Installation specifies should be explained to you up front. Generally there should be litte disruption to existing foliage, and the entire job should be completed in 1 day. I have nothing more to say except absolutely HORRIBLE service ALL AROUND. Please, please, please look at other reviews (Google, etc) before going to Wilcox. They are 10x's more expensive than other companies and their customer service is HORRIBLE; and worse, their management team is unprofessional and horrible as well (talking rudely about customers simply because we expect the services that were paid for). Not only that, their work is HORRIBLE! We added new irrigation lines to our property when having a pool built and they TOTALLY MESSED UP, causing water to run through our pool deck (which caused a lot of damage to the deck underneath) and they refused to be fully accountable even after their own employee told us that Wilcox had had to fire a lot of employees because the employees weren't doing jobs correctly. YEAH, NO JOKE! Wilcox also DAMAGED a brand new tree we planted. Do you think they took accountability for that? NOPE! I had to call their office yelling and advising them I was going to take them to court before they decided to replace the tree! The bottom line is, there are way too many other landscaping companies in the area who care about the work they do and their customers. Please, PLEASE do your homework because Wilcox is not worth it in the long run.

First off, our sales person was fantastic. The crew that came to our house was seemingly good. They were professional and worked quickly. However, after the crew left was when the problems started. From the second day there has been a problem with one of our zones. I had three repairmen come out and they kept telling me nothing was wrong. I had many conversations with their call center staff who were nice, but when I asked to speak to the manager she accused me of making up the problem and told me there was nothing Wilcox could do. I was stunned. I had this system less than a week, it was broken, and I was not even close to a priority. Oh, and if you ask for an appointment, the scheduling staff will never call you back. You have to repeatedly call them to get answers. Also, there are different types of appointments. One where Wilcox randomly sends someone to your house without you being there to work on the issue and a scheduled one which I have yet to experience. I thought mine were scheduled but apparently not. As for the work itself, there are sprinkler lines above the ground on the side of my house in shrubs and they placed the water lines right down the center of my garden so I have to figure out how to plant my vegetables and not bust the line. I have zero confidence in my system and Wilcox doesn’t care. Very disappointed.

I had a problem with it and they started in on it and it cost me extra. They did not tell me how much it was going to be which ended up being $100 an hour. So I ended up spending a couple hundred dollars before they told me what was going on. The initial service their price was the same as others, $70. It's about standard for the area.

Outstanding My husband and I couldn't be happier. Jim and his crew were exceptional. When I reached Jim he said he was in our area so he came right over and took the time to explained to us what would be done. So we agreed to hire them to do our sprinkler installation. Jim's crew came out in about 5 days, they were on time, did an excellent job with the installation. They showed us how to work the timer, made sure everything was working properly then they cleaned up and left. One more thing…they were very polite, kind and very funny…they made us laugh.

They came to our home last Wednesday to turn on our sprinkler system. They did a few minor repairs to a couple sprinkler heads, adjusted everything for proper coverage and did an amazing job! The technicians as always were courteous, very knowledgeable and have our system running in tip top shape. Our lawn is thriving and the yard looks beautiful. When we set up the appointment the office staff was extremely polite, friendly and accommodating. Overall a wonderful experience dealing with everyone at Wilcox Bros!!!

Customer is not first and the main office scheduling and handling of customers is awful. Beware! The two technicians came out to the house on the scheduled day Friday 6/16 and where only here for 5 min total. They told my wife that the scheduling person didn't give them enough time to do the work and called it into the main office and that we would need another appointment. My wife then called the office to understand why the work wouldn't be done and they couldn't tell her a reason until the paperwork got back to the office AND the next available time could be TWO WEEKS LATER 6/30!!! So my wife checked back on Monday (6/19/17) to see if the paperwork was looked at to make a follow up appointment and they still had not looked at and the manager Shelly didn't look at the paper and very short to offer us as the customer support without any resolution or answers. My wife wanted to inform the public of her dealing with Wilcox brothers so that people know the kind of possible service they can receive by writing a factual review of the encounter on different outlets. My wife has never been so hurt or mistreated by a company that she felt that people should know and this is the first negative review she has written. A different office person called her shortly after with an appointment to be set up. An hour later Shelly called my wife back threatening to cancel our appointed due to the 1 star review of how she treated the screw up on not scheduling the proper amount of time to do the work. My wife told her that she would remove the post once the scheduling was correct and the work was completed. Then Tuesday (6/20/17) my wife received a call from Shelly the manager at the office that they cancelled the appointment because she had our file reviewed by the owner Doug Wilcox and that since we didn't take the 1 star review down that they would no longer do business with us & bullied my wife to remove the review since he listened to Shelly his manager who wasn't telling him the truth. My wife called back to understand why and speak to Doug which he talked to her on the phone but never asked why the review was written or cared ultimately for the customer as it is stated by the company. He told her to go to a competitor to get the work done. Please beware - I had my sprinkler system installed and annually winterized by them and was willing to have them do all repairs necessary to make my yard perfect and that didn't matter. When the owner Doug Wilcox isn't talking to his costumers that make his business then I will easily go to his competitors and tell potential customers my dealings with Wilcox Brothers. It should have been fixed immediately due to how they improperly scheduled the job and I shouldn't have to wait over a month to get my system repaired from the date of first setting up an appointment.

