I didn't think the service man would be able to save my old dryer! But he replaced parts inside and even the door hinge. This work saved me from having to buy a new dryer, which would be impossible for me at this time. Thank you Raleigh Appliance Service. You do great work.

As always, Todd arrived when he said he would. He helped me decide whether to repair or get a new appliance (microwave was more than 15 years old--I opted for new; speed bake function repair was more than it was worth). I am very pleased with this service and I highly recommend.

We have used Raleigh for several appliance repairs/replacements in our older home. We have always been very pleased with the service--timely, personable, professional, and efficient. Would definitely recommend to a friend or use him again.

We have used Raleigh Appliance Service, Inc. several times for repairs to our elderly appliances. He also installed a new dishwasher for us when ours wore out.  We have always found the office and the technician to be personable, prompt, courteous, professional, and best of all, effective. We will definitely call again for our next problem and highly recommend the company.

My dryer was no longer providing heat. I called for service and was given an appointment for the following afternoon. The person on the phone was polite. The repair technician (owner) arrived on time and immediately told me to keep servicing the old dryer because they are made better than today's new ones. After a quick inspection I was told that I needed a new thermostat and should also replace the belt as it was worn. Since I have just recently purchased my condo, I was concerned about the venting.  I was told it did not meet current code since it was the flexible tubing type of the 1980's. I told him to go ahead and make the necessary repairs.

It took about 30-45 minutes to complete. Everything seemed to go well.

Raleigh had repaired my oven last year and I didn't hesitate to call them again to fix the dryer. The repairman showed up on time, replaced the thermostat, then proceeded to remove the drum for a through cleaning. He discovered the drive belt was worn (the dryer is over 15 years old) and replaced it. He indicated that I should keep repairing the unit as the new ones are not made as well. He worked quickly but thoroughly and we talked about a variety of subjects. Raleigh will be my first call for any appliance repairs.

I am 100 % SATISFIED, the price for parts and labor was fair and I would not hesitate to use Raleigh Appliance again.

The estimate was high and they did not provide a copy of the bill saying what needed repair.  When asked, why it was so high, they said they had to order out-of-state.  An In-state parts distributor had the parts in stock.

Todd arrived on time several hours after I called, correctly diagnosed the problem, and replaced the part. He cleaned the entire machine (15 year old Kenmore) and suggested he replace the drive belt (it was worn) and the rear seal on the drum (also worn). When I mentioned that another company had serviced the dryer two years ago by bypassing a part, he investigated. The other company repairman had bypassed a blown fuse rather than fix the problem. Todd had the parts and explained why this was a necessary safety feature. He was very professional and experienced. He had repaired our GE built in oven last fall, and demonstrated his thorough knowledge both times. I have no reason to call anybody else for appliance repair.

Excellent service, fast response, came out with all necessary parts. Preformed repairs expertly , quickly and thoroughly cleaned the dryer when it was apart

Todd was punctual, courteous & honest in accessing all three appliances. He knew immediately what the problem was with the oven and had the part on his truck because Margaret had done a thorough intake phone call, including the make & model number. He explained the problem, in words I could understand and fixed it at a fair price, including replacing the burnt out ovenlight bulb. He offered his opinions on the washer (estimated to be approx. 25 yrs. old) & refrigerator (copper brown in color) and gave me choices on how I wanted to proceed, offering to repair both, on which I declined. He gave me advice (I asked), as a repairman, on models of appliances he would recommend to replace them. I was not charged a fee for either of these appliance inspections. There was a coupon in the phonebook which was honored. I would definitely use this company again & refer others to them.

My dryer stopped working on a Sunday night. I called on Monday morning and scheduled an apppointment fo the following Friday--the only time I'd be home. He appeared on Friday when he said he would. When he arrived, he had the correct parts with him and asked if I'd like just the belt replaced or the wheels that turn the drum replaced as well, which could go at some point in the future. I opted to replace all replaceable parts in one visit. I can't say as there was a lot of conversation, but he got the job done and done professionally. He also advised me that I'm better off keeping my old, tank of a dryer (he has the same one) than to purchase new...which I had considered. Good information. He also vacuumed all crevices inside and outside the dryer--areas that collect lint over time--including the exhaust tube and vent. There was absolutely no cleanup required on my part when he left. As soon as he walked out the door, I started a load of laundry and then another...and smiled happily. It was a very good day.

Initially they said that they really didn't cover my area, but there aren't a alot of folks who do this type of work. So they agreed to make the call (out of area) due to piggybacking it with another call in our area. There was a communication gap (mine and theirs) -- and they were very very apologetic for the mix up. We ended up re-scheduling a couple of times to due to it being "out of area" but they were superb in their follow up and service. They finally fixed something that had been a problem for years. Very professional and very courteous.

He has been honest, competent and on time. His name is Todd and he is a nice guy and I have an excellent working relationship with him. 18 months ago the house next door to me was hit by lighting and one appliance after the other kept failing, so I called him. We finally realized that the lighting caused some major problem in my house and he put some parts in and told me it did not fix the problem. He if the insurance company comes through, you can pay me for the parts, but I can?t take them out and I can?t use them again and I can?t ask you to pay for them. When my insurance came through, I did write out a check for the parts, but he was very reasonable and I was too. I can?t recommend him highly enough because he is very local and very little advertising.

The refrigerator portion of our bottom-freezer refrigerator stopped cooling. Todd from Raleigh Appliance responded that afternoon, quickly diagnosed the problem and ordered the necessary parts. Two days later, Todd replaced the parts within an hour and the refrigerator was cooling again.

Parts were a little slow coming in and I was becoming upset because I needed to pack for a trip. The dryer had stopped just prior to the weekend of the 4th of July, so it was a long weekend wait before I could even call for service. He came over in the evening to get the repair made so I could do laundry and get ready for my trip. I felt this was really exceptional and one of the benefits of doing business with a owner operated firm.
