Went well. He said we didn't need his service and told us to request a refund. I like honest people

Scheduled the Big Deal gutter cleaning service as well as cleaning of wood stove chimney insert. Gals I spoke with were pleasant. Service not performed by Mr. Sweep. Crew came out but didn't come to door due to weather being below freezing and slight dusting of snow on roof. Understandable to not do job, but my husband wanted to ask crew about wood stove insert cleaning procedure and had waited home to talk with them. Husband decided to clean gutters himself due to weather predicted for week.

I still want the work done!

They came out and inspected and cleaned my chimney and did what i thought was a good job. I called them back to schedule an appointment for the work they said I needed done based on their inspection and they told me that the estimate I was provided by their company was no good because they had sent out a temp employee to perform my cleaning and inspection. So they would need to come back out and do a new estimate. I will not be working with them again.

Went well thank you. It was a service for wood burning fireplace, and not gas.

It was mainly okay. They had made some recommendations for future work. We had an appointment scheduled and the day came and went and they didn't call me and so I ended up having to call them and they had somehow misplaced my appointment. But, they scheduled it for the following week. I had a different experience from the office to the person that actually came out to my house.

Overall, the job was satisfactory. On time, polite, provided additional information on replacing glass doors, and he cleaned up after himself. The clean job on the inside of the fireplace could have been a little better, but nothing major and we are satisfied customers that would use them again.

On November 1st during the 'Halloween Winds" the entire chase cover, chimney cap and some of the internal flue piping came flying off the top of the chimney plummeting 2 1/2 stories down to the ground. Had it been the night before during Trick or Treating, someone could have been killed! We contacted the owner John White who came out that evening to take a look at it; he stated that it was a 's*** job' performed by his technician Connor and that he would 'personally make sure that this was taken care of' and that he would see us on Tuesday, November 5th with a new chase cover and chimney cap. The installation was scheduled and re-scheduled 6 times by Dr. Sweep with a variety of excuses each time. Yesterday, after staying home from work for the 3rd day this week to wait for them, we finally reached John by phone again and demanded that he get the job done. We have been waiting for 3 weeks with a boarded up, non-working fireplace and we felt we had been patient long enough! John began raising his voice and became extremely billigerant culminating in our final conversation where he stated "I am sick of this s***, take me to court" and then he hung up! Needless to say, we paid $800.00 for a chase cover and chimney cap that we no longer have due to the fact that he picked up those pieces as well as several other internal pieces that came loose when the chase cover flew off! And can I add that once the chase cover was on the ground, we noted that the only thing the technician did to secure the cap to the chimney was to put on ONE screw! No adhesive, the chase cover had been hacked up with tin snips because it was measured wrong and the chimney cap was siliconed excessively to prevent further leaks! It was THEE worst job, I have ever seen! Following Dr. Sweep's owner, John White's lead - we realized that they were not coming back and called another chimney company, they were very nice, listened to our dilemma and recommended that we actually contact our insurance company due to the fact that if internal pieces had been displaced in the main chimney flue that we most likely 'have a big problem'. This morning a general contractor (sent by our insurance agent) arrived to access the damage and OH MY is their damage! I DO NOT recommend using Dr. Sweep AT ALL! Again, the owner told us, the paying customer that he was "sick of this s*** and to take me to court"! Is that someone YOU would like to do business with?!?! Again, we are out $800.00 and have a far WORSE situation than when they first came out to quote! We have been in contact with the Better Business Bureau, our insurance agent, have told our story on facebook and are now here with a friendly warning....do not use Dr. Sweep! They are horrific!

The guy came out and quoted me $425.00 to seal the chimney and put a cap on it. He told me I didn't even need the sealing and that it looked just fine even though he didn't actually go up and look at it. CHI,(Certified Home Improvement), came out and told me it was definitely leaking and needed to be resealed. They came out and put a cap on, sealed the chimney, replaced a vent pipe and even sealed the mount for the electric cable pipe for $375.00. I know for a fact it was leaking by the way.

Purchased deal on Tuesday. Despite a query from Angie's List asking if I had heard from them on Thursday, I have still not heard from them. We are one week later and still have not been contacted even though they have my money. I will find another vendor who at least contacts people when they have their money to follow up even when they are busy. If this is the way they handle their business, I do not want them in my home with something of potential danger. NO CONTACT FROM SELLER!

They even installed a chimney cap which was not included in the price.

I really cannot judge the quality of the chimney sweep service but I saw lots of soot coming out. I graded professionalism low because they parked in front of my driveway and one of the persons dumped the contents of a soft drink container on the lawn. Maybe it was just water, I couldn't tell, but still is not professional conduct.

They did a very good job. Their work was of high quality. They came out and did an accurate estimate and they completed the work as they have estimated it. I would use them again for other services.

It was good. They just did a simple chimney sweep. They came out about November the 1st to do the work and I paid about $74 in total. I thought they were very good, they showed up on time, they honored the price off Angie's List and they really didn't find any other service that I didn't really need.

The 2-man crew arrived promptly and immediately went to work servicing our gas fireplace. Since we recently moved into the home with an existing fireplace, they answered all our operational questions and explained many details about the expectations and care of a gas fireplace. When we need this type of service again we will not hesitate to contact Dr. Sweep. The "Big Deal" offer was very appealing!

I was expecting more. I thought that they will inspect the caps and sweep the whole chimney. He visually looked from the bottom up and said it all looks clean and no need to sweep it.

The service was great, the fireplace was spotless as was the surrounding area.

Made Appointment waited all day made several phone calls and about 5 P.M. was told no one was coming. Was informed Ray would come in the afternoon, had moved everything in my living room to make room for work to be done at my fireplace. The people on the telephone were very nice and polite.

First time, the worker show up and said his truck is broken without ladder to reach the roof. I call office to reschedule, she found worker inside the company and said the worker can do the work on Thursday afternoon between 2:00pm and5:pm. Since I did not received phone call from worker until 4:00pm. I called company office to check if worker will show to do the repair work, The office told me she will help me to check and call me back . I did not receive phone on that day. I called back to office on second day, she contact to the worker and call me back explain the reason and reschedule to Saturday afternoon. The worker miss the schedule again with any phone call to tell me.

Had to return the next day because he needed a longer ladder.

I was quoted $70.00 by the home office for an inspection and a total of $238.00 if the (2) flues needing cleaning. Conner came out and did an inspection. Stated that the flues were in good shape and said a cleaning was not necessary. Showed me pictures of the flues from the rooftop. Gave me a written estimate of a couple of improvements to be made but nothing major. Conner's honesty and professionalism is an outstanding asset to Dr. Sweep. An honest service man and honest company are few and far between these days. I would use Dr. Sweep again in a heartbeat.

Very prompt. Rocks were removed but were not cleaned. Was told to boil the rocks to get them cleaned. Nothing was cleaned in the fireplace. Rocks were re-stacked in the fireplace and I was sold additional rocks. | |The fireplace was turned on but that was about it. | |I am not sure what the 26 point inspection was supposed to cover but I was in the room the entire time and, unless I missed something, did not see this inspection occurring.

Dean replaced the gas fireplace screen that the birds had damaged. He was prompt and did a great job. He is very knowledgeable and has great skills. I will definitely use this firm again. I called Dr Flue for an estimate and they quoted $295 which is almost three times the price!!!

The service was very good and the technician also provided and additional service at no additional charge.

cleaned the gas line and general tune up. Cleaned out timbers and gave us new ones. Made suggestions for upgrades. Waiting on pricing. Very happy with service.
