Dave did an amazing job on the computer and thoroughly went over the device in his troubleshooting efforts. I am impressed with his work and I will certainly call on him again if I need servicing. He is fast, courteous and competitively priced.

Advised me to spend $150 repairing a computer running Windows XP when everyone (other than me) knew Microsoft was no longer going to be supporting XP in the future. Would not use this provider in the future.

Went great! Took longer than anticipated, but as a musician, I have an inordinate amount of files. Dave is professional, honest, and the best in the biz. Dave was awesome! During an incredibly stressful week, my computer became frozen and no amount of home remedying was able to rouse it from its stupor. I called Dave, fully expecting to have to take my laptop to him, be without it for days, and spend hundreds of dollars on a repair. Instead, he was able to fix it over the phone. I repeat, OVER THE PHONE. It was amazing. He was very friendly and professional, and he is now my 'go-to' computer guy. Thank you, Dave.

He is very thorough. He calls the same day of the appointment to let you know exactly when he is coming. His costs are reasonable. He tried to get the work done within that first hour and he will let you know ahead of time if it is going to run over. I have been using his services for a couple of years now. He is really good! If I have a problem, I call Jim for any work.

Contacted Dave by phone late Monday afternoon about my unresponsive desktop computer. He quoted his pricing, $75/hour, offered suggestions as to what MIGHT be causing my problems and offered to pickup the computer at 3:30pm Tuesday.
Arrived at 3:35 Tuesday. Spent several minutes discussing the problem and took computer for repair.
Dave phone Wednesday morning and said that while he couldn't absolutely rule out a hardware problem, he believed it more likely that it was a problem with corrupted files and was continuing to run tests and repair errors.
Dave called Thursday afternoon to report that computer was fixed and arranged to bring it back Friday morning at 10:30am.
He arrived Friday at 10:10am with repaired computer. Billed for 1 1/2 hours of work.
Dave was more than willing to spend whatever time was necessary to answer my questions and offer advice. Offered to reconnect the computer, which I declined.
Totally professional, very prompt and reasonably priced.

Quit diligent, because what he was seeing wasn't what I'd described. Very knowledgeable, he figured out the issue and resolved it. I am very happy with the result and happy to have a "computer guy" in my area that I can confidently call and rely on for my computer issues.

I highly recommend Dave Webber. He added more memory to my slow computer & installed a free antivirus program that works perfectly!! He also removed a virus from my laptop. A+++ service!

Last time Dave Weber came he did not come prepared to do the things on the list. He kind of left me in the middle of his service and I still had to pay him. I didn't think that as quite right for me. I was unhappy with him and today was the last straw. I called him again today to service my computer. I guess he is on vacation and I guess he has a substitute company to cover him. I work a lot at home and I just don't think that is right for me. I paid him many times to come out for service. I think he is very knowledgable and good at what he does, but I think with certain clients he needs to be more responsive to the customer.

"The customer called me a set up an appointment to fix a problem with a wireless printer and, in her words, "a few other things". When I arrived, I fixed the wireless printing problem but was handed a long list of additional items. I did the work I could do within the amount of time I had allowed and then explained that had to leave because of my schedule. I told her I would call her and reschedule to resolve the remaining issues. I call her back twice in the next week attempting to reschedule to finish the work, left messages both times, and never received any calls back. Now, two months later, I am out of town and she has left me a message saying she would like the work done. On her message she said she would contact my backup (I arrange for backup when I am out of town). Next she leaves this review. I will attempt to contact the customer this week and schedule the work again."

I had contacted Oakland Solutions as my computer had been running extremely slow, to the point that I had been using it in SAFE mode for years. I had anti-virus software but nothing was detected. I called Dave, explained the issues, he was straight forward and clear telling me what he could do and how much it would cost. He came that night, picked up my laptop at my house, then returned it completely fixed (with viruses detected and removed) ahead of schedule. He worked around my schedule which was a huge help and made it possible to have the work done. He kept to his quote and even assisted with a program update after the fact.

