They were great. They were prompt, did the job quickly, explained things along the way, and even offered to come back the next morning to finish up. Overall, it was a great experience. It has been a few months and I haven't had any new problems.

, Drainage line clogged and flooded basement AGAIN.  Rapid Rooter had been out in  April 2015 and unclogged the MAIN drainage line @ double the cost of this visit, but included a contract to cover the main line for a year.  Of course, the line that clogged was not under warranty.  I was in the hospital at the time, and a call from my sister at the house to Rapid Rooter was responded to quickly.  The service man cleared the line  and explained the problem.  Upon returning home and going through the paperwork, I found that the 15% discount that I should have received according to the above named contract was not noted on the receipt.  When I called to inquire, I was given the response that the discount was given in the written price.  I responded saying that an invoice/receipt always, in my experience, indicates the full price and then the discount, which obviously this receipt did not indicate.  The account manager responded in a timely basis to my written letter and explained that the service person did not correctly complete the receipt: One column was to indicate the regular price, and the column next to it  was for the "member" price.  The regular price column was not filled in.  This is a poor business practice and caused me wasted time as well as a lot of frustration.  Even though this is a what I consider a minor incident, it shouldn't have happened.  My grades were based on this incident.  One other notable question is why wasn't the second drain line included in the "contract?"  It had been inspected during the first visit.    All in all, I would call Rapid Rooter again.  Hopefully, this is the end of a flooded basement.
Response from RAPID ROOTER PLUMBING
"We were originally out to this customer's house on April 6, 2015. We cleaned her main line, found roots, applied product to alleviate that situation, and gave her a one-year warranty. She became a Preferred Member at that time. When her sister called on January 19, 2016, her request was given priority, and we got there as quickly as we could as a perk of her Preferred Membership. It was unfortunate that she was in the hospital at the time and could not be present for this call. When our plumber arrived, he cleaned out the main line for no charge and re-applied the product from the previous visit. From this work, he figured out that the main line was not causing the back-up. Upon further review, he noted that the laundry line was probably the culprit. As the laundry line and the main line are two separate drain lines, that line was not covered under the original warranty. We stand behind the work we do; our warranty is not a “blanket” plumbing warranty to cover all lines in the house. When this customer called in about her preferred pricing, her call was handled by an office assistant, and apparently that conversation did not leave her with a clear understanding of how her invoice was written. Our invoices have two pricing columns: Standard vs. Member. The plumber very clearly wrote the price for her job in the MEMBER column of her invoice/receipt as she received a discounted rate as another perk of her membership. He did neglect to write in the STANDARD rate so she could see the difference with the discounted rate she deserved. Usually the rates are discussed with the person on site, but as this customer was hospitalized at the time, she was unable to participate in that discourse. We apologize that this minor paperwork error has caused her frustration and wasted time. Our intention for each plumber visit is to leave with a satisfied customer. We appreciate that she is still willing to allow us to come back and complete some of the other benefits of her membership."

In January, our sewer got plugged and we called Rapid Router and Randy came out and cleared the problem. The repair cost $283 and was warranted for 6 months. Yesterday (6/26/2012) it clogged again and I called for Randy again. I called at 12:30pm and he arrived before 2:00pm. He checked out the problem and found the clog was under the house about 15 ft. in. He used his router and cleared the clog quickly. When he was done, he cleaned up after himself. Because this was within the warrantee period, the service was no charge. Randy was professional and friendly throughout the visit, explaining everything as he went. We were very satisfied.

The price was less than I expected; it was acceptable.  I liked the fact that when he came over here, he didn’t treat me like I was a dumb person.  He answered all my questions and then explained to me what I could do better.  The house is 50-years-old.  We never had the plumbing routed out or snaked out or anything like that.  He was perfect in being punctual.

The drain in the basement going from the wash room to the main room was once again plugged up.  They cleared that and also checked with cameras on the pipe leading out to the street since that also often plugs up with tree roots.  It was very close to being blocked again, and since I have spent hundreds of dollars every year getting it unplugged, I decided to replace it.  Jason came out early in the morning as he said he would, but then waited over 2 hours in his truck for the man that drives the backhoe to dig up the yard.  He stated that this man is late all the time and he just hates it when he has to work with him because of this.  They didn't actually start until 11:30am when Jason had been there all morning waiting.  So now they are playing hurry up.  They reburied it all in a messy heap, broken tiles and all (i'm not sure if every company does) and were out of there 5:30pm.  They do not level it off and seed it as other companies do, which they told me when I hired them, but they did leave a bag of grass seed which they said they don't normally even do that.  Jason was very knowledgable and courteous and prompt.    I am now worried that they did a "rush" job since the man arrived so late with the backhoe.

The work was performed by Luke. He did everything he said he would do and kept me in the loop while the repair was going on and gave me the results when he was finished. I was pleased with the result and Luke even added me to a service plan that will get me further plumbing work at a discount for the next year.

We called Rapid Rooter when our sewer starting to back up into our basement. They promptly sent someone over. The gentleman that was to fix our sewer was great. He quickly figured out what the problem was, got to work, and cleaned it out. This returned our plumbing back to normal! After he completed the work, we talked and he gave ideas on where we could add another bathroom. We would never have thought of the place, but it turns out it would be a GREAT spot and add something to our kitchen. We were very pleased with all the work that was done and the above-and-beyond suggestions given by the worker. We would recommend them.
