Went very well. He had the wrong cap and had to go back for the right one, apologized and said he may not get back that day, but he did (we're about 25 mi.away) Very professional - would recommend.

Company responded to my e-mail immediately. An appointment was set up. Appointment was confirmed day before. Serviceman, Joe, called within an hour before he arrived. He explained the problem - safety was shutting off because logs were not placed properly. He checked it all out thoroughly. There is a slight chance that it may need one part in the future, but everything is working well now. Joe put the part # on the invoice. If I call in the future with a problem the company will be able to bring the part the first time they come. "I don't want to order something you don't need," he said. Excellent service!!

The day before the service was to be performed. I had a confirmation call from Mr. Sweep, which I appreciated. Our appointment time range was from 9:00-10:00 a.m. At 9:45 I had a call from Vince, saying he was running a little late & would arrive around 10:15-10:20. I appreciated the call, and he arrived when he said he would. He completed the job in about 45 minutes. He was very pleasant and professional. I would use this company again.

Overall it was a very good experience. Bill was very helpful and explained what was needed and what was working fine. And Jaime at the office was great. Very nice people to work with and I highly recommend them.

Service was expected between 3-5pm. Arrived between those hours. Introduced himself and was friendly. Since it was gutter cleaning, when he was finished with the back, I went out to see if the 'debris' was cleaned up or not. It was not. There was debris, all over, which I expected, however it was also on my covered back porch. I got the broom and cleaned that up. WHen he was finished, he rang the bell and wanted me to complete a 'customer survey' immediately. At this point, I felt that I should be able to mail, and after a litte bit of "its really short, can't you do it now", he agreed to the mailing. He then wanted payment, and when I said "excuse me - you want payment?" He turned the 'invoice to me and said "it says right here, $95 due". I said that it was prepaid, thru Angie's List, and he looked again and said it says" $95 due. Oh, wait, I see it. Ok thank you" and turned and went to his van. My front porch also had debris, so I went and got the broom. He was still outside his van as I walked onto the porch and started sweepiing. He said," Oh, sorry about that", and got into his van. I understand that gutters have all kinds of junk that comes out when cleaned, however, I would have expected him to "blow" off the porch as he was walking by to put his blower away and unplug the device. The back porch, not a big deal, but the front, it is. It would have been so easy, since he had to walk by the porch to put his tools away to give it a quick swipe with the blower. Update - I did not drive anywhere until the next day - it would have been so nice if he had asked me to move my truck - debris all over it - leaves, branches, chunks of whatever - not happy

The men who did the inspection were very professional when inspecting my chimney from the inside. But, were not very clear on how Angie's List Specials were priced. Tried to bill me for an inspection and a chimney cap. So, I had to look up online the "Special" that Angie's List had with this company as the listed provider. They did put a chimney cap on in a timely manner. But, I was just discouraged that I had to prove that the $149.00 was the only cost I was responsible for. All in all they were professional in their work. Gave me a clean bill of health for my chimney except for some tuck pointing that was needed to be done in the future. But, it would be nice if their were knowledgable in the "special deals" through Angie's List especially when they were the listed provider.

I used them through one of the special offers of Angie's List that was e-mailed to me and there was a 50 percent discount. I like Angie's List and figured that I could trust their judgment if they were going to use this vendor for a special like this. I didn't shop around. I did look around to see if there were any negative comments on them but there was nothing. I was happy that they did a good job and I certainly needed the service. They were on time and did everything they said they were going to do. They had a guy come over to look at the house just to get an idea of what work was involved. They came back a week later and actually did the work. The gentleman that did the work was very congenial and he was here for a couple of hours. It was hard and dangerous about what they actually did because they did some kind of treatment on the tiles to get rid of the green moss. I have a very heavily wooded area around my house and have leaves falling on the roof and moss growing on the tiles and that is one of the reasons why I wanted to have the work done. They did get rid of a lot of moss and that made me happy. I got a good price.

Had all 3 chimneys cleaned and dampers replaced. Vince was great and will use Dr Sweep again.He was punctual and very informative.

He performed his work and cleaned up afterward. We were very pleased and would call Dr. Sweep again next year.

Everything went as well as we expected. He came, he cleaned, and he left. We couldn't have asked for more, and wouldn't accepted anything less.

The technician was prompt and efficient and cleaned up after himself when we had the chimney cleaned. He left an estimate of needed repairs including a damaged tile, replace a wash collar and a new cap. The negative was the reek of cigarette smoke from the technician. I would have preferred not to have a smokey smell in my home. He accidentally left off the cap to keep animals out and had to return. We were given free sealing of our bricks for the mistake. We decided to go ahead with the repairs and a different technician did the work. He was prompt, but realized he did not have the required chimney cap. It resulted in a half hour delay while he went to buy one. He returned worked until the job was completed. I am satisfied with the work and would use them again.