Ended up costing me far more than was originally quoted, when other issues arose as a result of the new hard drive, apparently. It has to go back a 2nd time to be usable.

"I did the work in May, the review was posted in August. This is the first I've heard that the customer was anything other than completely satisfied. I have contacted the customer and will either correct the problems she is experiencing or refund her money as is my guarantee. The customer is out of town and so no work can be done until she returns. For the record, the price of the work changed because the scope of the work changed. It started as replacement of a failing hard drive (I completed the work for the price I quoted in the estimate). After the hard drive was replaced there were additional problems which I determined to be caused by a virus (these problems were masked by the failing hard drive and so didn't manifest themselves until the hard drive was replaced). I then gave the customer an estimate for virus removal, which she approved, and then completed that second job for the price quoted."

The computer's screen would not stay on for more that 10 to 15 seconds at a time. I had timed the repair to occur while we were out of town on vacation and let Dave know that this wasn't a time critical repair. Dave came to my home and picked up the computer and a few days later called to give me the bad news that the replacement parts necessary were expensive (about $800) and would have to be ordered from China. Given that I had only paid about $1000 five years earlier I decided that I didn't want to repair it but I had some files on the hard drive that I needed. When I got back into town I called Dave and we discussed alternatives. In addition to the files I needed, I was also concerned about the ability to wipe clean the hard drive before I recycled the computer. Dave recommended that he pull the hard drive and use a kit to convert it to an external drive that I could connect via USB to my laptop. The solution was inexpensive and works great. I now have access to all of the files that were on the VAIO and can drop of the old computer for recycling without worrying about any personal information being compromised.

I found Dave Webber of Oakland Solutions, LLC to be a mature businessman (20 years experience with IBM), very professional, and also friendly and relaxed. It was a very nice experience having him come to my home to do a much-needed tune-up on my 8-year-old PC. I am a self-employed transcriptionist and have worked out of my home for 25 years. I basically do word processing and Google searches on my computer for the most part, so I tend to keep my computers for a long time; but since I use them to earn my livelihood, it's important to keep them in good running order. I was worried my current computer was taking it's last gasp because it was noisy and bogging down all the time. I knew it was time for a tune-up but had not been satisfied with previous computer techs I had used. I need to keep this computer going for another year for financial reasons so was getting a little worried. Dave came and did all the usual scans and tweaks, but the computer was still making that annoying processing noise. Then because of his knowledge and experience, he thought to try defragmenting the hard drive. It's not the first thing most people would think of (even computer techs) because this is more of a problem for older computers. He had me run the defragmenting program overnight, and in the morning it was like I had a new computer! No noise whatsoever and it is running as smooth as silk with no bogging down. I credit Dave with saving me money that I can't afford right now to buy a new computer and also for saving my sanity. I realize now that all the noise the computer had been making was causing me anxiety, as if it was signaling it was about to break down. I look forward to a long business relationship with Dave Webber and give him the highest recommendation.

Dave with Oakland Solutions answered the phone the first time I called (good start) and was very detailed regarding the services he provides, price structure, and what to expect. He came out promptly to diagnose the problem and had to take the computer back to his shop for further examination. He was able to fix the problem, return it the next day, and hook everything back up. Nice guy and very easy to work with.

I called around and found that the big name repair shops charged on an hourly basis with no firm final estimate. They said that if they take 4 hours to fix it, I'd be paying them $400! Oakland Solutions was willing to quote me a firm price in my case, since it was a standard type of problem, and he stuck to it. That sold me on the idea of using him. He fixed it in two days, even though he was busy with other work. I'll use him again. Rating: All A's, except for satisfaction with final result, which is B. The PC did come back working again, but it would no longer turn off automatically when I shut it down, and he said that within the price he quoted he would try three things and if that didn't work, that's all he could do. I do understand and accept that. I could have paid him more and I'm sure he would have fixed that too. He was good enough to give me the fixed price and the others would not. It was probably for reasons such as this, where the problem can grow.
