Description of Work: This provider has no compassion for women, does not review medical records, and treated me with the utmost dis-respect I've ever been treated with by a Doctor, it's a BIG SCAM, all he wants to do is insert pain pumps in your back, your not allowed to speak, if in fact you are a women, you better not go alone, this man and his partner Vigi Thomas are in co-houts, they should be deported. They are in it for the sole purpose of finacial gain, not the pupose of helping patients!

Description of Work: I had been recently diagnosed with lupus at the time of my first visit. Both my general practitioner and rheumatologist suggested that I find a doc to manage the pain end of the disease process as I had 2 unusual problems many lupus patients dont. At that time I couldn't take NSAIDs because I developed some ulcerative colitis most likely from the amount and length of time I'd been on NSAIDs already. I also am allergic to steroids (I know that sounds weird). But my pain management by medication was severely cut off because of those difficulties. I went to see Dr. Kerkar at Pain Clinic of MI. He took an EXTENSIVE history and looked thoroughly at my blood work, then proclaimed that I did not have lupus, and that there was no reason for me to be in any pain at all! I actually agreed with him about not wanting to be on medication and explained other homeopathic therapies I was trying in order to help control the pain with or without medication. He begrudgingly wrote me a script for the Sam amount of the same kind of pain med I'd been on for a while - didn't ask him for it, he just gave it to me, told me to come back in a month so we could discuss changing my medication. I definitely got the feeling the whole time that he was absolutely trying to get rid of me and hoped I wouldn't come back. I noticed that the rest of the patients in the office at the same time as me were elderly and several had pic lines. During the next visit, my husband came in with me, as my lupus had been bad and definitely flaring at the time. I had been in a lot of pain. My husband wanted Dr. Kerkar to understand how much pain I had been in, as I tend to downplay my pain. This time Dr. Kerkar only asked one question: why are you here? You're not really sick - you don't have lupus and theres no evidence that you've been sick. He then... still can't believe this happened... accused me of not taking the drugs, but actually selling them!!! He talked for a moment about the great strength the elderly patients he treats show by NOT taking their pain medication, even though THEY ARE ACTUALLY SICK!! He then accused my husband, who he doesn't know from anyone, of having taken some of my meds! He actually suggested that if he had Bill give a urine sample right then, he'd probably test positive for the meds I was on!! Bill nearly asked for a cup and dropped his pants right then and there. Dr. Kerkar then stated he was going to write me one more script (I had already said that I wanted NOTHING from him, but my husband was quite worried that if I didn't have any pain control, I'd end up in the ER) and that I should never come back! LIKE ID EVER, EVER GO BACK TO THAT PLACE AGAIN!! NEVER AGAIN!! This was not just a terrible doctor's visit - it bordered on libel!

Description of Work: I HAVE A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH 5 BULGING DISCS AND A PINCHED SCIATIC NERVE. WHEN I SAW THE DOCTOR I TOLD HIM THAT THE PAIN IN MY LEG COMING FROM MY BACK WAS REAL BAD AND NO MEDS WOULD HELP ALLEVIATE THE PAIN. HE DID NOT EXAMINE ME AND ONLY WANTED TO TALK ABOUT THE APPT I MISSED ON THE THE 7TH AND I TOLD HIM I CALLED AND LEFT A MESSAGE OVER 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THE TIME. HE STILL DID NOT EXAMIME ME AND ONLY TOLD ME THAT I NEED TO KEEP THE APPTS BUT I DID NOT HAVE A RIDE SINCE I WAS GOING TO BE PUT TO SLEEP. HE CHANGED MY MEDS AND HERE IT IS THE 28TH AND MY LEG/NERVE IS STILL IN PAIN. HE KEPT GIVING ME DIRTY LOOKS WHILE I WAS MAKING MY NEXT APPTS.
