Stanley Steemer

It went great. The technicians were Cesar and Messiah. They wore masks and shoe booties and made me feel safe. They were on time, friendly and professional. My rugs were full of dog hair and stains. The technicians were the best and almost magical. When they were finished my rugs had no hair, no stains, and smelled wonderful. I will definitley continue to use Stanley Steemer especially when they send Cesar.

I was very disappointed. The guys that were here were a real con-job. They offered to give me a special deal if I promised them that they could clean the carpeting or hardwood floors in my other homes that I have. I agreed to it and when I called the office to verify that the deal was bona fide and good, they said that they didn't have any deals like that whatsoever. So I would never use Stanley Steamer again. I will say that they did refund my money, so I won't argue about that one. It's hard to grade the price because I was given a price and it was under $100 to do the first floor, it was all hardwood floor, it wasn't carpeting. It was two kids, probably around 19 years old, and they're the ones that tried to con me into paying for all my homes and they would give me a better deal. I said at that time I didn't want to do it. Then the one kid reduced my price down to $79. After I paid them by check, as soon as they left, I figured something was wrong, that's when I called the main office and got their supervisor and told him about the incident. He said, "no, we don't have any kind of deal, but they can't cash the check because it's made out to Stanley Steamer", so I paid probably around $99.00.

About a month ago we had the basement carpet cleaned in our rental after the renters moved out. The staff did a very professional job- prompt, experienced and efficient. I did not notice what they did with the waste water because I was working on another area in the house. When they finished the carpet was clean and there was no (dirty water) smell in the basement. I don't remember them asking "is it ok if we dump the waste water in your toilet?" but there is a toilet in the basement. This is significant because.... today we had the porch carpet cleaned and the staff guys were very polite and business like especially when I said "WHAT?" when they said they had to use one of our toilets to dump the dirty water that was sucked out of the carpet. Luckily we have a toilet in the laundry room and the porch is not that big so the waste water was minimal BUT, BUT- the laundry room now smells like AN OUT HOUSE!!! Maybe their hose was dirty? So it seems there is now a law which "prevents them from dumping the waste water anywhere but our toilet". (pervious to using our toilets- they used to suction the water into a tank in their truck). SO now the burden of having to dump this waste water into a sanitary system has been put on the home owner instead of this vendor. This "STINKS"

Two techs arrived on time and were very professional during their stay. The house is owned by my 91 year old in-laws. They have recently been moved to a senior home after living in the house for 15 years. During that time the carpeting had never been cleaned and the furniture had never been moved so traffic paths were very bad. The techs had their work cut out for them. I left the empty house with no furniture soon after the techs left on Friday. I returned to the house at 5:00 PM on Monday to evaluate the carpeting after it had dried. The heavily soiled areas were still darker than I expected to see. The techs had said that if there were any areas that did not get satisfactorily cleaned that they would come back and hit it again. The ceramic tile around and behind the toilet did not appear to be cleaned at all. I will not be taking them up on their offer nor use the process again.

They arrived on time and introduced themselves. They were both very polite and professional. They explained the process and some of the services that they offered. They worked very quickly. They even added the deodorizer to one room free of charge because it was a smaller room and one of the men said that he noticed a pet odor. I did not notice an odor in that room however the one room that I did pay to have deodorized and protected seems to have a slight odor to me now a couple days after the service was preformed. I'm not sure how well the deodorizer actually worked. All in all I feel that they did a great job for the price. I will hire them again.

I called on a Friday to get an estimate and they were able to make an appointment to perform the work the following day. Mark and Jeremy arrived on time as scheduled. They were very professional and completed the work in the timeframe estimated. They did an excellent job. Everything looks great. We moved most things out of their way before their arrival. However, they moved living room tables and the sectional and chair to clean the carpet then put them on sponges so the carpet could dry without getting the furniture wet. Our home is now ready to be decorated for the holidays. Thanks for a job well done. The price was a little more than I wanted to pay but after the fact it was well worth it. It's wonderful to know that the products they use have been tested as allergy safe since there is asthma in my family.

.SS employees cleaned carpet I was quoted on. At conclusion of work, when I pointed out remaining spots, crew leader loudly said that I had walked on cleaned carpet with my shoes on, causing the spots. First of all, crew leader asserted something that he had not seen, and was loud and judgemental. Second, what crew leader asserted did not happen. What he asserted was a lie. Third, when I asked to speak with a supervisor, no one called me. I don't want to denigrate all SS employees- many are competent and hard-working. Some are plainly incompetent or have been poorly trained, and at least one, the one I met on 11/25/2014, appeared to be unhinged. I would advise potential customers that the service they will receive will be a crapshoot; a matter of chance, depending on who shows up, and they should not count on speaking with a supervisor.

