All went well. I, unfortunately had to point out a couple things which considering I know nothing regarding the mechanics of a garage door was a bit scary. I believe two bolts were not put back in that I believe were there originally. What is there, I think should hold though, I will ask someone else next chance I get. I would consider hiring again if the issue was a simple one or I couldn't get another company I researched.

Other than being one-half hour later (Than service window we were given), Dan did a great job replacing the garage door rollers and inspecting the doors and openers. The service was part of an Angie's list "Big Deal" We were very satisfied.

I filled out the online form at their website on the weekend. Their salesman called me on Monday and left a voice mail that they were going to swing by and take some measurements and leave me a quote. They also left me some color samples. The whole process was seamless and easy. I got a new garage door and I should have done it a long time ago - I no longer struggle with closing my garage door and it looks really nice.

They are a fabulous company always doing the best for their customers! To start, they called me to schedule the visit within a day of my purchase. Their friendly attitude and desire to get the work done as soon as possible was impressive. They even worked through problems in a smile and good humor. I left my garage door open worth the key. My neighbor closed the garage door before the service man arrived. The company called me with the problem, I gave them an entrance code. The service man came back that usage day, in the afternoon and completed the work. Since the door and opener system was 13 years old, I did expect to pay additional refurbishment fees or at least for additional parts. Again, I expected parts to be replaced. To my great surprise all of the refurbishment was completed for the set fee, no extra charges. As a double surprise, the door opening system works like new! Then, as a third surprise, the company sent me a thank you card with a significant coupon discount for a future repair. Extremely impressive company that provides the highest quality of service! I have recommended them to my family and friends!

Conformed appointment, arrived on time, did work, explained what was done.

I purchased the Deal earlier, and, while I had a call on to-do list, they called me to set up the appointment. (My browser spell-checker is broken, please escuse the errrors.) "Toby" called on the day, and said he could come earlier. That was fine by me. Replaced the rollers, lubed where necessary. I'm satisfied and would use them again. We won't know about how good the work was until some time goes by. The door seems to work fine currently.

Called Aker Doors on 4/10 to get estimate on converting to torsion springs to open my door. They gave me an estimate on the phone. I called 4/11 and requested a quote be emailed to me. They emailed me a quote immediately and the quote was $70 less than the phone quote. They did the work on 4/15. The technician Toby was here on time and got the job done in a couple hours. He also did some extra tweaking on my old track to make the door go up and down without hesitation. The door is opening and closing fine now.

All went well. Probably the best experience of all garage door companies I've used in the past.

Great! We arranged a time for them to come when no one was home. When we returned our garage door no longer squeaked and groaned.

Aker Doors Inc did a really good job and I'm really happy with the product. They were punctual. They came out and id an estimate and they were on time, they were on time when they did the job. The worker told us that it will be done by the end of the day and they were. Everything was taken care of professionally; they did a professional job.

W ent to see Mike at the store on the 3rd to see what they could do for rusted out cable fixtures. He said no problem and we made a appt. for the next day. Everything went well and the door works like a new one now. Will allways go with this company .Great people and work. .

It went very well. The service repair/installation was done on the same day as my call. The new opener works better than our old one.

I looked around for doors at all Home Depot, Loews, and Menards, and found them all to be quite comparable. The lowest cost doors looked a little shoddy, and weren't insulated, and the lowest priced insulated doors used styrofoam insulation that looked like it was pressed in rather than "foamed" in place, which made me think that they weren't as well insulated. I also understand that styrofoam is not so good in a fire, so wanted to try to avoid that. The windows in the lower cost doors had many options for size and type, but I thought the trim looked a little cheap. Higher cost doors looked better, but they were getting to be pretty costly and had to be ordered, so I decided to look at a couple of garage door companies locally to see how they could do. In talking to them on the phone it sounded like they could provide and install a door for around the same cost as I could buy one and install it myself, so my wife and I decided to go have a look at them. We stopped at Aker doors first, and we were greeted immediately on arrival by a receptionist who got us with what seemed to be an installer/sales person. (We found he knew an awful lot about doors and how they are installed,) In their showroom they had full size examples of a whole range of doors covering low cost to highest quality selections. The sales person clearly explained the differences between the doors and the significance of the differences. We ultimately selected a higher-end door and electric opener/closer, complete with insulation and even double-pane windows. The door was installed on the date and time we selected. The installer was a bit later that planned, but it didn't cause a problem for us. The installation was completed in about 4 hours on a quite cold day. As far as I can tell, the installation is perfectly done. The door is sealed up nicely, fits in the space level and plum, and operates almost soundlessly. The only concern I had with the installation is that there were a couple of screws left laying on the floor that might have caused problems had I not seen and picked them up. All in all, this was a very good experience. I think I got a great door at a reasonable price and it was certainly installed more quickly and correctly than I could have done it. It's probably the best looking door in the neighborhood. Now I have to do something about the rest of the house.

