they were done. They were not and said it would be another 45 minutes. Went home. They called 1 1/2 hrs later @ 4:30pm and said they were done. Very annoying customer service. Will give them one more try and then I am going to try to find someone else if we don't see better customer service. Additionally, they missed a broken tie rod connection on their 21 point inspection- this was discovered a few days later. Had this repaired by Tires Plus in Eden Prairie.

They've been very honest, and do a real fair assessment of what is wrong with your car. They explain what needs to be done and when it should be done. We've had one time that we had to take the car back afterwards, but they were very good about fixing the issue and didn't charge us again. They are very easy to work with.
