Don’t hire this company! I wish I’d read reviews before I agreed to work with them. A tree fell on the house I was in the process of purchasing and Sunglo was hired to oversee the repairs. First, the project manager, Rip, went over everything that would be done and assured me he’d communicate with me each step of the way. He gave me an estimate that the project would be complete in two months at the latest. He even gave me a spiel about how he likes to under promise and over deliver. Ha! I reached out to Rip 3 weeks after the meeting because I hadn’t heard a thing about any repairs being scheduled. He responded with several excuses and an urge that I be patient. Another 2 weeks go by. Nothing. So I reached out again and was told they would start next week. That didn’t happen. Another couple weeks. More excuses and a promise that the repairs will begin next week. Finally, 2 months after the initial meeting, repairs begin. They finish and I do a walk through prior to the closing process. I find that two different corners in the house were not painted. Not blended or anything. They just didn’t paint those corners and it is brutally obvious as the colors do not match. There is a huge gap between the wall and ceiling in the kitchen where they clearly did drywall work, because of the huge mess of drywall dust they left for me. They also left a satellite dish dangling from the roof. I reached out again to Rip, whose reply was that they were trying to schedule someone to come fix the satellite. After asking him if his company is liable for any damage the satellite makes, suddenly someone is available to come the next day! Nothing is done about the paint and Rip tells me that these issues were pre-existing and that the drywall dust must have been from some other recent work (untrue as the house was empty until I moved in and the previous owner hadn’t done any recent projects). I hope whoever takes the time to read this saves themselves the headache I experienced and hires ANYONE else!

They cleaned up everynight. They put screening to make sure there wasn't any dirt. They made every deadline and promise they gave. I've not had any problem since with the work they did! Supervision was excellent. He visited 2-3 times to make sure everything was right.

Overall it went well. There were a few minor issues along the way, but they were satisfactorily resolved.
The room now looks again much like it did before the leak occurred. The flooring was originally a commercial grade of Pergo which ultimately was replaced with a similar looking Mirage engineered wood product. The original Pergo product (or comparable laminate product ) was no longer available.
It was surprising to me the amount of damage a concealed leak from a dishwasher could cause in just one night. Once the leak got under the original laminate flooring it wicked several feet in every direction from under the cabinet that housed the dishwasher. Since the entire room had the same flooring, it was necessary to replace the entire floor.
Financially not only was there the cost of replacing the dishwasher and the insurance deductible,  but there was also the impact on our daily life of having furniture and appliances temporarily placed in other rooms. For about a week of time we had no use of the kitchen in any way.
After this happened to me I have heard from several others about comparable events caused by leaks from dishwashers or refrigerator ice makers or their connections.

Sun Glo contracted the work out to a local painting and repair firm who, overall, did a great job. They were prompt, professional, and capable. The work took a couple of weeks and the workmen were very considerate of our needs since I work from a home office.

There did seem to be a communication problem between SunGlo and the contracted workers as to exactly what needed to be done. I was able to talk to them both and come up with decisions.

All went very well until the last day. The garage was the last room to repair and repaint. The ceiling replacement went well. But when it came time to move things out of the garage to paint, their primary workers were called to another job and left two inexperienced painters. The painting job was fine but they did not put back the items from the garage and they left our chest freezer unplugged.

SunGlo did compensate us for our lost food but did not comment on the poor service with the garage. All in all it was a good experience and I would recommend them in the future.

The last appointment was almost a year ago and it went fine. Insurance covered the cost of it. What stood out about their professionalism is that everyone that came was very professional. The insurance company recommended them to us.

Formica repair was minimal but okay. Floor work was terrible: promised 3 coats, gave 2; in spots the coating material pooled and is permanently dark and elevated; did not coat under washer, dryer, refrig.

It went fine. They did a good job. They were here on time and then they did a good cleanup when they were done. Their price was also good.