Aker Doors came when I called them and they fixed things right away. I have used them before and that has been my experience. I would definitely use them again.

I am very happy with the new garage door opener, so quiet and so smooth, with all the fancy functions on the control unit.

They were very good. They were professional and the cost was great.

Saw a coupon of theirs in Valu Pak, and wife wanted a new, quieter and modern opener so I shot them an email. Got a quote and set up a time to have the new opener installed. These guys provided a straightforward quote, answered my questions, and didn't mess around trying to upsell or bait and switch like a couple other garage door companies I had contacted. I was about disgusted with this entire industry and thought it was filled with nothing but snake oil salesman until my experience with Aker Doors. On the day of the service the technician, his name was Dan, arrived within the service window. He was very friendly gentleman and worked very efficiently all the while answering my probably dumb questions, explaining care, maintenance, and giving me tips for the care of my door too. He had the opener installed in no time it seemed, and packed my old junker opener into his vehicle and was off. It has been a couple weeks now and both my wife and I are very very happy with the Liftmaster opener we bought and even more pleased with the awesome job Aker Doors did. Every part of my experience with Aker Doors was positive. I felt like they valued me as a customer and wanted me to come back. I think I will. When I have garage door needs this will be my go to company. I highly recommend.

Technician did not arrive by the end of our service window. I called to make sure we were still on the schedule. They checked with the technician while I was still on the line and were able to tell me that he would be there in another 45 minutes. He did arrive in that new time. I explained the problems we were having and he watched the door operation He made some adjustments and tested it. He explained everything that he did and why. He lubricated the door. He showed me what maintenance we could do ourselves and how often to do it. We have not had any more problems with the door.

I was pleased with the professionalism of the service, and he didn't try to sell anything I didn't need. He even offered a couple of useful suggestions unrelated to the opener. So it was a positive experience.

Surprisingly, from the condition the broken and mangled door started out in, everything went extremely well. The serviceman performed his job in a very professional manner. And with that door you really had to know what you were doing. It looked like a jumbled mess. He fixed it promptly and I was extremely happy with his work. With that old door, I can see there will be problems in the future and I intend to use them again. He did tell me how to avoid some future problems, though, and that info was much appreciated.

on 2/24/2012 Ken from Aker Doors came out and gave us a estimate to install a new 16' steel garage door with insulation, removal of the existing door and install a new belt drive Liftmaster 3280 opener. The price seemed within reason (and we did call around) so we went ahead and scheduled. On 2/28/2012 bright and early the technician showed up and immediately went to work. He was done within approx. 2hrs and had everything cleaned up.On that day the garage door worked fine and then we started having some problems where the door would sometime go down and sometimes not. We called Service and were told the sensor eye on the bottom was out of alignment and we should go wipe the lens and put them back into alignment. So for a couple weeks we went about off and on . Today again 3/12/12 we called and were told a technician would come out, however if the sensor is the problem there will be a charge, because thats not covered in the warranty. I just spent a hour with the sensors. I had to push the one side to get it to stay lit,then I ran the garage door 3 times and guess what ,the third time same thing, the door would not come down. So someone will be out this afternoon and we will see what we are told. By the way on the bottom of the sales order it says " All service, labor and parts are guaranteed for (30) days from date of service". If you have a new opener installed and they snap the sensor lights on to the rails which the door runs on please make sure that they put bolts thru the rail holding the sensor so that it doesn't move when the door goes up and down. That took care of the problem and I am not sure why it was not done when installed. But it is taken care of and no charge since it was not that the sensor light was just out of line.

He was prompt, friendly, got the door fixed quickly.