I used this company for many years. Not any more. Now I'm on Angie's List, looking for a new company. I have several complaints. This took place last summer. Number one, when they turned on my sprinkler system, they didn't check to make sure all sprinkler heads worked, and didn't check to make sure all areas were were being watered. I discovered sprinkler heads just leaking water, and heads that sprayed my drive way, and only a little on the grass. Number two, I paid for premium service, which included a mid summer sprinkler check, but they never came. Number three, I wanted soaker hoses for my flower beds. I waited weeks for my appointment, but I understood. After all, it was summer. When they came to do the work, they brought the wrong hoses. They couldn't do the work. So once again, I had to wait weeks for them to come back. It wasn't my fault they brought the wrong hoses, but I still got put at the end of the line, to wait for an appointment. By the time they finally came to do the job, summer was almost over. And my final complaint, I have a partially blocked sprinkler line in my back yard. You probably can already guess- they promised to come back and take care of it- and yes, it is still blocked, because they never showed up.

Scheduled appointment for installation, there was a two week wait. No issue there. Morning of installation, no call/no show. Went online to see if permit was pulled for the job - it wasn't. I was offered a $100 discount by the owner to reschedule when I called to see where the crew was.

We got an estimate for landscape lighting from three different companies before making our choice. Wilcox was one that gave us an estimate. They were on time and courteous. They quoted our lighting and left us with different lighting choices to pick from. We found them a bit matter of fact about the job though. Probably best described by our asking a question and their rep saying -"Yeah, we can do that" or "sure, that might look nice". I guess we were looking for a bit more artistic flair. After all landscape lighting is not a need - it is a true luxury and all about the effect when complete. Maybe we expected too much - but we were looking for someone who had some ideas and was not looking to just do what we thought would look good. We were looking for their expertise and ideas too. I have no doubt that they would have gotten the job done, but ultimately we found a company that showed not only artistic flair but also had a passion for the service they provided.

I have two issues: First, my service appointment was scheduled for between12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on 28 April. The crew arrived around 1130 a.m. when I was not home. Fortunately, my son was able to let them in to do their work. I expect that firms like this will keep to the agreed upon times for appointments, just as I am expected to abide by the agreed upon times. They expected my son to agree to repairs that they said were needed, and he had no understanding of what they were talking about. I arrived home about 11:50 a.m., and the repairs were in progress. Second, shortly after the crew left, I discovered there was a leak at the backflow preventer. The crew had failed to notice this very obvious leak. I also noted that the crew had failed to screw down the top of the backflow preventer. I screwed it down myself, but this did not stop the leak. I called Wilcox and they had the crew return about an hour later. They tried unsuccessfully to fix the leak, but gave up and told me that the backflow preventer needed to be replaced. However, they did not have the part and said the office would call me. Two days later--no call back, so I called them. They said that because I was not a priority customer the earliest they could fix the problem was sometime in June. When I replied that this was unsatisfactory, I was placed on hold for a few minutes and then told they would call back. I believe the call back was the next day and I was told that 12 May was the best they could do. The water to the sprinkler system had to remain turned off until the leak could be fixed, so this was a nuisance. On 12 May the problem was fixed.

Wilcox did not do what they promised yet they kept my $250 I got screwed I called them multiple times I gave them multiple warnings of what and where the job was they did not live up to their expectations and charge me $250 for a piece of 17 and three-quarter inch PVC pipe that is only a 16th inch thick and not replacing my hose bib near my vacuum valves is about as worse as it can get! I've been a client of theirs for over 20 years I'm done use them at your own risk!