The technician arrived late, but he called in advance to let us know he was running behind. He was very friendly and polite. When he inspected our chimney he told us it was actually pretty clean; as it turns out, if you burn pressed wood logs, they don't create much creosote (also, we only burn about five fires a year). We had him clean the chimney anyway, and he told us we probably wouldn't need to have it cleaned for another 15 years or so, which was nice to hear. He cleaned up the floor area before he left.

The service man that showed up was prompt, knew I had another appointment at 12:45 and on TOP of that I had a phone interview while he was there. I only mentioned it in passing to him as I left him to his job while I was working from home myself. I completed my phone interview, and a few minutes later he asked..."is it okay to turn on the vacuum now"? HOW thoughtful! I never even considered that during my interview he would have to make any noise! It would have been a problem for sure since I was on a corded phone. He was so considerate to even think that far ahead! PLUS...he was extremely professional, efficient and CLEAN. We have a 2 year old that has asthma and allergies. He noticed the toys and took extra care to not create a dusty mess from the fireplace cleaning. You'd never even know that they were there except the fireplace was sparkling! He even cleaned the glass doors and repaired the old one that never closed correctly. We planned to get new, but the thoughfulness, was above and beyond expectations and I will definitely be back, and will recommend them to anyone I know with a "real" fireplace. Thanks so much!

The technician was very nice and professional. The work was clean and he provided some suggestions for improvement, but didn't push anything. He also told us that if we use them again, we will get a discount for being a repeat customer.

He laid down covers to protect carpeting, he checked the interior and exterior on the roof. He was thorough and efficient. He did a great job cleaning. I would definately use them again.

I liked them. They cleaned two chimneys. The gentleman was very nice. He spent a lot of time with me. We talked about woodstoves. He recommended better chimney caps that we did not pursue. The one weird thing is that I wanted pricing on woodstoves that they did not give me. I even emailed them about it and never heard back.

They came out and told me that I some bricks in my fireplace needed to be replaced. The guy that they sent out here didn’t even know what work needed to be done. The report just said to replace cracked bricks and he didn’t know what to replace. He thought that it was on the outside and I thought that it was on the inside. So he first went and put on the chimney cover. Then he comes down and told me that I owe him $79 because he cracked something when he went to replace it. I didn’t agree. I called his manager and told him about this. I showed him where I thought the bricks needed to be replaced. He was just gone and didn’t even tell me where he was going. I called the company and they told me that he had gone to get the bricks. He came back and replaced the bricks. After he left I noticed that a brick underneath was now cracked. He did seal that with mortar. Clearly it was not his job and I am not sure if my fireplace is safe to use. I am going to call another company to check it. I was very unhappy with them. They did say that they would do something to make their customer happy. He was personally good to deal with, but he didn’t have a clue what to do.

Things went well from my point of view. The worker was pleasant and professional. He gave us an approximate time table. When the removal of the old concrete presented an unexpected issue, he did show us show us that the footing was too soft and spongy to compact. He had to add stones to stabilize the footing prior to placing new concrete. He replaced all broken brick from face of the porch, and tuckpointed all joints. He replaced new concrete. He secured the area, and removed all debris. He returned the following day to remove the forms, and installed new pre-fab concrete step. He let us know that the job was completed. We looked at the completed job and were very satisfied. He was paid, and left the home.

Estimate was provided in a timely fashion. The office staff was always calling to keep me updated. The installation went smoothly and quickly. The only issue was a scheduling issue that caused the installation to be pushed back a few days. I guess the part wasn't finished in time. Unfortunately, they didn't call until that morning with the news, so I had already taken the afternoon off of work. Other than this, great work and great job.

Great company, very glad I chose Dr. Sweep to do our chimney work. They stand out from other companies in professionalism and customer focus, and the work is high quality. I sourced a lot of companies for this job and something not to overlook is that Dr. Sweep answers their phones. When you have questions on a large job it's appreciated to speak with someone. I understand it's a busy industry and you can't really take calls while on top of a chimney. But, much time was lost with other companies leaving a voice mail and finding time to connect in order to discuss the job or ask questions. With Dr. Sweep I was able to ask a question knowing that if the answer wasn't known right there, the right person would be contacted to get the answer. We had our chimney relined with stainless steel and installed a wood burning fireplace insert. I was well researched on options and best practices and had a few specific requirements. Some companies would not entertain the specifics, yet Dr. Sweep had no problem working those into the job. Customer focus is important for this kind of work. We've been using the fireplace for about 5 weeks and it performs beyond expectations. I knew it was quality work while watching the installation, but the best confirmation is experience using the system. Could not have asked for better.

This was an extremely hard job. I have a Victorian home that is over a 100 years old. The chimney when built had three different size flue liners in it, and two angle joints. One of the flue liner had broken and partially blocked the chimney. My son and I had tried for three week ends to put a new liner in, but were unsuccessful. Dean was able to overcome all the obstacles and install the new liner in three hours. When it comes to anything involving chimneys call Dr. Sweep first. You'll save your self a lot of aggravation and stress.
