In April, I called JR Griffin Painting in response to an ad placed in a monthly advertising circular. Jim Griffin arrived on time to look at the job and give me a quote. The quote was for painting only the walls and ceilings, no doors or moldings, as I was replacing them myself. Jim said he could do this in one day. I also received several quotes from highly rated Angie's List painters who all said it would be a two day job and their quotes were much higher. Also, Jim was the only painting contractor to give me a quote on the spot. All the other contractors had to take the information back to the office to "work on the quotes" and email it to me, which sometime took a week or two. I don't want to knock the other contractors, I'm sure they are very good at what they do, but I got the sense that they felt this was a job that was too small and had to make it worth their while with the high quotes. In September, I call Jim back to schedule the work and he honored the April quote and set a date. I can't personally tell you how the job went because I was at work that day. However, my wife was home and said Jim and another painter arrived on time, at 9:00 am, and were very nice. By 4:00 pm, they were done. Two coats of paint, three different colors and it looks fantastic. Jim Griffin is punctual and professional and I appreciated the fact that he always returned my calls in a timely manner and was willing to take on a small job. I would not hesitate to use JR Griffin again if the need arises and would recommend him to friends.

I got 3 quotes for the job. Jim's quote was in the middle and close to the best price. I decided to go with him because his company has a great rating from the BBB and I felt that he paid great attention to detail, which you want from a painter. It took 2 guys roughly a week to paint nearly an entire 3300sqft house (interior) in about a week. We had not moved in yet - so it was convenient to have it all done before moving. They left the place pretty clean as well. I would highly recommend hiring Griffin Painting for any interior painting job. I plan to have them back to do our kitchen and basement once we finish a remodel. He is always punctual and is a friendly, honest person to work with.
