Lucido's Discount Moving & Delivery

I booked Lucido's to move my house on the 13th of October. I had used them once before and had a good experience so I was willing to use them again. However, they caused an unbelievable amount of damage to our basement steps and floors at the end of the day. We didn't notice right away because we were packing other things at the same time but when we went back to the house the next day to pack more, we realized what they actually did. My husband and I reached out to Steve, the owner, about it and he deferred us to Joe, which was one of the guys that moved us. He came over, took some pictures, and then left. Later that night I got a text from Steve saying that there is no way it could have been their fault because if it was, we would have noticed it on the day of and we wouldn't have paid them and tipped them. He also said that it must have been caused by something we did after they left but they moved out all of the big heavy things that could have done that, so his comment makes no sense. He also would have no clue what was left over because he wasn't there to see it. Had I noticed it immediately, I would have said something but I also assumed that they would have come forward if they messed something up. I didn't realize I had to babysit two grown men. My issue isn't so much that they caused damage; it's that they tried to hide it and now deny it.They also moved incredibly slow throughout the whole day. It definitely should not have taken as long as it did. However, I would have been willing to over look that if they hadn't caused all of the damage. I should also add that when I tried to discuss this all with Steve he responded as if he were actually there on the day of the move. He claimed that we hired other movers after the fact to move our appliances (which did not happen - the appliances stayed at the house) and that we had a "watchful eye" on his two guys (also not true. though I wish it was so we could have caught it) but we were actually in another room packing up. He also claimed that because we waited so long to reach out, it must not have been them because otherwise we would have noticed it sooner. First of all, this is a lame argument on his part but even still, I explained to him that we did not go back to the house until the next day so we didn't have a chance to see it. However, when I did go back the next day, I absolutely did see it. However, I wanted my husband to also see it before I did anything and it took a couple days for him to make it over there, hence our delay in reaching out to Lucido's. Had I known I had to supervise and inspect our house prior to leaving, I would have. But I didn't think that was necessary with what was supposed to be a reputable company. I'm sure Steve will respond and try to poke holes in my complaint but let's be honest, would I really waste my time with this if it weren't true? I'm already busy enough unpacking and getting settled in a new house. The only reason I'm using my valuable time for this is because it's 100% true and I want to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake. The bottom line is that if something gets messed up, don't bother complaining because they will deny it and try to turn it around on you by claiming things that aren't even true. I urge you not to waste your time and money on them. It's not worth it.

Great communication from Steve. I found him on Craigslist, cross referenced on Yelp and here. Steve kept me up to date on when the movers would be there (text & phone). Move went well. Price was within what I expected. I chose him based on his reviews rather than the "Discount" in his company name -- I've learned that you want pros.. and need to be willing to pay for them-- I feel Steve's company is that -- pros.

What a wonderful experience! Steve, the owner, was always prompt to respond and quoted me a flat rate price below any other quote I received. Based on excellent reviews on Yelp and Google and my positive interactions with Steve, I chose to work with Lucido's. The movers were on time, efficient and skilled at their work as well as excellent communicators. Not one wall ding or piece of furniture dropped - they treated my hodge-podge of belongings as if they were valuable goods. I also have a rather large software-enable treadmill that they were knowledgeable about and moved without incident (it works perfectly!) I can't imagine a move going better (unfortunately I have had other negative experiences in the past) and definitely WILL use them again. I can't recommend them highly enough!

I called Lucido's on a Thursday asking about an appointment the following week for a small move. Steve fit me in on the following Tuesday morning and quoted me a reasonable price right over the phone. The two guys who came to do the job were on time and very pleasant. They worked quickly, and put up with my whims, mind-changing and last-minute requests with humor. Their professionalism was infused with friendly banter and lots of laughter. It was an overall pleasant and successful moving experience. I will use Lucido's for any future local moving needs.

Steve responded to my craigslist ad. We spoke and he provided me with a flat price based upon the items I listed. Steve set me up with an awesome crew to move me to my new place the very next morning. The crew was prompt and professional - they were even early! The team worked together well. The truck and movers blankets were clean. They protected my stuff and tied my items in securely. They were great placing my stuff - taking great care - my newly painted walls still look newly painted. Good experience. Thanks guys!
