Very good design collaboration with Rachel in the studio and materials and pricing were adjusted to fit our budget. Waited a little while to get started but this was an indicator of how busy KDI are rather than any issue on their part. Greg kicked off the project and started by protecting the carpets and parts of the house where the contractors were using. Scott managed most of the project and he owned it as if it were his own - he was respectful of our home, always consultative and patient and very willing to listen and go the extra mile. Big challenging project which they all pulled off well ; to time and budget and when they left the house, Scott made sure that the place was as clean and tidy as they found it. We'll have KDI quote our kitchen next and going into that project we will know that we have a worthy contractor to carry out the work. Expensive BUT ... great quality craftsmanship and tip top customer service. Highly recommended.

UPDATE: This is an update from work completed in 2011. Based on that experience I gave them a D, but after 5 years I need to upgrade to an F. Why one might ask. Recently, the stove top I had installed 5 years ago by KDI stopped working. I purchased a new stove top and when installers came to install they uncovered the fact that the electrical that KDI routed for the 220 line was not up to code. The receptacle boxes should be metal, they installed plastic. So for 5 years I have had a potential fire risk behind my oven and stove. This has been a mistake that keeps on giving.

The service with KDI Kitchen and Bath was very good. We had some problems with a couple of workers, they weren't showing up on time. They were late coming and did part of the work and would leave for a couple of hours and then come back. I complained to the company, in fact they left work and said your husband can finish the rest. I was using my existing kitchen counter and as they were taking it off they cracked my kitchen counter and they cracked my sink. It's called Hi Mac and they took some gray/black looking caulk and caulked the edge of it and stuck the sink back up with a board and it looked terrible. I just started crying because I was paying all this money to have my kitchen done and my sink looked like it needed to be redone because it's supposed to be smooth where you can't tell where the sink ends and the counter begins. They left work for my husband to do and we weren't sure how to fix it because the new cabinets were a little bit shorter than the existing ones and you could see the sub floor. They had scratched a couple of cabinets, that part of it was awful. After I called the owner of the company actually came out, it only took a couple of phone calls and he came in and I showed him everything that went on and he went, Oh my God! No way. He kept shaking his head. Within two days they had two new workers out here, they took my Hi Mac countertop out of the house, took it back to their company, completely refinished it. They took all the caulking that the other people put on and cleaned it off and put new adhesive and sanded it down, you can't even tell that anything happened to it. They took some cabinets out that were put in wrong, they actually took out every single cabinet that was on the floor. They completely redid them because the other gentleman put my dishwasher in crooked and it wasn't level. They redid everything, fixed the area where they said my husband could finish the job and made the kitchen look the way it was supposed to look. I am going to use them again.