Repair and install one SLEAVE underneath a new driveway BEFORE ITS POURED OR FORMS INSTALLED. They've been a vendor of mine for over 20 years. I was having a new driveway and sidewalk poured I called them and told them that the work was being done and what they wanted me to do with the irrigation system I currently had installed. They said if you could lift up the old pipe and just lay it alongside the new driveway. They said when everything was finished they be back out and put everything back together. I told them the new driveway we were extending 2 feet each side and I needed a sleeve 26 feet long! I told them the forms may not be in if the forms are not in yet please leave the new sleeve alongside the driveway and allow the concrete contractor to install it! I came home only to find that they installed the new sleeve before the forms were put in before the driveway was extended the sleeve was 17 and three-quarter inches long. Not the 26 feet I requested several times! I also told Wilcox that I wanted them to fix the spout outside by the vacuum breakers that it was broken they took $250 of my money and put it on my credit cardthey did not repair my hose bib by the vacuum breaker yet they did not follow my instructions for the sleeve eitherI contacted them multiple times and told them that the contractor was going to be out in the next few days to install the form to please drop off the 26 foot sleevethey kept telling me no problem will take care of itwell the next day the forms were put in the driveway was extended 2 feet on each side I called Wilcox and I explain to them they are pouring concrete in the next day or two you need to get a crew out here and drop off a 26 foot sleeve as I instructed you multiple times no problem Mr. NAGY will take care of itThe following day still no new sleeve the forms are in and now they're pouring concreteI called Wilcox I told him what was going on they said there was no wait they would be able to get out there today to give us our new sleeve and I would have to live with what I had so another words I gave them $250 to do a job they promised to do and they didn't do it correctlyend of story I called them back I said you guys took my money you promised to do a job that you did not do charge me the money you did is called usury

First and foremost, the delay in response is due to a glitch on Angie’s List. Mr. [Member], you are a very confused man on what happened. I want to remind you of the timeline of events. We were there the day after you called us and I would say that is impeccable service on our part to a long standing customer. Yes, the sleeve we left there was too short. The driveway cut out was not finished when the technician arrived so he left the sleeve there that was the width of the driveway. Understandably you were upset and our office apologized for the mistake. This was a difficult project to schedule with you due to the fact we were conversing with you and your cement contractor. You were telling me the cement contractor was paying for this sleeve and your cement contractor had no clue to any of this. You had asked about repairing the damage to the sprinklers and Vacuum Breaker and you were told if time permits we would do that. Since this a last minute unscheduled call time did not permit. When you called our office in a very irate state about the sleeve you demanded your money back or the money credited to the repairs toward the sprinkler system. I told you I would discuss what happened with the owner of Wilcox and the technician involved. It was agreed that we would credit you the money toward the sprinkler repairs less the materials we left on the job since your cement contractor kept the materials we left. You agreed to this 100% and seemed satisfied. Now this is where things went badly. Your appointment was scheduled for the repairs on the sprinklers. You called the day of your appointment and immediately started screaming at the lady that answered the phone. She had no idea what this was about, since she had not been part of this scheduling. You used such disgusting language toward her. You repeatedly used the F bomb at and towards her. Calling her and our company such vial names. I have no idea what set you off, but you had no right talking to anyone in our office in such a manner. You were unprofessional and offensive. When I took over the call, I asked what the problem was since we had agreed we were coming that day to do the repairs. You started threatening Wilcox Bros with lawsuits, social media disgrace etc etc. You were incoherent and could not be reasoned with. I told you never to call here again. Yes, I called your wife because I was hoping to talk to someone reasonable. Her reply was this, “He has been recently released from the hospital and is flying high on pain pills”. Enough said. Last year I wrote a bad review and they asked to try them again. Well, the company has gotten too big. We have been customers for 16 years now and and quot;priority oneand quot; . They apologized for what happened las year and this year we again paid the fee to be 'priority oneand quot; customers. We are supposed to have our sprinklers turned on in May and they were just turned on.... TODAY! June 30. The people at the office are rude and they had scratched us from being that priority one customer which gives us 10% discount on parts (which Jason -the technician- honored). I have had it with them, they DO NOT care about loyal customers any more, they just want to get new business. Be careful on selecting them. They DO NOT treat customers right. I have been informing everyone I know and my neighbors as well.

