Dr Sweep

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. However it was really quick and they were only at our house for about 10 minutes. I don't know if I will use them again because it was really fast for the price we paid. It cost $100 and they were literally done in about 10 minutes. They were very nice and the guy was really helpful. I would have thought they would be more involved in the service, but what they did do was not bad. They also quoted us to hook up our fireplace and I think their price was too expensive for that. I think their price is a little high for what the job actually is.

I purchased a groupon for a chimney sweep and an Angie's list deal for a gas log tune up. I did check with the company before purchasing both to see if it would be a problem. They were quick and responsive to my inquiries. Setting up the appointment was efficient and easy also. The young man that arrived to perform the services went right to work, our house was chaos as it was moving day, and he seemed not to mind working around everything which I greatly appreciated. He was done in a timely manner and took the time to explain to him how to work my fireplace as, again, this was a new house for us and I have never had a gas fireplace before. He also wrote down some other problems that he saw while doing the tune-up that would be in need of repair. I did go out on my roof and verify the validity of his recommendations to the best of my ability. All repairs suggested seem to be warranted. Although I haven't scheduled further repairs yet at this time, their price quotes seemed competitive and I will consider them again for work in the future.

It worked out good. They were very prompt, everything was cleaned up well afterwards, and they were very professional.

Great response time. Someone was at my new home where i needed my fireplace cleaned within 2 days after my purchase online. Connor from the Canton office/store was great, even showed me how to work the fireplace. I plan to use them again when needed.

They were very helpful, did what was asked, and even helped us learn how to work our gas fireplace, which came with our new house.

The service turned out great. We had no complaints at all with the service. The guy came in with booties. He was very friendly and efficient. He was truthful and he let us know what needed to be done. They were very timely and got us in within a week of our call. We asked him questions about replacing the gas log insert and he did try to wheel and deal with that work as he let us know he had inserts at his home. I did not find that to be professional. The service we were satisfied with but the sales portion was not as professional. I would use them again for installation but as far as purchasing from them I would have hesitation.

Everything went well and was done quickly. The two men that were sent out were polite and respectful of our carpet and didn't leave a mess. They also fixed our pilot light. We would certainly use them again.

We purchased a Big Deal for them to clean the gutters. They did a good job and they were nice.

We enjoyed the guys who did this work. They were respectful and engaging. They suggested we buy some products to enhance the performance of our fireplace, but were not at all pushy about selling to us. In fact, they suggested that I could get the product cheaper at Menards if I wanted to install it myself

We purchased the $99 Gas Log Fireplace Tune-Up. When the appointment was scheduled I was told I would be charged a service call if the tune-up did not fix any problem. They called before coming and arrived as scheduled. They performed the tune-up, and found that wires were loose to the igniter, and tightened them. They did not clean the glass, or perform all the checks listed in the coupon. After they left, we noticed that the gas logs placed back incorrectly. When work was completed, they charged us the coupon and a service call, which was a total of $184.00. I was not happy about this, but I paid. Now I am very leery of Angie's List "deals".

The Technician arrived on time, was polite and courteous. He put down a cloth in front of the fireplace and got to work. We just bought our home and the Fireplace wasn't working, the pilot would like, but when we flicked the light switch it would not ignite. He figured out the problem (dirty contacts) and fixed it with no additional charge! He even added some new rocks to to the fireplace that make it look newer. Excellent service!

The service went well. The person who did the work did a very dine job very conscientious.

When the chimney sweep arrived for my cleaning, he took a quick look up my chimney & said it was unsafe & needed a chemical cleaning for $400 (w/ the price of my cleaning to be credited towards it). While I use my chimney every weekend during the winter, I also have it cleaned every other yr, so it was 2 yrs since my last clean. The chemical clean was scheduled for another day by another person. When he came he just squirted the chemical in my chimney, didn't scrub it & then waited for it to flow down. That was it. I had my chimney cleaned after the next season, by a different firm. When I explained what had happened, they were shocked, to say the least.

The appointment fell during one of the many snow storm days we've had this winter, but the techs called during the scheduled window, told me they would be over in approximately 45 minutes, and they were true to their word, unplowed roads and all. Great care was taken not to make a mess, tarps were laid sown, shoe covers wear worn, and both technicians were polite , and the whole process form meeting them at the door to thanking them and saying goodbye took less than 30 minutes. There was absolutely no pressure for additional services, as a matter of fact, the tech assured me some of my concerns were non issues, or were something that could be resolved at a a later date. If I had regrets, it would be I failed to get the names of everyone I worked with, from the appointment coordinator to the techs who came out. I would have liked to publically given them kudos for A1 service

Work was quick, professional and helpful. Our gas fireplace had not been working and the service professional cleaned and restarted it. Was informed of price for a new unit that we have passed on for now but may do in the future.

very so/so. Logs not very clean and not replaced where they were, they now can't be moved because of soot on the bottom. Glass was not cleaned.

The initial employee lied about several things as to why he was missing appointments. A simple phone call to the office rectified the situation IMMEDIATELY and we were pleased when the service was actually done.
