First "deep clean" in 2016 was excellent; owner on site. Then a succession of less than acceptable cleaning people. In mid-2017 there was employee problems/turnover & she dropped me from her service as she didn't have enough staff to continue with her current client list. In late 2017 she advised she was staffed again if I was interested in re-starting, she would be available the first of the year. In 2018 I had a new housekeeper who was wonderful. I had a husband recovering from a life-threatening illness & my 88 year old mother, so a great housekeeper made my life easier. Effective 7/15/19, another employee issue, so once again she dumped me as a client. I explained that we were getting ready for a 50th anniversary party in our home in 3 weeks and now I was going to be without a housekeeper?? Attitude was so sad, too bad. No effort to try to help me out at all. I was not a difficult customer complaining at every turn. So, if you are a smaller home (1650 sq ft ranch) you will be expendable. The housekeeper I had was wonderful; absolutely no complaints with her wonderful work. All of my A/B ratings are for the housekeeper; rest for the owner.

Is a simple "A" as high as I can rate, because this company is off the chart! I'm very fussy, some people say...It's just that I am a perfectionist. My husband and I recently purchased a used condo, and I didn't like the idea of moving into the home of someone else. The condo was in great shape, but had the usual smells, wear and tear, and dust and dirt of the previous owner. I told the President Barbara Rodriguez, I wanted a cleaner who'd be willing to "put up with me" because I wanted every inch of the condo scrubbed down--not simply wiped. I wanted the home to be sanitized. Even though on Angie's List Ms. Rodriguez's "report cards" are over the top with "A's", I thought her efforts would equate to my perception of a "B" and "C" level. Barbara met my husband and I at our condo and we discussed what I wanted. We went through the condo methodically and she took copious notes--for example, I wanted the toilets taken apart and hinges, rubber stoppers, etc. cleaned with a toothbrush, plus disinfected, and sanitized; the same with door knobs, inside washing machine and dryer, and each shower's grout and fixtures and lots more. She and her crew spent 2 days and her price was exceptionally fair. As a rule, I do not leave reviews, but how could I not applaud over-the-top efforts that exceed a standard "A" performance rating? B & R cleaning is--honestly, in my view,---A+++. But I must admit I am disappointed in one area: I haven't been able to convince her to take me on as a regular bi-monthly client. B & R's business is mostly focused on Fire and Flood restoration cleaning and a one-time deep residential and commercial cleaning, although she does have a house-cleaning crew (which, unfortunately outside B & R's service area.) I know the rating I'm leaving is "me doth protest too much," but everything I've said is true. You will be happy you chose B & R Cleaning Services.

Not only does our garage look clean, it actually smells clean. Barbara and her assistant are not only wonderful cleaners, but they are organizers. They made labeled bins for all my small garden tools, plant foods, bug sprays, etc. I can now find things that had been lost for the past two years. I promise I will keep it neat...okay, I promise I will TRY to keep it neat. Not only will I be using B & R again for the garage, I will also have them do our basement. If anyone can get a handle on that mess, Barbara can.

I used this service for three years. In terms of quality, B&R generally provided well-above-average cleaning services at a fair price, though with the occasional dings and scratches that one might expect. However, after giving the regular cleaner a substantial Christmas tip, I noticed and reported significant damage to a dresser that only could have occurred as a result of cleaning. I did not ask the owner for a discount, compensation, or any other accommodation--only to be heard and taken seriously. Afterwards, the cleaner called in sick for the next scheduled cleaning. About a week after that, the owner called to inform me that she "coincidentally" had become short-staffed and was placing my service on indefinite hold so she could focus on established customers. When I pointed out that I had been a customer for three years and asked how many other customers had been placed on hold, the owner declined to answer but proposed to skip a second straight cleaning and to resume normal cleanings the following month. Although I accepted the terms, I told the owner that the experience was disappointing. Four days later, the owner told me she had changed her mind and would also cancel the third scheduled cleaning and all future service. In the end, I felt that the owner did not take my concerns seriously, retaliated when I made the first and only complaint in three years, and then strung me along for weeks promising additional service before reneging.

