Quality Care Moving

This was a horrid company to deal with and i'm going to tell my story for everyone to judge and get these guys out of business after i was disgusted with their service. called and got a quote for a 1 bedroom house move which included the following items: living room (two sofas, two chairs, 4 coffee tables) two dining tables and 12 chairs one bedroom set bbq grill two tv's about 20 boxes and 20 random items (vacuum, rugs, mirror etc) quoted for 2-2.5 hours, which sounded about right since i had done many moves before of approximately 3 bedroom houses complete with appliances in under 5 hours. quoted $190 for first two hours and $70/hour after got an appointment for saturday between 1-1:30pm well here is where the story goes south, movers showed up at 5:15 after several calls to the dispatcher (scott) which many of were not answered or returned. two movers showed up then and performed a 1 bedroom house move in 6 hours and 45 minutes which was 8 miles away from pick up location. during those gruesome 6:45 minutes the following occurred: one of the two men spent approximately 2 hours disassembling one bed frame, 4 coffee tables (4 allan wrench screws each), table with four screws, and one chest mirror. all this was done with manual tools, wrenches, allan wrenches, pliers, which i could have done in 20 mins with a drill and couple attachments. the agony continued on at the drop off location where it took approx same amount time to assemble MOST of this stuff and left a few things un-assembled (2 coffee tables and the bed frame). while this "professional mover" was on his joyful voyage with the good old allan wrench russian roulette, the other one was packing the truck with the boxes and the random items, which at the end of the loading process realized that my two tv's and bbq grill will not fit, which was another 30 minutes of reorganizing and unloading and loading to get the grill in and had to leave the tv's behind for the owner "joe" to come later and pick it up and drop off, so i had to go back later and meet "joe" at the house to load the tv's up and few other items left behind, while the two men were at it unloading the truck and assembling few pieces of furniture. DURING ALL THIS, I WAS NOT ONLY WATCHING I WAS ALSO HELPING LOAD AND UNLOAD THE ENTIRE TRUCK. once we are all set and done and got hit with a $532 bill for a 1 bedroom house move and expressed my disgust to the owner himself "joe" all he could say was "it is what it is" next day, after plugging in the tv, found that the 50 inch plasma is no longer working/powering on, dining table legs were snatched out of place, paint scratched, dings on doors and walls. anyways, there are a lot of other companies out there, this was my experience with this one, my advice is to stay away find someone else, and if they show up with manual tools to dissassemble your furniture (oldest trick in the books) know your in for a long haul, i was desperate and had to move that day and it was the end of the day already otherwise would have never let them start that job.