Let me begin by saying this is the second review I wrote for Stanley Steemer, Angie's List lost the first one, which has this member very upset. If you have never had a flooded basement it is hard to imagine how horrible an experience it is. Everything in the basement was destroyed by the water everything on the floor or on lower shelves. Because it was backup from the sewer and storm drains the microbial bacteria was a real health consideration. I am on oxygen 24/7 and my husband is 79 so it was not possible for us to do this clean up. I started calling storm recovery companies and was put on five different list. Then my brother-in-law in Florida who is an insurance adjuster told me to call Stanley Steemer, I never knew they were storm recovery people. I called Stanley Steemer in the afternoon of the 12th, they came later that evening and set up water extraction dehumidifiers and fans throughout the basement, they also sprayed anti-microbial spray. The next day they came back with moisture meters and determined the equipment was needed longer. On the 14th we had four vans and seven guys come to our house, they removed everything in the basement and cut dry wall and paneling out they did a wonderful job removing the mess and placing it at the curb. Everyone of them was a skilled professional that knew exactly what needed to be done and set about the task. At the risk of sounding cliché I have to say seeing these smiling faces was like watching the rays of sunshine come through the clouds after a bad storm. These young men did such a great job I want to list them all by name: Chris Quaitance, Michael Elliott, Matthew Ritter, Tonin Topi, Garret Figary, Ethan Bembeneck and Chase Stevens. Thanks guys for a job well done. Also the girls in the office were all so very helpful and reassuring what a great job they do. We thank Stanley Steemer for a job well done, you were the last I called and the first to respond. These folks are all an asset to your company.

They did a very good job. In fact I will be hiring them to do our carpets after mothers day. The prices were very reasonable. I am going to have them look at our wood floors as well.

I was given a window of 12-4 for the techs to show. Around 3:30 I received a phone call letting me know the techs were on the way and what their names were and given an approx showtime. About 3:50 the techs arrived, we discussed the job, they set up and got the job done pronto and we had good conversation whilst they worked.

It was fine. The staff was very nice. The price was very reasonable. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

These guys were great! They showed up on time and worked endlessly for 2 hours. I loved how they didn't try to sell me anything extra like carpet protection or fragrance. I booked the date on my computer on our way to Northern Michigan and they called with a confirmation the following day. I will definitely call them again.

They did a good job, the carpets look good. We had a carpet tile area in the basement that had water from a leak previously (since fixed) that cleaned up. I was worried about whether this would turn out and it looks very good now. Not completely sure if this was the Stanley Steemer location, can't find the paperwork. We think that this was the one.

.. Overall, the job was excellent. They were able to clean entrenched dirt from the white carpet at the top of the stairs that several other companies could not do.

Stanley Steamer in Novi has been our go to contractor for cleaning our carpet for several years. They recently worked on a house we have in Dearborn that was a mess. 1 year old carpet that looked like 5 years of dirt with no cleaning. After they were done the carpet looks fantastic. They are quick and prompt to their appointments. When they are done the carpet is clean and smells great. There is very little moisture left too. We continue to call on them to do our work.

I was very satisfied, they came on schedule, they got the work done, and they did a great job. They were friendly and courteous people, my wife was very pleased with them as well.

I haven't had my carpeting cleaned in years and years. The carpeting looks great. There were some stains that they had a hard time with, but they finally got them out. They were great.

Wonderful! Called and they offered an appt the very next day at a time of day convenient for us (Sat from 4-6 pm). Came on time, explained the service they were going to perform, were careful when hauling their equipment up to second floor, did it very efficiently and thoroughly. Moved some big furniture and put things up on form blocks before leaving. Had a question on a spot and called them - they sent someone out immediately to check it out ( turns out it was a stain from years ago that could not be removed -- so no fault of theirs, but they still send someone out to check it out and explain what they suspect the stain was caused by and why it adhered to the fibers and could not be removed with even their professional equipment).

They have come out three times in the past. They gave me a senior discount but left a stain in my bathroom. When they called for the next appointment I let them know I did not want the same crew here and they told me they would send another crew. I will use them again in the future.

I like their online scheduling and the speed with which they do the job. The quality of their work seems good.

I got appointment the very next day. i was upset that on the day of my appointment got cancelled when they said I was not home. i don't know how that happened because I was here all day/ They fixed it and had someone out in 30mins. They started with asking what furniture I wanted moved and any problem areas. We had a plan to do 2 areas free that we paid for in advance. It did not include the deoderizer or sealer so it still was $75. They were professional and did not take a long time. Went over everything with me because it stays wet a long time. If it truly took care of dog urine I will be a customer for life!

I rescheduled the appointment because my painters completed the work ahead of schedule. Office staff was very accomodating and I was able to reschedule a day earlier. Office called to verify appointment; workers showed up on time. I thought they had done a very thorough job, but after closer inspection found that they had missed some hard to reach spots entirely. One closet did not appear to have been touched. Lots of attempts to sell additional services, products, plans by both workers. If I do use this company again I will make sure to watch as they do the work.

They were ok. They were very professional. They were prompt and courteous. I thought the price was pretty reasonable.

They were on time, came in for 2 hours and left. They did a great job.
