Two years ago we had the kitchen installed, soon afterwards one of the planks split and needed replacing. DeGraff inspected and took pictures they said they would get back to us. About a year later we had the living room installed with the same vinyl plank. I requested that the installer fix the kitchen plank , he tried but it is not repaired correctly. DeGraaf came and inspected again, we are still waiting. I will never pay up front again, they require full payment before they install.
Description of Work: We had two rooms of vinyl plank installed.

I rarely write reviews, but felt this one was necessary. I had my tub retiled in April of 2014, and the job was done very poorly. Had the tile guy back to try to fix the problems, but it still looked terrible (tiles not lined up, grout on tile, poor finish work). Several contacts to the sales guy, many unreturned calls. The tile guy was very nice, but the job was just too complicated for him (He did a pretty good job on the floor, which was pretty straight forward). Finally called the plumber that recommended DeGraaf, and told them the issues I was having. They said that they had gotten several complaints over the past year, and had stopped recommending them. They called DeGraaf for me, and one of the owners called me back. Soon after that, they sent out a new tile guy who agreed that the job was done poorly, ripped the whole thing out, and did the job again--he did a nice job. The whole process took about a year, and there was never any offer to discount my job for the poor work and poor response of the company. Would NOT recommend!

This company was recommended by my builder. The sales person was nice and helped me pick out several samples. I am working with a builder, so I only needed to order the flooring, my builder did the installation. Once I placed the order (which took a couple days because the sales rep. wasn't in the showroom when I returned the samples and evidently no one else could place the order), the sales representative became difficult to get on the phone. She had given delivery estimate of 10-14 days, but after 2 weeks, it took several tries before she returned my calls. and three weeks before the flooring was in the warehouse and ready for pick up. The flooring has now been installed and looks beautiful. The prices are very reasonable compared to other companies I compared, but in the future, I would double the time estimate to eliminate the anticipation frustration. It would be nice if the staff could work as a team so that if a certain person is not available, the customer's concerns could still be addressed.

The installers, both carpet and hardwoods, were punctual, polite and very good at their respective jobs. We had no trouble with the installation and are very, very pleased with the results.

Description of Work: Installed carpeting in 5 rooms and down stairs. They were extremely hard workers. They came in, got the job done, cleaned up, vacuumed, and were out the door. I was very pleased with their work and would definitely use them again.

1. A long section of Corian was installed so there was a 3/4 inch gap at the front of my stove, and no leeway at the back, so the whole countertop was not square to the stove. It took multiple visits from the contractor to get the point across that this was unacceptable. During this time they made several inadequate attempts to rectify the problem short of replacing the Corian completely: they attempted to move the cabinets under the counter top which left me with drawers that would not open. Then they lifted the counter up and tried to shift it to make up for the gap at the stove. This was done weeks after the official remodel and the contractor didn't even bother to remove the things that were on the countertop! I returned home later that day to discover that the cord to my IPad had gotten embedded between the backsplash and the Corian counter. They finally addressed the problem by removing the counter and adding a 1and quot; strip to the Corian (which fortunately matched!) at the opposite end of the counter, to make up for the gap between my stove and the counter. This process took about a month! 2. The flooring was installed to meet up with my existing carpeting in three areas. The carpet was cut too close to the tile and I was left with raw edges that immediately began to fray. This was eventually corrected and they were able to at least fold the raw edge under, though the carpeting continues to fray. Second, there were gaps in the grout, and I asked them to return to fill the holes, which I had to mark with tape because they couldn't see them (!). The grout was never adequately cleaned from the tile and 2 months after the official end of the project I asked them to give me a container of grout cleaner and completed this task myself. Finally, there were several sections where the installation of the vinyl base was crooked and not flush between the floor and the base of the cabinets. On one return visit the floor contractor actually put grout in the gap between the final base and the cabinet (REALLY?) when it just needed to be removed, with the old adhesive scrapped away so it would mount flat. Because the actual work was done by DeGraaf's contractors, and they, evidently, had been paid in full, there was little or no incentive (other than their reputations of course) to make it right. The project started in late August and was supposed to be completed within a week. I was still negotiating with the store manager in November to address the open items on the punch list. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel: I hired DeGraaf Interiors (Plainfield location) to replace my old Formica and laminate flooring with tiled backsplash, Corian countertops and Alterna tile on the floor.

The first person was problematic and caused damages to the bathroom drywall. The second technician repaired the issue from the original tech and was very helpful and did a good job.
Description of Work: I hired them to re-tile my bathroom with fiberglass sheet tiles.

We were having some water issues - lots of air in the pipes - so the first thing we decided to check was the well.Raymer installed it in 1996. Pretty responsive, it wasn't an emergency since we had water. They came out and checked the well and showed me it was working fine. I did have an issue with them coming early! I know that sounds odd, but I work during the day and had planned for someone the be there when they stated they would come. They called me several hours early. I was at work, and fortunately was able to leave the meet them. They were waiting in my driveway when I got home. That was a little inconvenient.

Inconvenient changes made from the beginning; delays once the job began due to interposing new clients that were a and quot;higher priorityand quot;; refusal to take responsibility for problems with the very expensive, special ordered wood within a year of the work being done.
Description of Work: Poor return of calls Changing dates to better serve their needs Longer time to do work than estimated because of over extension of the installers; made us feel unimportant, consistently Refused to address problems with multiple gaps and a good deal of creaking of the floor siting the termination of our warranty (less than one year).

THEY ARE VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH. THEIR BIGGEST GOAL WAS TO MAKE SURE THAT WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE WORK THEY WERE DOING. OUR FRIENDS HAVE BEEN COMPLEMENTING US ON OUR FLOOR.