The demolition began June 2,2011. In a weeks time the bathroom was gutted and some plumbing was done.  But because we had purchased a kohler double hand held shower the said they needed to call in a master plumber.Well here we go.Everyday was a challenge of some sort.  I would be waiting for a contractor to show up and they would not show. How frustrating!!! June 15 the tile guys came out to install tile, but couldn't because there was still drywall up and it had to be removed. It's like the right hand didn;t know what the left hand was doing. My bathroom is still an empty shell.Into our 3rd week June 22 2011 the tile guys are back, ready to tile and then find out we don't have the right "bull nose" plus they began tiling but the tiles were going vertically instead of horizontally according to blue print which was never given to them.  Is this how jobs are run?   I had to be there every step of the way.June 24th the rest of the dry wall was in place.  Painting was to begin the next day and then our tile was to be laid the next day after that.  Cabinets arrived 6/2911, but the plumbing has to be moved, was installed wrong because there was no blueprint again. It has been 4 weeks and I have a partial shower w tiled floor, painted walls and nothing else. June 30th cabinets are installed, but again we have a problem with the one cabinet it is too wide, so they have to take it back to the shop and have it cut to fit.!!!!!!!!So finally July 1st cabinet installed, next dryer vent to be installed, completed July 2nd.  Electrician hooked up lights and ground fault July 5th.  After installing tiles, the celing was way off and another ceiling had to be installed. Another setback!!!!!!! July 7th dry wall up and sanding begins on the ceiling, dust everywhere. July 11th the plumber was supposed to be back never showed up.  July 12 crown molding put up and repairs to the knicked cabinets was done. I just want this job done and my home to myself.!!!!!! Another problem with the shower tiles, Plumber could not install the shower jets cause the tiles were interferring with the jets, they needed to be cut, another mess.  July 25th we had to have some tiles repaired and replaced.  They had cracked some and tried to cover it up with silicone.  If I hadn't gone in the shower to wipe it down from all the dust I would have never noticed and they didn't say a word.  Just goes to show you the workmanship involved.  This will be it for we are leaving for vacation and my bathroom is still not complete, now day 43!!!!!!! Back from vacation Aug 15 work completed but not fully satisfied, but just want them the h*** out of here.  Two more floor tiles were cracked and will not pay final installment until our issues are resolved.  Paid our bill in full, then a month later hit us with another bill requesting an additional 825.00!!!  None of this was in writing and when we hab a problem and called said they would not come out until bill was pd.  I would not recommend this co to anyone.  Do your homework and check out other reputiable companies.  Needless to say we are going to court over this last bill we were not aware of.  Very disappointed!!!!!!

Completely Unprofessional and unorganized.  No one talked to each other and no one follows up.  We bought a house and gutted the kitchen.  Found Waypoint cabinets from KDI that were in our price range.  From the beginning we questioned the professionalism of the staff.  Ended up speaking to the owner after we were called back twice for wrong order and measurements.  The salesman talked us into a countertop that we later found out would not work with the apron sink we purchased.  We called them to inform them that the counter would not work.  The owner came back out to the house to measure and assure us that we wouldn't have any other issues.  The day of the delivery the driver informed us that he received an email from the KDI staff of back ordered items.  No one ever called to let us know.  We contacted the staff and the owner with no resolve.  Asked 4 times for a corrected invoice from staff and never received.

Bad from the start. The salesman advised me in the beginning that many things where included in the quoute, like soft closes only to find out later that they were not. From the beginning they showed up late and started the job backwards. They were ready to remove and install the cabinets on day one, without realizing that the floor was being removed and replaced and that plumbing had to be removed. The guy was installing upper cabinets when I asked about the flooring and he said he had no idea and this was pretty much the whole experience. Several time they installed things incorrectly and I had to have them fix or change it. Someone would come in and make an excuse saying that this person or that person did not know what they were doing. Very unprofessional. I was told the job would take 3 to 4 weeks it took 2 and half months ( started the end of June and finished beginning of September ) and I had to babysit the whole time pointing out every little detail to make sure that I got what I had asked for. It looks good in the end, but not really worth all the problems and delays or headaches. In good conscience I can not recommend this company. I waited a year to write review so I made sure I could give an objective review without anger.
Problems: 1. Did not start on time and took 6 to 7 weeks longer then advised. 2. I was told cabinets were stock items, which was not true, 3 to 4 weeks to order3. I was told soft closes were included, which was not true. 4. Workers did not know what the job was, had cabinet guys trying to install cabinets before the flooring, electrical and plumbing issues were completed. 5. Installer installed several cabinets wrong and it had to be redone. 6. They never started any work until 10 to 11 am and would leave early.7. Installer would show up to do something then leave saying he did not have a tool needed would not return for several days. 8. I ended up dealing with 2 different installers, two different plumbers, two different tile guys, to different electricians, a salesman, a project manager, and an owner. All telling me something different .9. I was advised a double sink would fit, it would not so the quartz counter was measured and cut wrong so had to be redone. 10. I had to request that they install soft closes for doors and drawers at least 5 times. Still never got the closed for the drawers. 11. Blacksplash looks like a DIY job. They do not know how to install high end glass tiles in a straight line.12. Plumblilng leaked.        and on and on.......