It rained that day and unfortunately we had to reschedule all of the appointments for that day. When we gave you a reschedule date you chose to cancel your contract. The technician gave you the 10% discount on parts as a courtesy. According to the technician you became upset when he asked for payment. You were told C.O.D. when you cancelled your contract. We are a C.O.D. business like many are. Grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, doctors offices all expect payment at the time of service. I apologized last year for a new employees lack of courtesy toward you and as I stated she did not remain with Wilcox Bros. I will remove your name from our mailing list. We do try very hard to satisfy our customers.

I've been using them for 5 years. I spent about $75. They're knowledgeable, they're prompt, you don't have to wait weeks for an appointment and their cost is reasonable. I think they know about irrigation systems, they have a smart staff and they can do both the plumbing and the electrical with irrigation systems. So they seem pretty confident.

They gave me an estimate for the sprinkler which was considerably less than what another company gave us. I was impressed with the guy. I thought that they were professional. They would have an outdoor shutoff valve which the other company would not. They gave me a little more information on the things I asked about. They were very responsive. When they thought they might be late, they called and asked if they could reschedule; I really appreciated that.

First, let me say: LOVE MY NEW LED LIGHTS! I used the company to have old lighting removed from the outside landscape area of my home. Jim and his team installed new LED lighting in front and side of yard. Great team and excellent work. I am very pleased with the work and will "definitely recommend". I did a lot of extensive research and had different companies come out for estimates. Jim was professional, walked me through the installation layout and answered all questions prior to the job. Jim had brochures of different lighting to help me choose. Day of installation, Jim came out with his team and walked me through the layout plan again to ensure proper installation and lighting was exactly where I wanted it to be. Jim & team....THANK YOU....EXCELLENT WORK ...A+++

Jim first came out and gave me a quote with a sketch of placement of the rotor heads and zones needed for my yards. There was no over-sell and the price quoted was competitive. We scheduled a date, but due to heavy rains, the job had to be re-scheduled. Jim kept coming out to check the soil to see if it was dry enough for the machinery and he stayed in touch with me to keep me abreast of what was happening. But once the weather changed, they were able to go ahead. Jim came with the crew and introduced me to the foreman. He reviewed with me what was to take place and made sure he, the foreman and I were all on the same page. Jim left and the group began working. They spent about 5-6 hours putting in lines, controller stations, pipes, valves, a vacuum breaker and rotary heads. They were neat and professional. They neatly cut patches of grass and replaced them when they were finished. They worked steadily until everything was in place and working. The foreman made sure everything was swept, cleaned and discarded. I was shown where the lines were in-house, how to work the timer and given a demonstration of how the system worked in each zone. I could not have been more satisfied with the whole job from beginning to end.

Wilcox arrived when scheduled. They rolled up the sod to prevent damage to it. They then proceeded to run the lines under the ground rather than doing a major tear up of the grounds. They also installed the control equipment in our garage and explained its operation. Once the ground installation was complete, they laid the sod back in place and made sure that any dirt that was removed was replaced. They then cleaned up the area to our satisfaction. Because the weather was turning cold, they also winterized the system to avoid freezing. We were very pleased with the service we received and plan to use them for annual servicing.

Since this was a new house to us, we didn't really know anything about the system, and the tech who came out was great about explaining how everything worked, how to use it, and what recommendations he might make for improving coverage. However, he also wasn't pushy about trying to sell more services. He just let us know what he could offer, and left the decisions up to us. We'll definitely be using them again. The only (mildly) negative comment I have is that they don't set appointments for a specific time, only a day, and if they can't reach you when they call to say they're on the way, they'll move on to the next customer. Luckily I didn't run into any problems, but that could be a concern for some people.

It went great! They came in on time. Jim (the owner) was friendly and informative and introduced me to his crew. His entire crew was extremely pleasant and polite. It is fair to say they had some obstacles to work around like a LOT of brand new plants everywhere on the property.. I watched them be very careful. They worked from 10-7 until they got it done. They also cleaned up after they were done. Jim said they wouldn't hurt anything while they worked and they didn't! The sun was setting while they explained how the new sprinkler system worked and went through all the different zones (7) . I think my new plants will be watered really well and the days of asking the neighbor to water my plants when I am away are over! . I recommend this company. I don't recommend or do reviews unless I think a company deserves it. This one does.

We had to delay installation on several occasions due to other work being done on our home. Once we called and gave Wilcox the go ahead and asked them to schedule our service, they were extremely quick! The workers were at our home at the time stated and their work was done quickly and neatly. The foreman completely explained and demonstrated the system for us. We have absolutely no complaints and also appreciated the kindness shown to our young grandson when he asked his many questions. Thank you Wilcox Brothers!!!!!
