Description of Work: Over a year later, I am still getting emails to write a review. |Dr. Sweep cancelled the first time and when they came by a second time, he said he would have to charge extra because the house was over 2500 sq.ft. I explained to him and to the person taking my call when I made the appointment, that my house was under 2500 sq. ft. He still did not believe me, but he said since I only had two gutter runs, (one in front of the house and one in the back), that he would let it slide, and do it for the price quoted. (My house is 2180 sq. ft......really). This issue seemed to set the tone for the rest of the visit, because he didn't seem too pleased, was there for about 10 minutes, and left. |Not sure if he really did anything in that timeframe. |(There are Realty websites, (Zillow.com is one that I have used), that supply you with information like square footage, etc., for most homes in the area. Good tool to use before going on future jobs.)

Description of Work: Dr. Sweep came in on time and were very professional. They did a chimney cleaning and inspection. They protected the carpet and put up all of the necessary covers around my fire place. I would recommend this company to a friend. They went up on the roof from the outside and inspected the chimney cap and the flute as well as the inside of the fireplace.They do good work!

Description of Work: Cleaning of chimney. The person that came out was very knowledgeable and gave us recommendations on where to go for firewood, fireplace accessories, etc.

Description of Work: There was confusion about the appointment, twice, but when they did get here, they did a fine job.

Description of Work: The technician showed up was on time, knew what he was doing and did a good job. It was too cold and snowy to do any outside chimney inspection thoroughly, which I think was part of the service, but he fixed all our problems efficiently and at the price agreed upon.

Description of Work: They cleaned my dryer vent, but didn't have the correct equipment with them to be flexible enough to get all the way through the vent. They were courteous and on time.

Description of Work: The service was performed to my expectation - the tech missed a gutter and was very willing to loop back and clean it. My C rating for responsiveness results from the fact that I booked this service in November and it was not completed until the last day of March due to cold temps - understandable, but there was no communication whatsoever from Mr Sweep on this topic - I had to chase them down in March to get on the schedule. Nonetheless, I will call them next season - a little earlier than November!

Description of Work: We purchased the Big Deal to have our fireplace and chimney checked after moving into a new house. We were completely unimpressed with the service offered. We have a gas fireplace and all they did was turn it on and off. They only cleaned out two feet of the chimney and there was no inspection whatsoever. I would not recommend them or use this company again.

Description of Work: Dr. Sweep checked everything from the top of the chimney to gas connection in the basement. They reset all the logs, cleaned everything (including the glass!). As this is a new home to us, they made me feel safe using the gas fireplace during this long cold winter. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: they were in and out; did a great job; no mess at all, and our fireplace logs hadn't ever been cleaned!! The fireplace looks great. I had a coupon, but the price I think was around $200?

Description of Work: I used the AL deal to have our gas fireplace cleaned and inspected. The gentleman that came out was extremely professional, explaining what he was seeing and doing. He went through the whole system and made sure everything was working. He not only cleaned, but added some rocks and ash material to help with the burn and the look. He took the time to look at the fire from all angles and ensure it was visually pleasing. He was not in a rush to get out and onto the next job. He made sure it was done right.
