Overall it was very smooth. It was easy to contact them. The only negative was that they had to come back a second time with a taller ladder.

Ok but they couldn't finish the job as I had a problem with my igniter. The person they sent out was bottom of the totum pole when it came to knowing anything about solving the problem. He wasn't sure how to complete the cleaning since the fireplace was turning off. They later sent their "repair" person out and he thought it was the gas flow that you control from the floor key mount. I did not have it fixed that day, and found out later it was the igniter . He did finish the cleaning and replacing of stones/vermiculite. If my fireplace was working correctly i am sure that the serviceon the cleaning would have been fine.

The technician was prompt, called when he was on his way and professional. He took great pains not to make any mess inside my home and since he was cleaning my fireplace as well as inspecting everything, that was a big deal. He pointed out some damage in the back of the fire pit and recommended a reasonably priced repair.

I called because I could not get the pilot light lit and also wanted to get a check up on my gas fireplace. The service was professional and the service man made sure to keep everything covered and clean. He removed the logs, cleared out the sand and embers material and replaced both. He had made sure that everything was in working order before he left. He did an excellent job.

Service person was professional and pleasant. He explained what he was doing and his findings. I would use this organization again in the future.

Ray was professional, cordial and did a great job. There was no mess left behind and he was very thorough in both the cleaning and the installation of the damper. Of course, we shook hands with the "chimney sweep" because, as everyone knows, that brings good luck. I obtained a coupon on Angie's list for the $199.00 chimney cleaning and paid $149.00 for that. The new damper was $510.00, which I paid by credit card. Overall, it was a good experience and I can now use my fireplace knowing it is safe AND I no longer have to struggle with the flue.

My fireplace is an enclosed gas unit and the tech that came out wasn't entirely sure how to remove the glass and clean it (I don't think he'd ever done one like that before). It's not his fault or lack of skill; I guess I just never thought about it when I purchased the deal. He was a very courteous, nice young man. He wore booties in and out of the house. But he just wasn't quite sure how to deal the with the fireplace. He attempted to clean it as best as he knew how to, but didn't have anything to clean the glass front. I would consider using them in the future if I knew for certain that someone there knew how to clean my unit.

The service went very well. We have a natural fireplace that we use often in the fall and winter. Dr. Sweep arrived on time, did a thorough inspection and cleaning of the chimney. The service is what we expected. He was very friendly and did a good job with the cleaning. We would use their service again.

We were not overly happy with them. It was a house we were not living in, we did not have a key to the gas fireplace, and surprisingly the worker did not have a key. He was unable to complete the work as prescribed, we called them to come back, they never called us back, and they never came back. We had to employee another company. They were checking to see if the fireplace worked. They were not putting in new logs for us. They were never able to turn the fireplace on. They did clean it as prescribed but they never turned it on so that we could see if the fireplace worked. They promised to call back and to come back and they did not. It was a good price, it was 99 dollars and it would have been an excellent price if the job had been completed. I think what they did was fine. They did check to see if the fireplace itself was okay. Initially it was fine. They came when they said. But, after they left, we never heard from them again, until we called them and they were supposed to call us back and did not and they did not complete the job. They did come when the appointment time was. Punctuality when coming for the initial appointment and no punctuality after they left. I would not use them in the future.

This was some time ago, and I'm sorry I don't properly remember all the specifics. Hired them to clean the gutters and fireplace. I guess they cleaned the gutters, but I was not able to check. They cleaned the fireplace, and inspected the chimney. The metal "roof" on the chimney had blown off in a storm, and I asked them to estimate replacing that. They said we needed to repair the cement cap on the chimney for $450. In a moment of weakness, I told them to go ahead, without getting a second opinion or another estimate. In retrospect, I don't know if the repair was necessary, and the price seems high. They did replace the metal roof. There was a small gas burner in the fire place, used to start wood fires. The valve was frozen and we asked them to repair or replace it. Cost for the new valve (part only) was $150, which again seems high. It took almost two weeks to get the part. While the technician was replacing the valve, my wife asked if they could install a gas log. (I was not there at the time.) He said yes, and eventually brought and installed a new one. We were not offered a selection of gas logs, just take what we give you. Our fault for going along with that, but the unit he installed has an amazingly noisy pilot burner that looks and sounds like an acetylene torch, instead of the candle flame that we have since found is normal. The charge for the gas log was $750. I don't know why my wife went along with this, as she is usually a tough shopper. The technician had some difficulty installing the gas log and getting it to work properly. The procedure for re-lighting the pilot (I've already had to do it once) is not obvious, and he did not leave the instruction booklet that must have come with the log. (Although he did show me how to do it.) Nor did we get any paperwork (warranty, etc.) from the manufacturer. Dr Sweep has not responded to a telephone request for the instruction book. I'm wondering if they sold us a used, or demo unit. Otherwise I don't understand why it would not have come with some documentation. Overall there was a lot of upselling, their charges seem higher than they should have been, and we're left with a gas log that is noisy when it's turned off, and must be burning a lot of gas. We should have been more assertive about the pricing, but we were distracted by a family problem and just wanted to get it over with. The whole process left me with a bad feeling, and I WON'T use them again.

The service technician, Connor Liedal was professional and efficient. He was careful not to leave a mess. He left my home just as he had found it. I was quite pleased with his work.

He arrved later than he said he would, but was very professional and did a great job.
