 + -1 moreWe had a clogged toilet from natural human waste. They came out on Thursday to diagnose the problem. They came back on Friday and ran their snake down it, and it totally discolored the toilet and scraped it up pretty badly. The proceline is now black, and will not come clean. This was done 3 days ago, and the toilet is still clogged. They charged us $225 after qouting us $80 over the phone. I have been trying to call them since Saturday, and no one has answered any calls and all of their mailboxes are full. They also had filthy shoes and did not wear any shoe covers, so we had to lay down towels on the carpet for them to walk on, which got pretty dirty.

 + -1 moreTheir services were good. The on-site guy that came out and helped diagnose the problem was pleasant and diagnosed the problem correctly. He ended up snaking out the laundry drain and not the main. This saved an extra trip out, as they did not have the proper equipment with them in the truck to do the main. Pros: They diagnosed the problem and were a good price compared to other local businesses. Cons: They were not on time, and could communicate better about being late. (I called them to check up).
Description of Work: We had Cut-Rate come out and diagnose a drain backing up and snake it out.

Description of Work: Our issue was a kitchen sink that wouldn't drain properly. We called and were advised that they would have someone out within two hour, preceded by a call indicating they were 'on their way'. Within 10 minutes we received a call back indicating that help was intransit. I didn't have time to get in the shower before the plumber was knocking on the door! Andy and Jim were outstanding and very customer sensitive.. They explained what needed to be done, and, how they were going to do it. Working together, they quickly snaked the drain in cramped quarters. In addition, they identified a leaking garbage disposal that needed to be replaced. They cleaned the drain and installed a new garbage disposal in about an hour. The two plumbers worked together well, were quick, efficient, courteous, and cleaned up the work area before they left. I would definitely recommend this company and these guys!!

The guy at Cut Rate did a good job on this project for me and I was happy with his punctuality. Cut Rate was very professional and I would use him again in the future.

 + -1 moreAFTER ARRIVING THE TWO SERVICE REP'S PROCEEDED TO CHECK ALL THE DRAINS IN MY BASEMENT. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO TEAR THE BATHROOM WALL DOWN TO GET TO THE PIPE THAT WAS CLOGGED. AFTER HEARING THE PRICE TO DO THE JOB, I WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND RENTED A LARGE SNAKE AND CLEARED THE DRAIN MY SELF FOR A $90 RENTAL FEE. IT TOOK A COUPLE OF HOURS BUT MY WALL IS STILL INTACT. THEY WERE SO SURE THAT I (A FEMALE) WOULD HAVE NO OTHER RECOURSE THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME A FEE FOR COMING OUT. THEIR LOSS!

 + 0 moreTheir work was fine. With the water heater, he put the coupling on and then he told me it was a new water heater and that I should call the water heater. It worked fine though. Pretty fair. Also have come out before when garbage disposal was jammed - only charged me service call and showed me how to fix in the future. They were prompt as well.

They told me exactly where the plumber was and when he'd be here. He was courteous as can be. My home office is across from the bathroom and he closed the door, did his work, and then was on his way. Extremely professional and rates were reasonable. I can't say enough good about them.
Description of Work: They snaked out a drain of our bathtub. To this day it runs like it was brand new.

 + 0 moreThe contractor came out the day before and inspected the ground around the pipe with a special camera. He even let me have a look. The next day he and his crew showed up early to start. The work went smoothly. When the repair was done, another guy came from the office and did a quality assurance inspection. They replaced the dirt before they left.
Description of Work: There was a crack in the sewer pipe that went from my house to the main line in the street. The contractor replaced about an 8-9 feet section of pipe. The work was done in about 5 hours.

 + 1 moreWe've called this company several times to perform plumbing repairs. Several times we thought what needed to be done was far worse (and more expensive) than what they found. The people they've sent out have always been prompt and professional. Since we first used this company five years ago, everyone we've recommended them to have been pleased with the service and cost. The last time we had them out they "rescued" us from a bathroom sink install gone wrong. The pipe we needed to connect the sink to was so old it literally crumbled. They managed to quickly replace a few hard to reach pipes and hook the sink up in a fraction of the time (and effort) it would have taken us to do.
Description of Work: Replaced several old and damaged pipes, cleaned out drain pipe from house to the main line.

PRIOR TO STARTING THE JOB, THEY ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS SATISFACTORILY. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT IN LINE WITH OTHER ESTIMATES I HAD GOTTEN. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
Description of Work: CUT RATE PLUMBING REPLACED ALL OF THE GALVANIZED STEEL WATER PIPES IN MY HOUSE WITH COPPER PIPE. THEY ALSO REPLACED THE TRAPS UNDER THE KITCHEN AND BATHROOM SINKS, AND SNAKED THE BATHTUB DRAIN.

 + -1 moreThe only problem I had is that they had to break through the wall and they were not too clean. This was with a rental and they did not seem as worried as they would be with a home owner. I have used them for a number of times and they have sent out about three guys and they have one that is fast and the price is right. I would use them again if I could use the one guy Joe, all the time.