"I am very sorry that you felt that I did not take the matter of your dresser seriously. My biggest regret was not going to your home to investigate verse asking you questions which I now realize was the reason you felt the situation was not taken seriously. However, I did offer on two separate occasions to make it right with no reply from you. Two weeks later when you were due for your next cleaning, my employee was sick with the flu and I had to cancel. Then I called you less than one week later from your canceled cleaning stating I unfortunately had to let 2 employees go and needed to put your services on hold. At this point you became very upset which I fully understood. It was then that I offered to clean your home myself only to receive a lengthy text directly after our phone conversation stating again how unhappy you were with everything. It was then that I realized there was nothing else I could do. I would never retaliate against a customer for making a complaint. My decision with regard to which customers I would have to put on hold was based solely on the length of the customer's history with B & R Cleaning. Again, I am very sorry. I will use this lesson to improve future interaction with my customers. There are always learning curves when owning a business and I am always learning and growing."

She was good while she provided the services but abruptly stopped one day and said that she cannot provide services anymore. After about 2 years I expected a little more professionalism from her.

Amazing! Barb and her assistant did an incredible job! In 3 hours time, it was like we had a brand new basement. For the work that was put in, and the before and after look of the basement, this service was a STEAL. Totally professional, reasonable, etc I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thanks Barb :)

The tenants moved out early unexpected, and left it filthy with a lot of work to be dome. B & R was full but they rearranged their schedule, and a girl came out and worked for 3 days, it was just amazing. Everything worked out great. I am just real happy I called Angie's List and got her name.

They cleaned the entire area we agreed upon which was the entire 1st and 2nd floor less vinyl blinds and interior of kitchen appliances. They cleaned every window (10), window sill, molding, light fixture (10), and ceiling fan (5). They did a great job and it came out better the I could have imagined. I've very pleased and highly recommend Barb and ger crew!

We were looking for a regular cleaning service for our four-bedroom Tudor in a Detroit eastside suburb. Barbara's team arrived as planned -- we were actually out of town -- and when we returned home, POOF!, the house was amazingly beautiful. Every nook, every cranny carefully and meticulously cleaned and returned to their proper place.

We hired B&R over a year ago. Initially the service was to clean our new home prior to moving in. The service was so great that we hired them to come twice a month. We have never had a problem and the girls always show up on scheduled days/times. We are always satisfied and look forward to the days they come.

Our house always looks amazing after they clean! I love cleaning day! They definitely clean much better than what I can do, and they just have a personal touch that is different than other cleaning companies. The owner checks in with us from time to time. The cleaner is always on time and consistently does a great job. It is nice to have a break once a month from cleaning.

Althoughtthe girls were very nice, it was waaay overpriced for what they did. They brag about cleaning the tops of doors and light fixtures. As that is all well and good, it took them 6 plus hours for 6 girls to clean my home. We had just moved in and it was not that dirty. It was a little dusty, but not visably dirty. Cost me $900!!! The work was just okay and I am not a clean freak. Floors and cabinets were clean and they did a nice job on the fixtures. They did take my screens out if the windows to clean.. Terrible job on mirrors and glass though. There were streaks on almost everything.
A month later, I hired The Cleaning Authority to clean my home. They came in and did an AMAZING job. 4 girls cleaned my home from top to bottom and were gone in less than an hour. I was so pleased that I praised them before they left and called the office to let them know how happy I was with their service.

I came home from work and opened the door to be hit with the smell of CLEAN! The house looked amazing and it smelled so fresh. My 3 year old son was ecstatic to have an organized bedroom. They did such a wonderful job and made it so much easier to keep clean over the long holiday weekend. I can't wait to have them come back next Thursday.