Well he showed up the first time right away and got an estimate going. Once the insurance company ok the repairs they were kind of started took a couple of phone calls and about 2 weeks after the insurance company gave the go ahead to get started. The general contractor contaced me once during repairs, but only after i called him. They took a three week job and made it almost 2 months. then tried to charge the insurance company for woork not done. I refused to sign the check until the estimate was changed. Shady shady company would not recommend or ever use. Plus the scratched my floor and tore my vinyl floor. come to find out the general contractor didn't even do any of the work my house was sub contrated out to another contractor who the sub contracted it out to another one. Sounds like everyone was trying to get rich off this job.

Sun Glo Restorations is the worst company on the planet. They did one job for me and it cost me about $8,000 in damages to my house. They got stain all over my house. The owner is a very rude individual and they did not do good work. I will not use them again and if anybody that I know does I will tell them it will cost them money.

They explained everything they were going to do, including dealing with the insurance company. They took 7 months to practically rebuild the entire house. They totally dropped the ball with the insurance and even told us it was a cluster-eff. They gave us a move-in date, but the house wasn't move-in ready, so we had to move back out to the hotel we were in at the start of it all. They had 2 boxes of documents. One was marked and quot;importantand quot; - birth cirterficates, house deed, etc., and the other box was marked and quot;shredand quot; - items with sensitive information. Both boxes were apparently shredded because we never got anything back!
Our 7 year warranty is useless because it's like pulling teeth to get someone to even return our call, let alone repair something.
Never again!

They did not do the entire house, but most of it. We are 100% satisfied with the service they provided. I think we got them from Angie's list. He did a really good job. He was very thorough and cheap. I do not think that they need to improve on anything.

When our washer overflowed in the basement, I thought I had cleaned up and dried it enough. I was wrong. A few months later, we had black mold all over the bottom half of our laundry room walls, festering behind the appliances and behind the drywall. We called SunGlo. They sent our two very polite, professional gentlemen to a**** the damage and determine if it was covered by our homeowner's insurance. When work began, the crew took time to explain to us why the walls had molded so easily (the drywall was flush to the floor, big no-no) and sanitized and sealed the walls from floor to ceiling. We picked out our own wall paneling and flooring. The installation was very professional. The laundry room looks GREAT!

I scheduled the carpet cleaning days ago, the woman was very pleasant and helpful. She told me when they would call to confirm the time the day before and they did. Joe was our carpet cleaner and he was extremely thorough and very pleasant..We even had a neighbor stop in and saw the good job and was going home to schedule them!

They did a great job drying everything out but they have not finished yet because we found alot of other problems in the ceiling as this was the upstairs bathroom so they will be coming back to finish the work which we will be paying them for. When they said they would be here they were here. They explained what they were doing as they were doing it. The tape did tear some of the paint and they are repairing that . They got back with us to make sure we were happy with the work.

Insurance sent Sun-Glo when I called them in the middle of the night, they came couple hours later, put a pump to remove water, and when the water was gone, they installed two huge dehumidifiers, and one air scrubber, which they ran for about a week until everything was dry. They came back every day to check how it is drying. Then they sent two teams - one to remove contents and clean, and another to demolish lost drywall, carpet etc. They packed everything that was high up in many boxes, and carried it out, and they put all the total loss wet items in bags, removed them to the garage and itemized all the losses, and then packed all back in the garbage bags. They removed all the drywall and carpet and such in their truck. They were wearing shoe covers and gloves, and they put plastic on the floors everywhere.
Then there was time to do the repairs, and everything turned gray, they wanted me to sign agreement for them to do repairs right on the spot without seeing their proposal first, then they wouldn't return my calls, and didn't send a guy to take measurements to do the estimate, and it took them way over a month to come to me so I would sign that they did perform job to my satisfaction (and thus get paid from the insurance). They complained that they have too much work, and we decided to hire for repairs somebody else.
Since insurance paid, I cannot comment if the price was fair or not.
They did really good job in my house
